So, the CJN should not constitute a panel to hear the appeal filed by Atiku and Peter Obi or what? Will Atiku and Peter Obi wait till the US court rule on the matter before filing their appeal? Will the CJN constitute a panel when there is no appeal? Can any of the parties even introduce new evidence at this stage? Why are these losers so senseless like this?

Hopefully, Nairaland moderators will be smart enough not to move this fake news and unwarranted attack on the CJN to front page. Jackson Ude is a liar, fake news merchant and a wanted man in Nigeria. Dude lies for a living. This is another fake news from him.
Walahi they are senseless and useless.

mokwechineme:
All Nigerians need is sanity in the affairs of this country. Nigeria has the capacity - both human and natural resources to easily get this country to the levels of Brazil, Indonesia, South Korea etc but this is not the case. We ve had sustained failed leadership where leaders have continued to recycle themselves in continuous rape of the country.

I am a Peter Obi supporter. I followed his governorship administration in Anambra and knew what he did in Anambra and i believe if given the chance he will do more for Nigeria with better resources. Trying to compare Tinubu's achievement in Lagos and that of Obi in Anambra is simply being naive. Some said Tinubu met a monthly IGR of 600m and increased it to 5billion We all know that was the figures thay gave then which was never verifiable. Again Lagos before Tinubu even came in has the capacity as the commercial hub of Nigeria to have a monthly IGR of over 100billion even before 1999 Tinubu came in. I am not trying to state that Tinubu didnt achieve anything but judging from the capacity of Anambra and Lagos, Obi surppased him by a thousand mile..

Obi doesnt know me individually. His leadership if he succeed may first benefit a Tinubu supporter before me. However, i know it will surely go round.

Few things i ve observed abiut the Tinubu supporters are :

1 A lot of them are suffering from acute tribalism

2 Most are idlers who dont really want to do anything meaningful wuth their kives but praise-singing. These are set of people that includes graduate hoping for continuous handouts.

3 These are set of people who are never serious in life but waste their precious time trolling people online

Finally among other things, they are not that many as the obidients. In nairaland here, u have each of them controlling multiple accounts.

I am calling on the youths especially the reasonable Tinubu supporters, those who may be following Tinuhu on tribal leanings to jettison all these tribal warfare because it never serves our benefits but that of the ruling class. Tinubu is the president till the Supreme Court says otherwise. Buhari regime didnt favour the northern youths but the ruling class. Tinubu's regime also will toe the same line favouring the ruling class irrespective of ethnicism...
Read what u wrote. It does not make sense.

2nd October, 2022

By Uloka Chukwubuikem

Greetings, Mr. Peter Obi. I am writing you this letter with the utmost sincerity, and I urge you to accept it in good faith and address the issues raised herein. As a passionate Nigerian who is dissatisfied and angry, I have come to address you as one of those who stole our future and, rather than apologizing, you continue to lie, blackmail, and deceive innocent people in order to manipulate the future of the younger generations.

It’s disturbing to hear from you that you are one of those who will solve Nigeria’s problems, when in reality, you are no different from the buccaneers and bandits who have over the years buried us beneath the soil of bad governance, corruption, criminality, pretence and deceit.

It smacks of hypocrisy and delusion to present yourself as a messiah when you’re the devil’s advocate and a ring leader of oppression in our political arrangements.

First, I have taken the time to listen to many of your speeches in forums where you discuss your desire for due process and the rule of law if you are elected President of Nigeria. Because the mind is limited and quick to forget, I should remind you that when you were the Governor of Anambra State eight years ago, you brazenly disregarded the rule of law and committed so many atrocities that if you truly believed in the rule of law, you would have been imprisoned for your crimes.

Let me remind you that, as Governor, you destroyed the Upper Class Hotel at Onitsha, which was owned by an innocent man, whose only offence was not being a member of your political party. He was then falsely accused and arrested for rituals and the possession of human body parts that were planted in his hotel. Sir, you gave orders for his hotel to be demolished in less than 24 hours and for its owner, Chief Bonaventure Mokwe, to be detained and tortured by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) without a Court order or any form of fair hearing. Even when it was clear that Chief Mokwe was innocent, you took away his source of livelihood and inheritance and violated his and his workers’ human rights; to this day, you have not apologised to him and have instead used money to delay the court case he initiated. terrible.

Perhaps I should remind you of your illegal use of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Awkuzu, Anambra State, when you were Governor and gave orders to kill, maim, and use innocent people for human barbecue.

