I followed Beatrice's instruction and didn't get lost this time. The table is already set up, just without the fork and knife....well it's because I have them.
"What took you so long?", Tiara asked tired with a bit of concern in her tone.
"I got lost", I answered.
"Damn it",Josh cursed. And here I was thinking I'd get to eat your share.
I stuck my tongue out at me and began placing the cutlery accordingly.
Seconds later, a frustrated Mr Njoku and a grinning Victor come out to join us. I'm sitting in between Femi and Josh with Vic always kicking my leg under the table thinking it's Josh because he wants to switch seats with him. I look around and feel very glad at how much I've evolved from the cold uptight Fola to having really close friends like these and a very sweet but annoying boyfriend......yes we're still a couple I just want him to suffer small but I can't break up with him never, not while he still has my heart...but he doesn't know this and I won't tell him, not yet.
Everyone is chatting happily even Dibz and his dad share a few thoughts here and there on few instances.
The meat is so good and I want more but we are nine people here so I just indulge myself in the chocolate cake and at some point Dibz comes to join me for his third round. Yeah, he loves cake alot but I have a feeling it's not the cake his coming for this time.,,let's find out.
"Hi", he says standing next to me as I slice another piece into my plate.
"Hey", I reply not taking my eyes off the cake.
At that point I put the piece into my mouth and moan slightly as the taste blows my taste buds senseless.
"Sweet", Dibz whispers as he stared at my lips dazed.
"What?"...sweet what?",I asked.
"Uhm uhm...swe- sweet, I mean the cake is really sweet",he replies stuttering.
Awwww my baby is now feeling shy talking to me? Maybe I've been too hard on him, I think he's learnt his lesson that he should never treat me like that again. He turns to go ,even leaving his plate behind and that's when I reach out to him, I hold his hand as he walks past me.
"Uhm how have you been?", I ask him.
His eyes soften at my question and he just pulls me in for a hug instead of replying and I don't bother at all, this is a better reply tho.
" I miss you babe, so much",he whispers in my ear with his lips slightly brushing my ears. The bastard, he knows this affects me so bad and that's why he's doing it. I tremble a bit and shut my eyes trying hard not let the pleasure show on me.
"Yh I know you do",I reply. "You just called me sweet or was it my lips?",I ask breaking the hug to see his reaction.
He rolls his eyes and pulls me back in. "Of course you heard you pretender", he says.
"I'm sorry babe,i really am', he apologizes.
"It's OK , I'm over it, actually I was over it since but I just wanted you to suffer abit but I ended up suffering too cus I was away from you and thing were just bland and and....", I was cut off from my ramblings as he softly kissed me. Oh how I've missed this, he tries to break the kiss but I moan and pull him in more, savouring every minute. Is just me or does his lips taste sweeter now... it's the cake , it must be the cake.
