koife: MY MAVERICK VIEW OF EBOLA VIRUSYour problem is education, let me start by appreciating the time you took to show the whole world how dense your brain is. As much as the opinion you spewed up there remains yours as such, you expect it to be respected, the bad news is this; not all opinion is worthy of public consumption and that is why men and women aka parents spent so much to bring you up to speed in ratiocination. Time, energy, resources, sacrifice were made to see that you don't think this way but after all the effort, the resultant effect was a pea brain embedded in a This opinion of yours is the reason the Northern part of Nigeria suffered a polio epidermic recently, because at some point, riffraff like you told them they are using immunization to sterilize Africans the reason they refused immunization and became lab rats for the polio virus, where they better off in their fears? of course not, they are the street beggars that every state Govt is fighting so hard to rehabilitate and in the worst cases, deport them back to where they came from. If people like Koife managed to be blessed with a functional head against the pear Angel Gabriel gave him in place of head, he would have juxtaposed the south vs North sterility ratio to ascertain the veracity of the so called conspiracy theorem, but as an African individual cursed already not just with shady looks but shady brains also, had no time to task his @OP aka Koife, today is not really my birthday but a day of magnanimity I set aside not to educate m0r0ns like you but to see if I can awaken the least logical consciousness from your dense brain. Africa as a continent is backward, of course a continent filled with individuals like the OP cannot really make progress, because of this, we have no real answer to what our problems are and how it affects us, it was the same white that explained it to us and equally gave us a chance to fight them. How? Before now, Mr OP, your fore fathers were throwing sickle cell patients to the evil forest and blaming it on "Ogbanje" not until the whites came and told them what it is and how they could prevent it, I don't expect you to understand this point as a scion of those Neanderthals who were dehumanizing their fellow species, assuming that evolution has made a little difference in you over the years, will you say we didn't have Sickle cell before now? we did, but we knew not what it was, thanks to the white man who told us and proffered a way out. I know your dense brain never knew that Ebola has been around since 1976, of course being a product of Jakande free education I am certain that your Biology teacher being an unqualified corper must have skipped that part. The fact that we waited for the white man to discover it for us doesn't mean it was not there and instead of pinning it on the white man, sane minds are grateful for their works in Africa and have shown appreciation through awards and honors, as a goat brain, I am sure you know not why Bill gates have won "Time" magazine man of the year award severally. Now talking about diseases and the foreign interest like you alleged; Black plaque wiped Europe's population by 30% between 1346-1350, since the destination was Europe at the time, does your postulation on the white man stand? VHF (viral hemorrhagic fever) ravaged Mexico in 1576, guess the white gave it to them too? plague was in England in 1603, Italy between 1629-1631 etc, are you saying they gave it to themselves, at the cost of 280,000 lives in the case of Italy? 1 million Russians died between 1852 to 1860 of guess what? "yellow fever", ya! it was a problem at the time, who gave it to them? Much recently in 2009, "Dengue fever" ravaged Australia are you still holding on to your conspiracy theory? if the white men have had equal share of their own epidemic, common sense should cease this medium to inform you that your present day 2014 is the white man's 1840, unfortunately, there is no sense in you let alone one that is common. The difference between you and the white man is that, while you are lazy looking for a god to bribe 10% to solve your problems or where to trade blames, they were pragmatic enough to get the solution to their problems, while you continued living in 1540 Europe in 2014. should be proper I said "Shame on you" at this point. Why will the whites give you epidermic when they have had worse epidemic than yours at some point in their history? oh! sorry, I forgot that dense brains don't read, they just peruse pictures. Why will they be interested in depopulating you when the first 5 most populous nations are not even in Africa? And your new found Ebola being controlled by red cross and Doctors without borders, guess they are African organizations too? Billionaires in America and Europe are contributing immensely to research and development of vaccines for the diseases ravaging Africans, typical example is the cholera outbreak in Nigeria in 2001 