Fenrir: Put your number on here Take a video call Screenshot my image during that call and post it
You think i will ever do things based demands of other people? Fella you have been completely missing my point and my mindset
I want I demand Get nothing at all Respect begets respect Please and thank you cost absolutely nothing And since like the men here you were incapable of using the most basic form of respect that OUR EUROPEAN COUNTRIES RAISE INTO US you do it my way or no way at all
Even in the military i was rarely given orders mostly just let loose to cause chaos
I was trying to upload an audio clip to tell you exactly what I think of you, seems I swear to much
Softmirror: Good luck to Nigerians who care to go to Czech Republic. 😁
Not a bad country really. It has its issues too, but it's not Russia (a mafia state of might is right ruled by a mafia boss and his gang) or Myanmar (a soulless country where everyone hates everyone) or South Africa (where hating Nigerians is a national past time).
Adesina18111: Welcome to Nigeria... Only poor man pikin go suffer... In a sane country, KWAM1 or whatever his name is would have been behind the bars now
Mr Achimugu's statement actually makes some sense. The airline acted within its right in Miss Emmanson's case. In the case of K1, the airline chose not to act - also within its right. It's unfair, but it's what it is.
But that's for the civil aspect. For the criminal aspect, how come the POLICE promptly detained, investigated and are prosecuting Miss Emmanson but have done nothing about K1's case?
seunmsg: My suspicion that the Ibom Air incident was a charade to get at K1 has now been confirmed. It was all staged to present a double standard argument. Peter Obi rushing to tweet about it and calling for the arrest of K1 codedly like he just did says is all. This is the same guy that has never for once called for the arrest and prosecution of Ipob, ESN and UGM ramping all over south east.
He has defended Nnamdi Kanu every time and severally called for his arrest despite the criminal atrocities committed by that guy and his group. Even when Simon Ekpa was arrested for all his crimes in Finland, Peter Obi never said a word. When Mmesoma forged Jamb result and Oby Ezekwesili was dancing publicly in her support, Peter Obi never saw anything wrong in those act.
Now that it’s K1, they are all falling over each other calling for his arrest.
To you all K1 and Yoruba haters, hear this and hear well, nothing will happen to K1. He will not spend a day in jail. If you like, put up 1000 charade like the Ibom Air incident, the actor will be arrested and no one will touch K1. Period!
Hmm. The speed with which the average Nigerian recedes into their ethnic enclave. Igbo. Yoruba. Hausa. They all do this. Nigeria be damned. Right and wrong take a back seat. It's my tribe first. We'll all pay the price of a dysfunctional country. We're already paying.
HeadNigga: Survive in what situation? Being chased by the animal? Being thrown into a cave with the animal? If it's the latter no one can survive it but if it's the former only the likes of Usain Bolt stand a chance. $100m can't make you a biblical Samson nor Usain Bolt. I will pass and keep hustling...I will get there some day