We all remember the Ezu and Omambala River massacres that you ordered when you gave outright orders to shoot at the sight of innocent Igbo youths, which was carried out by your man Friday, CSP James Nwafor; to this day, the memory still hurts the families of the over 500 young people murdered in cold blood without any kind of trials or fair hearings, but man-slaughter because you had the executive seal of office.

Sir, when in 2020 the young people of Nigeria protested for SARS to be banned nationwide and their activities over the years probed, you approached the court to obtain an order restricting the panel set up to investigate offenders with you inclusive, and you ensured that you were not investigated

It was under your watch that SARS became so notorious and turned the Awkuzu station into a depot for human parts transactions with CSP James Nwafor, your special security adviser and accomplice.

Sir, when in 2020 the young people of Nigeria protested for SARS to be banned nationwide and their activities over the years probed, you approached the court to obtain an order restricting the panel set up to investigate offenders with you inclusive, and you ensured that you were not investigated through multiple court orders because you knew your way to the courtroom to procure court orders, which you never did when you ordered for the illegal detention of Bonaventure Mokwe and staffers, nor when you ordered for the massacre of over five hundred Igbo youths and accused them of being Biafra agitators.

As Governor of Anambra State, you prohibited peaceful protests by Biafran separatists and instead designated MASSOB as a criminal gang, ensuring that they never carried out lawful actions in the state.

With all due respect and acknowledgement, you lack the justification to preach the rule of law because you violated many laws while Governor and never submitted to trials. You will not have the audacity to speak about upholding the rule of law in places where the rule of law works because you represent the oppressors.

Sir, I’ve also heard you talk about inclusive governance and transparency if elected president. It has become evident that you enjoy playing with the emotions and sensibilities of the vulnerable and little-informed. How can you promise something you don’t have and something opposite to your trait? Maybe I should remind you again that, as Governor, you rejected local government elections for the eight (cool years you were in power and instead used sole administrators, heads of service, and transition committees as local government chairmen. For the same eight (cool years, sir, you did not give a proper account of how much the local government allocations were and what they were used for.

In the same eight (cool years, you failed to make public the budgets of Anambra State and, till date, there are no records of how much Anambra had in budgets under your administration. It’s hypocrisy to tell us about transparency if you become President when you failed to be transparent as Governor.
On the same topic of transparency, sir, it remains a mystery how you became rich and wealthy in dollars because you have refused to disclose to the public your life trajectory while continuing to avoid answering the question of how you made your money. Your parents, like most of our parents, were common traders in Onitsha, Anambra State, with no other investments aside from the kiosk at Ose Okwodu. But you became a billionaire out of nowhere and have never explained how. Sir, you should not be the one discussing transparency in government or anywhere else.

You’ve been implicated in drug cartels numerous times, along with your eternal friend Benjamin Ubah, an ex-convict in the United States of America for drug offenses. Not only him, but your brother, Damian Obi, has been barred from entering the United States for the same drug-related offense. We have other names for those who are your allies and childhood friends. It’s on good record that a certain Gregory Obi was involved in this drug syndicate, which was you, but you quickly dropped the name Gregory from your documents and replaced it with Peter and Onwubuasi to alter your identity till date. Sir, if you are indeed sincere and transparent enough, kindly let the world know the source of your wealth and the over $50 million you have saved in offshore accounts as exposed by the Pandora papers.

Sir, it is unfortunate that you have chosen to represent yourself through false claims and identity while representing everything evil, criminal, and bad in leadership and oppression. You recklessly use your gift of poetry and philosophical knowledge to sway the vulnerable and gullible. Obviously, not the kind of leader Nigeria and Nigerians yearn for in 2023.

Sir, you have spoken eloquently about Nigeria’s transition from consumption to production, which you have stated will be your primary task if elected President. Sir, may I also remind you that, according to the records you provided, you have been a major importer of groceries into Nigeria for the past thirty (30) years, which has greatly contributed to the depreciation of the Naira and the fact that Nigeria has remained a consumer country. Sir, if you had any good intentions for Nigeria as you want us to believe in your many talk shows, why didn’t you in the last 30 years bring investors to set-up production companies for groceries, which is your major, just like Aliko Dangote, Innoson, and other business moguls who have been contributing to the nation’s productivity – do in their area of specialty? Sir, you were Governor for eight years and the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum as well. We did not see your reign in either capacity attract much productivity in Anambra State or any of the South East states, but at the same time, you feel very comfortable telling us that you will move Nigeria from consumption to production. It is terrible that, as a Christian, you derive joy in deceit and manipulating the vulnerable.