and the Poliomyelitis outbreak in 2007, Bill gates (a white man by the way)coughed out over $80m from his hard earned sweat to give victory to ingrates like you who would have been national statistics had he not intervened. Bill and Mellisa foundation (a consortium of American and European Billionaires, with no Nigerian Billionaire as a member by the way) have invested over $250m for an African never do well like you, a scum whose sense of reasoning has been greatly impaired by high doses of "Eba" to have a malaria vaccine come 2015. When you hear USAID, SFH etc you don't know that the white man is the reason HIV and Aids have not sent Africans like you to the great beyond. What concerns Bill gates with your malaria? mosquito dey bite am? but the humanity in him is the reason a break through will be made come 2015, I don't expect a low life in your position to appreciate that anyways!! afterall there is no clear difference between stup!dity and evil. It is an unappreciative fool who peddles conspiracy theorem as yours, I hereby declare you a patient in dire need of Moral rehabilitation. |
YourHealthlabs: Scientists under the aegis of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria in Cross River State have called on the Federal Government to urgently put in place effective emergency response mechanism to prevent the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the country. The sh!t has been in West.Africa since March this year what were you fvcktards doing? |
Samgreguc: y mst it b US Food and Drug Administration and not NAFDAC?Because Iwu has graduated from research Scams to Electoral scam |
prettyprettywow: Na wa o. Imagine Obembe "we have medical and non-medical workers. Medical workers are Drs while non-medical are allied health workers" If the word "medical refers to Drs alone, I wonder why we have "medical"lab scientists, Medical rehab, medical image scientists.Because there are lab scientists in the Analytical Labs, you use the medical to distinguish that the lab exist in a hospital. |
spikesC: If we run from our problems, who will solve them for us.Funny hw people say our right, our land, what belongs to them, lol, I propose mental profiling for this poster I quoted and his likes, anyone with his IQ or below should be sacrifised to which ever deity is interested. |
ofenmanucom: Never U mention Ojukwu again in Ur entire life! Imbe.cileYour restraint in using words like the above shows the depth of your home training. lemme guess, product of a broken home? single parent hood? raised by mum cos dad was alcoholic and ran away? product of forced adoption from dad's concubine? or just a juvenile societal misfit? either ways, I dont need a clairvoyant to tell me that you lack what it takes to be competitive in the world of the sane little wonder you found solace in buffoonery. you have my sympathy bro! dont wanna be you. |
Osahenoma: The truth is anybody seeking for peace must first of all fight a war. You know why, because the barbarian beating the drum for war won't stop if approached peacefully so war need to be taking to them and u justice will ever win over injustice.Tell me one nation who fought a war without direction and is better off for it? |
OrlandoOwoh: No amount of patience would have made Ojukwu shift ground. Btw, were Ojukwu and Gowon not made to appear in different places to broker peace? Didn't Ojukwu boasted he had the best army?your history is highly impaired, pls go and study. I tell you what, for every 10 Nigerians who prefer war to peaceful co existence, 9 missed history lessons, yours is more obvious though!! |
OrlandoOwoh: I just wish you ask those old people too, (1) if the the Biafran/Nigerian War had not been fought whether Gowon would have succeeded in stoping Ojukwu from seceding. (2) If the Niger Deltan militants had not fought whether any round table discussion would have led to the marshall plan there. How did ojukwu's secession solve the pogrom at the time since that was the major issue that destabilised the regions? please remind me what the Niger delta marshall plan is? |
OrlandoOwoh: I'm sorry you don't understand international relations. War is a means of resolving issues that have defied peaceful resolution. Let's not go too far, if the militants in the Niger Delta had not taken up arms, no deliberation would have led to the creation of the Ministry of Niger Delta.Do you sincerely believe the Niger delta ministry was created for the Niger deltans or part of the war spoils for the Burgeoisse who never saw action? |
idnobleg: ...and who is Chris Ngige? You mean the bill-less senator? I can still take my chances, my biggest fear in a faceless forum will be arguing with a terry G mindset. |
