The constitution also gives a state governor the powers to dissolve a council cabinet but he(Amaechi) did not do that.

On why the Assembly is yet to conclude its investigation, the matter is already in court and it will be inappropriate to decide or comment publicly on cases sub judice.

Your reasons for why there is a near collapse of our educational system, I should ask you of what use then is a minister of education who feed fat on public purse?

I think a problem with Nairaland which i take to be a representation of Nigeria and Nigerians is that we cannot start our discussions on a foundation of truth, even when you know and i know, and you know that i know , and i know that you know that i know, we would still brazenly deny what we all know to try and justify our sentiments and bias.

Rivers State Governor, Governor Chibuike Amaechi has requested a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, to restrain the People Democratic Party, PDP, from probing his six years in office.
Amaechi made this request on the day the factional chairman of the state PDP, Felix Obuah led a delegation to President Goodluck Jonathan to apologise over Amaechi’s conduct. The move is seen as rekindling of the fading feud between President Jonathan and the governor.
Following Governor Amaechi’s application, trial judge, Justice Godspower Aguma ruled that parties in the suit should maintain the status quo pending determination of the preliminary objection by counsel to the defendants.
Adjourning the matter to July 30 to rule on the issue of jurisdiction, the judge said.

Frendys: I hardly respond to political comments but I can't shy away from this.

I had an interview clip where Rt. Hon. Amaechi remarked that " Odili made me." This was a man who was then the Speaker of the state Assembly as at the time he granted that interview. I am still keeping the copy and I proudly tell people where this man come from: He is a man of outstanding charater, humility and loyalty.

He knows what he is saying and is the real truth. He was loyal to Odili till the end and his then Master, Odili, betrayed him. I felt for him because I knew how loyal and dedicated he was to Odili. Yet he forgave Odili at the end.

The only vote I've casted in my life was for Hon. Amaechi and I have no regret whatsoever. And I am not from Rivers State. Even though I left my house for a rented apartment now because of bad road in the my area, Rt. Hon Amaechi is the best thing that has happened to the State in recent time.

What you sow is what you reap. That he is being betrayed by his own people is the persecution that comes with being blessed by God.The truth will always prevail. Keep going forward my Governor!

Odili had to tell Ameachi to leave his ambition not because he wanted to but because he had no choice, you cannot say Odili betrayed him. If he was loyal and humble he would have obeyed his boss but he didn't.
Ameachi told Wike to abort his Senatorial ambition when there was clearly no obstacle in his way and he obeyed.
Ameachi told several other people in Rivers State to leave their aspirations, most where told at the very last minute and they all obeyed. That one no be betrayal ooo..
Ameachi who was the key player in Odilis administration has carefully and thoroughly demonized Odili beyond redemption while carefully exempting that beyond being the speaker he was the most powerful and influential person in the state, whatever Ameachi said in Odili's government happened.
Ameachi might be other things but he is not a humble and loyal man.

He has been careful not to insult Ameachi even when everybody was expecting him to go on the verbal aggressive.
Insulting at their level has no political value, would make you lose sympathy and reinforce the resolve of your opponent.
He should learn to injure without insult.
It is easier for a man to forgive for loss but a mans pride wars know no end.....
Wike has injured Ameachi severely but has not insulted him.

A wise soldier never slights his opponent.
Issues can be resolved but insults cannot.
You only end up fueling his zeal and determination.
Ameachi should learn from Wike.

A day before the state of emergency declaration Amaechi rose on behalf of the governors forum to warn the president against trying such an action. After the declaration ACN and NEF against popular opinion and the opinion of many governors have aggressively condemned the action. Using this we can clearly see the divide of interests even against the general good.
Ameachi's problem is not 2015 but his everyday actions aimed at grounding the government no matter the cost with the aim of succeeding in 2015. He is not the only person with 2015 ambitions. If he faced his 2015 plans without trying to bring down the government using the NGF he would not have been in trouble.

1. He should ban all political meetings in the state and use police and thugs to arrest and beat up the fools.
2. He should use his EXECUTIVE POWERS to sieze and demolish properties belonging to his opponents.
3. He should check if there are any more insulting words he can use on elders in the state.
4. He should evict people from there waterfront homes( very important).
