Which votes, do we vote in South East(except in Anambra State election that holds separately)

Elections are always written and allocated! The Governors know this. Any Government At the centre will always rig the election, not even talking of Governors agreeing with the APC politicians in the South East.

Are you sure you are on ground?

Has Ndigbo voted against any Party in power in any Presidential election since 1979?

2019 will teach a political lesson. Keep Atikulooting with your ipob colleagues.. grin

Keep quiet.you know nothing.

peter obi that don't have a political relationship out of his state is the right choice of Atiku that needs to do thorough marketing of himself to convince Nigeria that he has change from his past manipulative life

having said that Atiku/soludo can still pull a weight, why? because he was well known all over Nigeria. even layman knew he was Fmr CBN governor and his performance then made him popular even though that won't still make Atiku win but he will pull political wave in the election
than peter obi combo

but for obi that's not well known, aside from awards that has no meaning to majority of people that will vote in North is here displaying on social media

Atiku was expected to carry people along, consult all other PDP stakeholders in all political zones. on the normal day, stakeholders suggested VP for all political parties presidential aspirant even in the past regime of PDP it was like that

people like wike was sidelined posterior to the election, do you see wike making any speech after congratulating Atiku? many grievances is happening in PDP and some people are chanting atikulating grin

election is 4 months and supremacy tussle is happening in the opposition party that want to wrestle power from a powerful incumbency that's controlling more than 20 States out of 36 states grin
Atiku should go and gather the northern votrs.leave the Se for us.we will decide and we choose Obi.

You are lying.I am from Anambra state. We support Peter Obi.

Gullible senseless big fool like u!! cheesy

SW on standby?, they will stand forever..

Afenifere, Umahi, Yakassai, others react *Ohaneze to court Arewa youths, Middle Belt,Yoruba

The choice of a former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi as the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was generally described as a deft move by a cross-section ofNigerians. His emergence as the running mate to the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku didn’t come as a surprise as his name had prominently featured among those being considered for the position.

Saturday Vanguard learned that Atiku met with Obi in his Asokoro residence after Jamaat prayers yesterday in Abuja. A statement by the Director General of Atiku Campaign Organisation, Otunba Gbenga Daniel said the former governor was mainly chosen because of his vast knowledge of global and local economics. Other reasons adduced were his youthfulness and experience in the management of people and resources.

However, most people, who spoke to Saturday Vanguard on the development were emphatic that Obi’s presence would add value to Atiku’s prospects. Those who reacted include Ebonyi State governor, Mr. Dave Umahi; Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwachaa; former governor of Anambra State, Chief Chukwuemeka Ezeife; National Vice Chairman, South, of the PDP, Mr. Eddy Olafeso; and Spokesperson of pan-Yoruba sociopolitical organisation, Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin. Others are former Minister of Aviation in the First Republic, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi; ex-Adviser to former President Shehu Shagari, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai; Ohaneze Youths; a member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Uzo Azubuike; former member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Victor Ogene; former governorship candidate in Anambra State, Mr. Oseloka Obaze; and Chairman, Niger State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Tanko Beji.

(It’s a masterstroke—Gov Umahi Umahi ******** ********* ********** ********** ) tongue tongue tongue

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Uzor described the choice of Obi as a masterstroke, adding that it had all the things that would make Nigeria work again. He described Obi as a consummate administrator, who showed class in leadership as a two-term governor. Umahi further maintained that Atiku and Obi would bring ingenuity and wealth of experience to bear when they become President and Vice President of Nigeria next year.

Peter is a great choice.—Ezeife

Ezeife described the choice of Obi as great, adding that he was not wasteful in the management of resources while serving as governor. He said: “Peter is a great choice. He brings his business intelligence into governance. He is not corrupt and as a governor, he was not wasteful. I must say that I am very happy.’’ On his part, Olafeso said: “As a National Vice Chairman of the party, I hail the decision to pick Peter Obi as running mate to our presidential candidate. The decision to pick him is based on his outstanding performance as governor of Anambra State. He is a successful businessman and we expect his experience to translate into good governance for our nation.’’

Atiku/ Obi ticket a good one—Yakassai

An elder statesman, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai said: “ It was expected all along that the slot of the Vice President should go to the South East for the PDP as APC has chosen the South West. What is not ascertained is whether the choice of Peter Obi is the collective choice of the majority of the people of the South East. Atiku Abubakar/ Peter Obi ticket is a very good one. Atiku Abubakar is a Muslim from the North while Peter Obi is a Christian from the South just as Muhammadu Buhari is a Muslim from the North and Yemi Osinbajo is a Christian from the South. Everything is balanced.”

This is Atiku’s time—Amaechi

Reacting, Amaechi, said: “Peter Obi is an experienced politician, administrator, and businessman. Obi and Atiku are widely exposed. Nigeria needs an enlightened government that will manage our economy very well. This is Atiku’s time to reign and with Peter Obi, I think it is a good team. I don’t know how the South West will take it but I want to advice the APC against rigging the elections. The things I saw in Ekiti and Osun states were not elections.”