declaro: Thank you OP for reminding us that the threat of war is very real in Nigeria. Unfortunately many of us youths, specifically those who were born after the Civil War, have only romanticised versions of it. They quote things like “war is peace” and other ridiculous statements made by rogues who started or gained from wars. I wish they would quote the ordinary people who were butchered or starved to death by war. I wish they would quote women who were Molested and mutilated by foot soldiers, I wish they would quote the innocent children who cried helplessly while their hungry stomachs rumbled. I wish they would imagine the terror that stalked everyone, the stench of death and blood, the frantic pleadings before the victim was hacked to death.lolzzzzzzz, you are writing to people who lack basic common sense? Dense brains that education however substandard have failed to refurbish their sensibilities? I will only support a war that will reduce the number of f00ls we have in this country. This 90's generation is a threat to our National security. A form of age profiled cleansing will be more appropriate. |
proudly233: Them need to shut down nairalandThreat to National security |
IGBOSON1: ^^^You're not making any sense......all in a bid to get in a dig at Ikemba! Where did the guy you quoted say he wants to die for Nigeria?comprehension problem is not a license for buffoonery, where you dont understand, ask the relevant questions. |
Leibnitz: If war can end all these injustice in the polity let be it...poverty speaking, if you could afford the good things of life, you wont be in a hurry to become a tent living refugee in Benin Republic. |
tinkinjow: There is no real beating of the drums of war in this Nigeria. What you may call war drummings are simply calls by regions to be allowed to take their affairs into their hands. As a person who study and learn from antecedents, the last agitation from the creek was the dire need to salvage the pollution in their beloved land, tell me, now that the FG is paying the agitators huge sums of money, who is cleaning up the creeks? What fraction of the proceeds have been committed to environmental cause? Compensation to land owners? Build schools etc lest I forget, the school ended up in Benin republic, when next you wish to choose an agitation, kindly choose one that doesnt insult my sensibilities. |
Leibnitz: If war can end all these injustice in the polity let be it...Ironically, the men who re creating the ''polity'' you wish to die for have estates abroad and the means to get there in milli seconds while you loose every breathing lineage of yours, re u not a f00l? Ask the Ibos after war and famine ravaged their generations, was Ojukwu anywhere to be found? Ok! Case you dont know, he ran to ivory coast where he tripled his concubines and left what is left of biafra for Effiong to salvage. Now tell me, that history of yours is less than 60yrs old, wont it be a curse to the day u were concieved if you fail to learn from your past? |
phantom: JP i use mgbuoba everyday to work and MCC did resurfacing recently on it. it is very good though gets flooded at some points when it rainsIt is just the woji-elelenwo bypass that is under construction, Elelenwo road is still a disaster, don't even go anywhere close to rumuibekwe, you will sink, Transamadi is something else!! |
kel4soft: You are a bloody liar. How can company construct the road of state government? You just raised false alarm to discredit Amaechi. This state government are constructing everything from her purse. Those companies pay their taxes? So was it not that same RCC that constructed from Airforce to Rumuodoy-Airport road? Was it not RCC that constructed Elekaiah road? Was it not same company that dualised Oginigba road? So which one is LCC standard? Are you ok! mixing afternoon dose with evening dose to save time is causing you more harm than good, best you stick to the doctor's prescription. |
phantom: na wa to you o JP!!! na only you waka comeIt is called privileged info!! gracias will do, BTW they are paying through RVSG because it awarded the contract |
phantom: please take it easy.everything no be quarrel. kindly list the roads that are still very bad in PH minus iwofe, elioporanwo and rumuagholu because these three have been awarded.Woji, rumuibekwe, elelenwo, mgbuoba road to mention a few |
EMEKA1MILLION: Relax... Am coming Tmrw with my counter pictures of other important parts of Port Harcourt that lacks credible roads and drainage systems...No need, Amaechi is contributing just 30% of that project (slaughter to elelenwo,), 70% is paid by companies in trans amadi who want easy access to Onne through Akpajo, the quality of that road is nothing like Amaechi's LCC standard roads. |
Louissss: Tank you.. I'm just too scared to go to a hospitalWhy do you think you have HIV? |
calltonia2000: am in abujaWhat do you need it for and what quantity do you want? |
