Isiah 53:6, Isiah 6:7, Isiah 40:2, Isiah 53:8 .There are many old prophesies apart from Isiah.

These are prophesies of Isiah about his sufferings and death.

I wrote Jesus "promised" to "send" a comforter while you wrote that Jesus "prophesied that a Comforter will come after him".
In that aspect,I wrote that it is not a "Prophesy" but a "Promise". Do I have to tell you the difference between a "Prophesy" and a "Promise"?

the exit of Jesus would ensure a "comforter" is sent into the world thereafter at the appropriate time and place.that is why Jesus said it was "expedient" that he goes so the other comforter would come.otherwise,why would Jesus see his departure from earth as "expedient"?

further,we witness in many places in the bible where the holy spirit was present and "upon people" before and during Jesus' time on earth.so how can Jesus promise "another comforter" to come if that "comforter" is already there? therefore the christian interpretation that the "another comforter" refers to the holy spirit which was ever-present on earth before and during Jesus' time on earth,is perplexing if not plain dumb.the "another comforter" going by reasonable thinking,facts and history is no other than the greatest man humanity has ever experienced,MUHAMMAD (sa)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Moses was talking to the Isrealites,and the Prophet is to come from Isreal not Arab.
The prophesy is very clear that Jesus was the subject here.

I go to Church almost every Sunday,The sermon from my Rev.Father is so sweet,and believe me,the joy I derive on the day I go to Church and the days I didnt go cant be compared.

Did you know that some churches dont believe that hell is real?(ridiculous).They believe that sinners will be given a second chance on earth after death.
Catholics also believe in Porgatory where those with minimal sins go for attonement.
All these things are ideologies by groups and beliefs. .This race is an individual race as I run on my track,and you run on yours.but we have to be our brothers keeper.

My point is,know the God you serve,take the bible as your companion and guide,read it and pray for understanding,go to your church,listen to what the pastor says and take those that ministered more to you.

The essence of those images in Catholic churches are not for worship or any idolatory purpose.It is just a mare representation of the saints in statues and nothing more.A simple work of art as the statue of great men for remembrance.just that some people have exceeded the idea into something else.