Atiku/Obi should be committed to restructuring—Afenire

Odumakin stated thus: “All we are concerned about at this stage is that they should be committed to the restructuring of Nigeria. If it is true that he has picked Peter Obi as his running mate, he should join him to work out a clear-cut programme on restructuring and ensure that he remains steadfast to that because restructuring is the main issue that will determine the next election. ” A former House of Representatives member, Mr. Victor Ogene, said:’’The name, Peter Obi, has over the last decade come to represent frugality in public finance, sobriety, and probity in spending, and excellence in public office. His choice, therefore, as vice presidential candidate of the PDP, beyond representing a positive move towards integrating the Igbo into the top leadership strata of the nation is apt. “As a successful two-time governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi comes fully ready for the top position he has been chosen for. ” Azubuike said: “It is a welcome development. It shows that Atiku and indeed PDP have been positioned to redress the injustice and grave marginalisation that Igbo have suffered in the hands of the current administration. “It shows that Atiku is focused on reuniting and redefining Nigeria as one entity where all sections of the country will have a sense of belonging and active participation in governance. “Of course, Peter Obi is experienced, quite knowledgeable, exposed and humble.

He brought sustainable socioeconomic development to Anambra State. I am sure he will bring that experience to bear.’’

It’ll unite Nigerians—

Ekweremadu’s aide An aide of the Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, who didn’t want his name in print said he believed the choice of Peter Obi would strengthen the relationship between the North East, the North Central, the North West, South South, and South East. He said: “The Igbo are spread across Nigeria. In the North, some politicians who used to be with Buhari have left him.

For instance, someone like Buba Galadima has left him. The international community has also seen the real Buhari and is not impressed with him. I am confident the South East and the South South will go for Atiku Abubakar/Peter Obi presidency. The South West people are wise voters and they know the right thing to do.”

A former presidential aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief Charles Udeogaranya said: “Peter Obi as a running mate in the political calculation is expected to deliver the entire South East to the PDP. He is also expected to mobilise the entire Southern region for PDP while Atiku Abubakar should mobilise the North. Peter Obi will give Atiku Abubakar the required 25 percent to win the presidency.” Obaze said: “His Excellency, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has made the right choice in picking Peter Obi as his running make.” Atiku has just the exhibited the ability to make hard-headed decision required of purposeful leaders.”

Speaking on the matter, Ohaneze Youth Council said: “We are calling on Igbo youths to ensure that the duo of Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi make it to Aso Rock in 2019 as President and Vice President. We will reach out to Arewa youths, Ijaw, Middle Belt, Ibibio, Yoruba youths under the Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Youth OrganiSations for the success of Atiku and Peter Obi.’’

See them, laughing at the Nigger Area

Whatever, Atiku is the man of the moment.
The election is between Atiku and buhari.
The winner must be one of the two,and i choose Atiku.
In most countries of the world, even in advanced and working democracies, there are usually two top very strong political parties the winner must emerge from nationally. It is what it is.Eg Trump was the better of the two in the US for the Americans.......
Voting for smaller parties at national level amounts to waste of votes.

Politics / Re: Misconception About Voting Atiku/obi Candidature by julietm123: 7:29am On Oct 13, 2018
WhyMoD:
The misconception here is obvious..

Many Yorubas believe that Nigerians voting for Atiku and Obi is a vote for the Igbos? Really? How?

It's a vote for the betterment of Nigeria.
If APC gives Osibanjo ticket today and kicks Buhari away, many Igbos would go with Osibanjo instead..

Igbos want a society that works. And Buhari is clearly not offering that.

Atiku would still be kicked out if after one term he fails jus like Buhari.

Igbos would have still chosen Atiku over Buhari even if he had chosen a Yoruba man. Go to facebook Igbo pages and see Igbos suggestions. They're NOI, Obi, Adesina of AfDB

So why are many Yorubas greedy and believe Nigeria revolves around them?
So you'd rather see a non-working Nigeria rather than supporting and Igbo who has what it takes to make it work?
Igbos certainly do not share this spirit.

We've supported Yorubas and Hausas.
We clearly believe Buhari is not working, of course we believe Osibanjo has what it takes.

Igbos are supporting Atiku not Obi.. of course we're happy Obi was chosen not jus because he is Igbo but cos he has proven his worth as a governor in anambra..

Ask Anambra people or even other people who live in anambra and they'll tell you why we should give Nigeria this chance..

Go to YouTube and watch The Platform/Peter Obi.. every issue he raised there is real life. Anybody from anambra can testify

Today Anambra state is the most financially stable state in Nigeria it's all Obi's prudent and frugal management..
According to UN.. anambra state is the first and only state to reach the MDGs in Nigeria.. it's all thanks to Obi
As untill 2015.. Anambra state had the best road networks in Nigeria.. it's Obi..

While other states were busy borrowing and owing salaries, Obi saved over 155million USD and about 70billion naira for the future of Anambra..yet he did not owe any body..
And this is why while other states are not paying salaries, Anambra state was increasing workers salaries. Go and check..

Do I need to tell any body how Anambra state is coming first in weac and neco back to back? Well it started in 2011 after Obi handed over the Schools to the missionaries and made sure the funds where handed directly to them. Refused to give it to ministries because he noticed there were many tollgates the money would pass before getting to be actual work and there were better checks and balances in the missionaries management of the schools..

He made so many reforms that reduced the cost of governance in Anambra

Don't you think a man like this is what Nigeria deserve at this dire moment?

Do u think Igbos would support people like Okorocha even if he get the ticket to become president? No..not because of his party, we'd support Ngige and Ogbonnaya Onu but not Okorocha.. they're all APC..

So stop this greed and place national interest over regional interest. Yes you should fight for regional interest but not at the detriment of the whole welfare of the nation..

We all have a collective interest, kick Buhari home. If APC gives ticket to Fashola or Osibanjo then we can talk..

Peace
Abeg, speak for yourself and not igbos.
Atiku has picked his Vp ,and he chose wisely.
Everyone has one vote.Vote your choice and stop all these sweet talk.