LAGOS (Reuters) - A Liberian man in his 40s is being tested for the deadly Ebola virus in Nigeria's commercial capital of Lagos, a megacity of 21 million people, the Lagos State Health Ministry said on Thursday. Ebola has killed 632 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since an outbreak began in February, straining a string of weak health systems despite international help. This would be the first recorded case of one of the world's deadliest diseases in Nigeria, Africa's biggest economy and most populous nation, with 170 million people and some of Africa's least adequate health infrastructure. http://af.reuters.com/article/topNews/idAFKBN0FT1Z120140724 |

Ukeachu1: wrong timing for a joke sirDo I really expect you to have sense when your Govt refused to sensitize you on how to contain the Virus. |
Has the mofo been shot and burned? they should track down the cab that brought the person and everyone he or she made contact with for immediate quarantine, our useless Govt couldn't send health workers to the borders since this outbreak over 5months ago. |

FREETOWN (Reuters) - The head doctor fighting an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Sierra Leone has himself caught the disease, one of a growing list of medical workers infected while battling to halt its spread across West Africa. Ebola has killed 632 people across Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone since an outbreak began in February, putting strain on a string of weak health systems facing one of the world's deadliest diseases despite waves of international help. In a sign of the growing frustrations with the failure of region's governments to tackle the outbreak, a Liberian whose brother died from the disease set fire to the Health Ministry in protest on Wednesday. A statement from the president's office said 39-year-old Sheik Umar Khan, a Sierra Leonean virologist credited with treating more than 100 Ebola victims, had been transferred to a treatment ward run by medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres. A source at the ward confirmed that the doctor was alive and receiving treatment, but gave no details of his condition. View gallery Khan, head doctor fighting the deadly tropical virus … Sheik Umar Khan, head doctor fighting the deadly tropical virus Ebola in Sierra Leone, poses for a p … Khan has been hailed a "national hero" by the Health Ministry for his efforts to lead the fight against an outbreak that has killed 206 people in the West African nation. There is no cure or vaccine for Ebola, which can kill up to 90 percent of those infected, although the mortality rate of the current outbreak is around 60 percent. It was not immediately clear how Khan had caught the virus. His colleagues told Reuters that he was always meticulous with protection, wearing overalls, mask, gloves and special footwear. Three days ago, three nurses working in the same Ebola treatment center alongside Khan died from the disease. Tarik Jasarevic, a spokesman for the World Health Organization, said around 100 health workers had been infected by Ebola in the three countries, with 50 of them dying. "Personal protection equipment is very hot. But there is a very strict procedure how you wear it, how you take it off, what can be re-used or not," he said. View gallery Health workers take blood samples for Ebola virus … Health workers take blood samples for Ebola virus testing at a screening tent in the local governmen … Earlier this month, Samuel Muhumuza Mutoro, a senior Ugandan doctor working in Liberia died after treated infected patients. "AFRAID FOR MY LIFE" The latest WHO figures, released on Saturday, showed that there were 19 new deaths and 67 new cases within the four days since its previous statement. The Ebola outbreak started in Guinea's remote southeast and has since spread across the region's poorly controlled borders. Symptoms of the highly infectious disease are diarrhea, vomiting and internal and external bleeding. Part of Liberia's Health Ministry was destroyed on Wednesday when Monrovia resident Edward Deline set fire to the building in protest over the death of his 14-year-old brother from Ebola. "The health (workers) here are not doing enough to fight this virus. They are taking this to be a money making thing while our people are dying," Deline told journalists after he was arrested by police. Local and international health workers face a combination of fear, suspicion and local traditions for burying the dead as they try to prevent Ebola spreading further. [ID:nL6N0PO12H] During a Reuters visit to the Kenema treatment center in eastern Sierra Leone in late June, Khan said he had installed a mirror in his office, which he called his "policeman", to check for holes in his protective clothing before entering an isolation ward. Nevertheless, Khan said he feared Ebola. "I am afraid for my life, I must say, because I cherish my life," he said in an interview, showing no signs of ill health at the time. "Health workers are prone to the disease because we are the first port of call for somebody who is sickened by disease. Even with the full protective clothing you put on, you are at risk."