dawnomike: Well, seems the only military Junta governance seems to be a bit stable after numerous coup dè tat and assassination plots is that of Burkina Faso!
You think those ones are stable? Well, watch out.
Military regimes are inherently unstable. Accusing themselves of coup plotting and murdering themselves in the barracks after kangaroo trials comes with military regimes. That's why all militaries do better under civil rule.
Demonstrations have broken out across Cote d'Ivoire after 83-year-old President Alassane Ouattara announced his intention to seek a fourth term in office.
The decision has sparked widespread criticism from opposition groups and citizens, raising concerns about political stability ahead of the country’s next election.
This in continuation of the examples set by all those before him - Biogny, Bedie, Guei, Ggbabo. I just hope Mr Quatarra has got his own Charles Ble Goude to help him prosecute his fourth term agenda.
9jatriot: With regards to chasing farmers though, it was as a result of food security. Food prices were soaring and export was attractive to farmers instead of the local market.
The idea was for local market not to suffer, however, the intention is to ramp up food production so that we can have surplus to export and earn some forex
Yes, restricting the export of a food commodity at a time of scarcity is ok - if it's properly communicated that it's only for a period so that you don't discourage farmers tilling away in hopes of cashing in on high prices across the border. The problem with ours is the randomness of it. For example, the other day, Kogi State HA intervened to stop cashew growers from selling to the highest bidder, saying they must sell to some state-approved "middle men". Stalinist Russia would have been proud of Kogi.
guobe: One dollar equals 7 chines yuan which is not bad even though China manufacturers and exports. 1,500 naira to a dollar is madness I insist.
1:7 is a weak currency in relative terms. I was in this country when naira moved from higher than a dollar to $1:N1.20 and everyone started complaining about how weak the naira had become. Now, check the rate of yen to dollar too. I'm sure you'll see it in that place you got that of yuan from.
9jatriot: So, do those guys have 2 heads, instead of bragging that you are an import dependent country, is it not time for us to roll up our sleeves and take advantage of the exchange rate and start becoming an import country.
Do you know how much China will be happy to have this exchange rate but US would not allow them?
Reading posts like Mr Guobe's and hearing things like that again and again makes one realise what's wrong with us: we focus on the wrong issues. We think a weak currency is the problem. We think "brain drain" is the problem. Heck, we even think export is a problem (if you see how they chase farmers in the north for trying to export their agric produce to neigbbouring countries). Mind you, we also think import is the problem.

[quote author=guobe post=136415622]We don't export while they do That's the point, isn't it?
and also their currencies are not weak. What's the rate of yen to dollar? Yuan to dollar? Are they anything close to 1:1?
We are currently having brain drain due to our useless naira as our best brains have all JAPA. Why is Japan not experiencing "brain drain"? Why is China not worrying about "brain drain" - even though they lose a lot of their good people too?
guobe: And your mates in the same world abroad will make more than your monthly salary in a day and will send money home to purchase a property you want to purchase too.
Ever wondered why this isn't a problem for Asian economic giants (e.g. Japan and China) whose currencies are also "weak" compared to Western currencies?
Believeintruth: Both of them are unstable. The weak naira for an import dependent country is a recipe for disaster.
Only as long as it's unstable. Once the economy adjusts to the stable price, it stops being such a huge problem. In any case, we're trying encourage exports, aren't we? Maybe we'll someday get a government that isn't stuck in old ways and will allow the export of agric produce too.
guobe: 1,500 naira to a dollar is madness,1500 naira to a dollar us absolutely madness,1500 naira to a dollar is total madness.
It's not. A weak naira isn't a problem. An unstable naira is a problem. If we can keep the naira stable (even if it's N2000), businesses can plan and things will improve.
Reveals to who? I thought everyone knew the story already – of how his godfather, Chris Uba, took him to swear at the shrine. Dude kept saying that as a Catholic, he went there with his Bible. But you sha went there and were beholden to them. That's why they later order the AIG Raphael Ige to lock you in a toilet and force you to sign your resignation when you refused to give them the key to Anambra State's treasury. Power-desperate men.
seunmsg: So, I saw this thread on X formerly Twitter where Nigerians from all over the country are expressing their happiness over the improved power supply in the country. Most people claimed they have abandoned their generators as a result of constant supply of electricity. This indeed is what sharing. We may not be there yet but we must acknowledge the improvement we are witnessing.
Kudos to the Minister of power and everyone involved in the electricity sector from generation to final distribution to our homes and businesses.
FreeIgboho: Folks, please, is this man a FOOL or what?? You make statements like this through surrogates because you were part of the administration!
He likely is. I'm no fan of Mr Tinubu, but anyone that thinks Mr Buhari is better than him or any other president needs their head examined. With this statement, Mr Amaechi loses my vote - if he ever had it.

Maitunbi: Carb so often gets a bad rap but it's the default fuel source for the body, especially the brain. The body only resorts to other fuel source when sugar is not available. Any diet that is devoid of any form of sugar is not sustainable and -- I would even argue -- not very healthy.