Sir, it will be interesting to learn how you, the son of a petty trader, became a billionaire in dollars, founded NEXT International, where you are still Chairman, and controlled many shares in Fidelity Bank, propelling you to become its youngest Chairman. Believe me, there are millions of young Nigerians who are intelligent, resourceful, and purpose-driven just like you, and who would love to hear your story and emulate your success. Don’t be the leader who can’t explain to their followers how they became great and hope to raise more great people from their following pool.

It absolutely reeks of hypocrisy that you have been going around talking about how to fix Nigeria, but your track record shows that you are only interested in your own success and not the success of others. Sir, how can you, as a former Governor and Chairman of a bank and a multinational corporation, not have people you mentored following you around? We know people in your cadre who still have those who worked with them while they were governors, but in your case, none of your commissioners have been heard of or seen in your team or around. Perhaps, after Peter Obi, there will not be another person who represents the values you claim. That is not a good leadership example.

Sir, please allow me to assert here that you are one of the major oppressors of Nigeria’s younger generation, and you continue to steal from us with great gusto. How do you save Nigeria when you symbolize our nation’s bane and impediments? You are a very corrupt, predatory, undemocratic, religiously extreme and fanatical Catholic who preferred and only recommended Catholics for appointed or elective positions as Governor. You’re a maniacal liar who represents everything oppressive.

Sir, you have yet to clear the air on the public story that you offered your man Friday, Mr. Victor Umeh, who was then National Chairman of the APGA but has since reunited with you in the Labour Party, a whopping sum of 600 million naira to disqualify Charles Soludo in 2013 because you dislike him and believe that him being your direct successor will expose the criminality in your administration. Sir, we also have on record how you used public properties to settle your personal friends and families, the chief amongst them being the concession of ANIDS vehicles procured with State Government funds to Benjamin Uba for personal ownership, which he has since renamed Ben-flo. Sir, it’s also on record how you diverted state resources and invested same into NEST International, owned by you, without the approval of the State Assembly or State Executives, and the two hundred and fifty million naira that was recovered from your special aide, Valentine Obienyem, by the Nigerian police en route Lagos State with your official vehicles, and you subsequently denied and abandoned the innocent Anambra taxpayers’ money to the police just to avoid being indicted.

Among the many promises you have made to innocent and vulnerable Nigerians who are emotionally nodding in agreement as a result of Muhammadu Buhari’s disastrous and clownish administration, which has plunged Nigeria, divided us along ethnic lines, and impoverished everyone, is that you will unify the country. Sir, Mondays in the South East have been under lock and key for over two years now, yet as a stakeholder vying for the country’s number one position and coming from the South East, where you served as Governor and Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, you have not been able to offer the best solution to halt the sit-at-home that has severely harmed the economic activities of that part of the country. How will you unite the country if you become President, when you can’t even solve a minor problem in your own backyard?

Sir, once again, you are more evil and fantastically corrupt than most politicians in the country because you have evolved into a warbler who continues to feed on the larder of the poor and vulnerable while devising a way to avoid having boils on your lips.

Sir, once again, you are more evil and fantastically corrupt than most politicians in the country because you have evolved into a warbler who continues to feed on the larder of the poor and vulnerable while devising a way to avoid having boils on your lips.

Sir, if you claim to have any integrity left in you, I would advise you to come out and confess your evil to the young Nigerians you have been deceiving all along, and to withdraw from the Presidential race because you do not deserve to be in the position you currently occupy through deception and blackmail.

While we have organised to ensure that 2023 goes smoothly and that we elect leaders who will serve us and our best interests rather than themselves and their cronies, it is critical that we seek out those who actually live out their beliefs, rather than settling for a predator like you, Sir.

Sir, I challenge you to tell the public the source of your wealth; how you made the billions you own and have saved in offshore accounts; and how you became a top shareholder in Fidelity Bank in your 30’s despite coming from a very poor family background. If you can conveniently explain this; I will be the very first to lead your campaign selflessly, but failure to do so tells a convincing story that you’re not what we seek in 2023 and possibly more corrupt than others.

As I’ve always said, you’ve done your best and lied your way out a lot, but the deception will no longer be tolerated. Come to your senses and take a bow. You are more corrupt and oppressive than people see.

For three days, Nigeria had no government. Then on August 1, 1966, Lt. Colonel Yakubu Jack Gowon, a lanky bachelor of 32, was announced as the new Head of State. Banjo was happy with the development. Gowon was his friend and old mate. He believed he would soon be out of prison. He was wrong. He petitioned Gowon for his freedom, but Gowon ignored him also. Instead, he was moved from Kirikiri Prison to a prison in Eastern Nigeria. When Ojukwu declared Eastern Nigeria as the independent Republic of Biafra, he ordered the release of Banjo and made him the General Officer Commanding a Biafran army division.

