Don't you know it's insiders that give info about the movement of these top targets Israel has been eliminating? You're right. I'm just surprised they didn't even try. It reminds me of when Israel assassinated Hamas leader in Gaza that year, a man named Yasin and Dr Rantisi was announced as his replacement - only for Israel to kill him within a very short time. I was expecting these guys to delay the nomination a bit. |

[ QuinQQ: I'm a Christian. We don’t believe in worshipping ancestors and sacrficing animals. We do believe that Lord Jesus (as part of the God head) laid down his life (and 3 days later took it up again) so that "whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16) QuinQQ: Well I know that when Britain was advancing towards Benin with a few soldiers, the Oba was busy sacrificing pregnant women and worshipping ancestors. They picked hm up like a chicken and sent him on exile. So also rest of Africa and all societies around the world that worship ancestors. There was a Christian woman whose car had a brake failure at a corner. She started to call out repeatedly to Jesus, while doing her best to stabilize the vehicle. Unfortunately, she lost control and the vehicle fell into a ditch. She died. So this DISPROVES Jesus? |

Politics › Re: Sunday Igboho Says He Is A Christian Who Uses Charms, Sparks Fresh Debate by JuanDeDios: 6:27pm On Feb 28 |
QuinQQ: Yeah, Ifa makes sense until it starts talking about ancestors and sacrifices. Most successful societies don't worship ancestors and don't sacrifice animals! Same way societies with lowest infant mortality don't cut baby faces Fair point. Animal sacrifices don't belong in the modern world. I guess that's why they don't practice it in Rabbinical Judaism. I'm sure Ifa people will get there too, with time. Face marking has reduced - it'll go with time too. Nothing wrong with ancestor worship though. What you worship is just a function of your belief, nothing more. It will never make sense to anybody, except those who share the belief with you. |

QuinQQ: People are strange. Of all religions the one that resonates with that Spanish guy is Ifa! (See below) These don't look bad. If I'd read this when I was still "searching", I'm sure I'd've found them very interesting, at least, and given Ifa a second glance. On the circled, I've noticed that all religions emphasis sacrifice. Blood sacrifice, in particular, is a huge feature of pagan religions. I guess that's why blood sacrifice also features heavily in Christianity and Islam, as it does in their forebear Judaism, which had its roots in ancient Canaan pagan religions. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by JuanDeDios: 3:57pm On Feb 28 |
amaridigital: Abegi cut the crap and follow a reasonable leader who isn't following the advice of madman. Who is importing garri, beans and tomatoes into Nigeria? These items are also cheap now. When most farmers were hoarding food to create artificial scarcity in order to inflate prices obi was crying about high food prices. He's now running out of what to use as campaign tactics. I thought some people on this forum especially Groundnutarians said that these are propaganda and no reduction in food prices anywhere. Do we now believe the Groundnutarians who said no reduction in food prices or Obi who said food prices reduction would affect farmers? @ConDawah Bolded is the notion I'm concerned about - the wrong idea that food prices go up because farmers "inflate" prices. People see these upswings and downswings of food prices every few years, yet they refuse to accept basic economics. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by JuanDeDios: 3:54pm On Feb 28*. Modified: 4:12pm On Feb 28 |
Slytiger: You went into food business to try and exploit people with wicked profits by hoarding supplies? No. I'm not into storage business. But storage business is a legitimate business too – without it, food would go to waste and prices would be even higher. Pity you've miseducated yourself on the subject. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by JuanDeDios: 3:52pm On Feb 28 |
ConDawah: There's no way any country will experience high food prices for two consecutive years. It's basic economics. What we're witnessing in general low price of agricultural produce is in direct response to scarcity witnessed in the previous year. We just need to ensure the surplus don't go to waste, and not create artificial scarcity to please the farmers. Most of us are also farmers in our own right. God forbid this charlatan finds his way to our national life, never. Everything you said is correct (apart from the bolded). These things go in circles - every farmer worth his salt knows it and those who are able prepare for it. I was just pointing out that when the high-price years come around, people will not remember and will make it look as if farmers deliberately create high prices. Mr Obi is right to point it out too - that high prices, even though they're good, also have a downside on the national economy. Nothing charlatanish about that. |
Politics › Re: Crashing Food Price Would Make Farmers Poor - Peter Obi by JuanDeDios: 3:27pm On Feb 28 |
Slytiger: "The drop of food prices in the market has killed our farmers" - Peter Obi ******* It will. People are already gnashing their teeth. Some farmers have debt. The other day, someone sold his cassava farm for opueke price to herdesmen to feed their cattle. But Nigerians don't care. They're not interested. Government no send. In a couple of years when high prices come around again, they will wail and cry endlessly about "greedy farmers" and "meedle men". |

WriterNig: And that addiction will be cured the day bombs fall on US cities.
They'll get to experience what they've subjected other countries through for decades.
Bombing other countries relentlessly while they're safe back home makes them feel invincible.
This is why they're against any country developing long range ICBMs that can reach their country.
They want to be able to kill you while telling you not to develop weapons that can kill them back. American logic.
The US bombings have killed nearly 5 million people in the middle east. So it's wrong to bomb other countries now. Oh, it's right when Russia does it. Better if bombing targets are day care centres and supermarkets. Smh. |
