big Windows I assume 1200by 1200 and the small windows 600 by 600
working on this

using rbar 12mm you need 23 pieces full length
17bags of cement
5tonnes of gravel
the left over sand for the floor will cast it..

same mix ratio

just multiply d cost of cement with the number of bags

Thanks. But I don't understand this mix ratio stuff. In our area , they use dis big paint bucket to measure sand ten buckets and gravel ten buckets per one bag of cement. Is it the same thing with 1:3:6?

for the German floor u need to give the building dimension and thickness of slab...

for the chain lintel I suggest is just a waste of materials just do the lintel to cover the opening and nothing more it's as not structural value..

Ok. The house measures 42 ft by 42ft. The German floor will be 4 inches thick. As for the lintel; the house has 17 doors and 13 big Windows& four small windows( Rods and cement to cover only the openings). Tanx

that is too far, instead of buying it now why can't you deposit the money with the seller .....what you need is about 15 plank. according to your foundation size.

I draw this offhandedly because I've a noetic taste... Since it's my personal house,I don't need a floor plan because I know my taste,more over;I've to cut down all unnecessary fees at all cost and focus on the success of the building...but I'll upload the rough floor plan later...Thanks for your observations.

. Dat will be better because we're in a digital age and you don't nid to come to me or meet with me face to face before you can get a contract from me or others through this forum. Dat is why your packaging matters. And it's packaging dat makes d difference. If I follow your thread from floor plan to completion,I might be impressed with what you can do,just like others too.

Where is your floor plan? Or we should just be looking at blocks? I don't see any sense in opening a construction thread without uploading the floor plan. Otherwise, how can one understand and appreciate the building.

according to your 1st message you said you are doing the lintel round and cover the opening area inside only, which I said it's ok....chain lintel.

but to your last message here you are now asking if both inn and out opening area will have lintel only....you can do it this way also BUT that is not chain lintel. but so far your block and and foundation is solid you are good to go.....it's not bad for bungalow.

1) By doing the lintel round it means chain lintel, then cover only the opening area but make sure you extend the lintel by 225mm on each side of the openings more so introduce Colums at the appropriate interval of the building, why because you might introduce parapet later or soonest as am seen it.

2( two courses of block is enough or max..3, further more,
your roof height is ok btw 12-14ft.

Ok. Are u saying I should do the lintel round and cover only the opening areas in the inside OR I should cover only the openings both inside and outside? More clarification PLEASE. Then as for parapet, I wouldn't do it

(1) LINTEL- I have been hearing about chain lintel but I want to do my own right round and then cover only the openings in the inside. (2) Can I lay 4 courses of blocks after lintel in order to achieve a high ceiling. (3) How many feet high can I do the roof because I want a high roof (send-down-the-rain)

Am a little confused about this compaction stuff. My foundation was filled in May and I plan to leave it for rainfall till December before I do the German floor. Will it still require compaction/ ramming before laying the hardcore because we are going to use hardcore? Plz,I need ur advice because I don't want any problem of sinking in the future. Tanx