At the beginning of hostilities, the West and the Mid-West had tried to maintain some neutrality, not allowing troops to be deployed from their territory against Biafra. However, Ojukwu ordered a blitzkrieg against the Mid-West and within 24 hours almost the entire region was occupied. The invasion was led by Colonel Banjo.

The mission of Banjo however was beyond Mid-West. He was to lead the Biafran invasion of the West and Lagos and proclaim the independence of Western Nigeria from the Federation. The success of that invasion was to cause serious rift between Ojukwu and his old friend Banjo. Banjo objected seriously to the appointment of an Igbo man, Lt. Colonel Albert Okonkwo, as the Military Governor of the new Republic of Benin. Banjo felt a soldier of Mid-West origin should have been appointed. Ojukwu disagreed.

In his letter to Banjo, dated August 22, 1967, Ojukwu had made it clear that he intended to hold on to all the aces. Three points in the letter were especially disagreeable to Banjo:
1.You will have nothing to do with the Military Administrator of the Mid-West territory during your sojourn there prior to your move to the West.
2.During the period of Biafran’s troops presence in your territory, all political measures, statements or decrees, shall be subject to the approval, in writing by myself or on my authority.
3. Should our troops arrive and liberate Lagos, the government of the Republic of Biafra reserves the right to appoint a military administrator for the territory.

Ojukwu promised that Banjo would be proclaimed the military governor of the new Republic of Western Nigeria. Banjo believed that such a governor should be a partner and not a subordinate to the Head of State of Biafra. Ojukwu disagreed. Of course, Banjo would not concur that Ojukwu should appoint a military administrator for Lagos. He regarded Lagos as part of the West.

The disagreement between the two men was protracted and ultimately costly. Ojukwu insisted on having his way and in the end Colonel Okonkwo was made the Head of State of the new Republic of Benin. The delay in Benin allowed Gowon to rally Federal troops and Colonel Murtala Muhammed led the Second Division to confront Biafran forces at Ore, Ondo State. They were joined by troops from the Ibadan Garrison Command (IGC), led by Colonel Olusegun Obasanjo. The Biafrans were routed and the new Republic of Benin was quickly buried.

N250 Million Money Laundering Scam Involving Governor Peter Obi`s Contractor (Mr. Ejike Onwusogbulu) And Others: Comprehensive And Conclusive Investigations Are Necessary
We, in the International Society For Civil Liberties And The Rule Of Law, Intersociety, humbly write to Your Commission, concerning the named subject matter.

On Sunday, the 1st day of June, 2009, the police in Lagos State were alerted by yet-to-be-identified persons, concerning strange movement of vehicular, which reportedly belonged to the Government of Anambra State.

The informers had reportedly informed the police that the vehicular were in possession of caches of arms and ammunition, reportedly purchased by the Government of Anambra State, to be used against its opponents and the Anambra populace in the upcoming gubernatorial election in Anambra State . When the police struck, according to sources, they discovered huge sums of money in different naira denominations, which were reportedly stashed in some Ghana-Must-Go bags. The said vehicular were reportedly moving towards N0 7, Aerodrome Street, Apapa in Lagos State, which is thecorporate headquarters of companies belonging to Mr. Peter Obi and his associates. It was also discovered, as alleged, that one Ejike Onwusogbulu of Glitz Introvert Ltd. Lagos, who allegedly works for the Government of Anambra State, as a contractor, was the carrier of the said huge sums of money.

Since then, the following versions of the story have been in circulation:

1. That the sum of N250 million was involved and recovered.
2. That the sum of N2.5 Billion was involved.
3. That the sum of 25 million US Dollars was involved.
4. That those caches of arms and ammunition were found in the vehicular.
5. That the money found, was not up to any of the amount mentioned (government source). That the movement of such huge cash to the source mentioned, has become a routine.
7. That the money, recovered, was meant to be laundered through unconventional routes.
8. That the said money was to be kept at N0. 7, Aerodrome Street , Apapa, Lagos State , from where it would be stashed in ECOLAG bags, escorted to Cotounou in Benin Republic , flown to The Gambia via Slok Airliners, for its onward transfer to the Republic of Cape Verde , where it would be stashed away.

9. That Governor Peter Obi is a pretender, fraudulent, profligate, plunderer, corrupt and an abuser of office, who stashes Anambra Commonwealth in the Republic of Cape Verde .
10. That Mr. Valentine Obienyem, Governor Obi`s Special Assistant on Media Matters and some relatives and close associates of Mr. Peter Obi, were in company of Mr. Ejike Onwusogbulu, in the said vehicles, when they were caught.11. That the ownership of the said monies, which is a looted fund, as alleged, is between Mr. Peter Obi and his media aide, Mr. Val. Obienyem.
12. That the money so recovered, is one of the numerous dirty and illegal trans- State (Anambra) transactions, carried out by Mr. Peter Obi and his cronies, which go unreported.
13. That the money so recovered was derived from genuine business transactions between Mr. Ejike Onwusogbulu, his Glitz Introvert Limited and the Government of Anambra State.
14. That the money so recovered, was meant, specifically, for the purchase of brand new and Belgium automobiles for the Government of Anambra State.
15. That the money was not to be laundered, but it was received from cash payments made by the Government of Anambra State to the said contractor last weekend.
16. That the automobile dealers, especially those operating from wharfs, sell cheaper and supply high grades, on cash-and-cash basis.

Among these versions, what baffles the informed mostly is the carriage of the huge cash, and on a Sunday. Though, a source claimed that it was to be used in the following day (Monday). Some critics have also questioned the rationale behind Governor Peter Obi`s curious visit on Sunday (01/06/09) to his Apapa office, on the heels of the incident. Though, a source, again, claimed that his visit was prompted by a weighty allegation that caches of arms and ammunition were found in his passive convoy in Lagos .

PoliticsSaint’ Peter Obi: Unfurling A Drug Peddler And His Illicit Dealings by Judgementa1(op): 6:07pm On Sep 09, 2023
Peter Gregory Obi, the defeated Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party is a politician who claims to be without blemish.

He rode on the crest of been a ‘Saint’ to deceive a group of violent followers called the ‘Obidients’ who voted for him during the February 25th, 2023, Presidential Election.

Sadly, Obi isn’t what he portrayed himself to be as many of his kinsmen attested to the fact that Obi has been a silent drug dealer beginning from his days as an undergraduate at University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Enugu State.

It was gathered that he hardly attended lectures and only managed to graduate with a third class in Philosophy after spending 12 years in the University.

His brother in-law who incidentally is one of the hirelings used by him for his nefarious drug trafficking business is currently languishing in jail in far away London.

This is the major cause of strain between Obi and his in-laws, having neglected him at the time of his travails despite working for him in carrying out his nefarious drug deals.
It is on record that his closeness to Dubem Obazie is because Dubem had served jail term for drug trafficking because of Obi.

Dubem had served the jail term having carried a drug deal for Obi, which turned awkward, leading to him been caught and sentenced to jail.

The numerous drug deals of Obi brought to fore the call for explanation on what led to the death of his father which is been hidden from the public.

The Ndi Anambra had challenged Obi to explain the circumstances surrounding his father’s death which remains his best kept secret.

Before then, it was gathered that Obi’s father was drowned to death by Obi’s associates in the drug trade whom he short-changed in a business deal prompting the mafias to kill the old man whom they drowned bounded hands and feet with bricks round his neck.

Saint’ Obi is known to be a corrupt person right from the Military dispensation, it was alleged that Obi had a relationship with former Military Administrator, Governor Ibim Princewill and Col Earnest Kizito Attah of Cross River State, he was used as a conduit to fleece Cross River State government thus contributing to the under development of the state.

Also, during his reign as the Governor of Anambra State, a whopping win of N250 Million was said to be found in the possession of his aides, who couldn’t account for the money with the case been swept under the carpet by Obi.

Obi is said to have failed to produce the contractor and publish the contractual agreement that stipulates that this very contractor will be paid in cash and also a reference to any other known precedents. Not even the famous late Barkin Zuwo of Kano State paid contractors in cash.

His brother, Ndibe Obi, Ejuke Onwusogbulu and Chidi Agbapu, a Lagos State based Stock Broker were been used by Obi as a conduit pipe to launder Anambra State money, leaving the State os shambles as the youths remained unemployed.

A Woman who claimed anonymity had confessed that Obi was behind an undisclosed drug trafficking ring.

It would be recalled that Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has questioned the much touted integrity of former Anambra state Governor and 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, over his alleged involvement in drug related deals in Malaysia.

A former Niger Delta militant, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, also alleged that Obi is a drug baron that belongs to a cartel.

In his words, “ You people are accusing other people. The main drug baron is Peter Obi. Who is Peter Obi? A criminal; a drug baron. He was accused publicly, he could not defend himself.

“In fact, everybody supporting Peter Obi must be a Pablo Escobar. If not, you cannot be supporting an Escobar to become our president.”
