This murderous herdsmen will never go free. Three (3) men were killed by them in my village (Oganenigu village in Dekina local govt of Kogi State) 2 days ago and a fourth person wounded seriously. Since then most of the villagers have sought refuge elsewhere. Knowing fully well the amount of damage they have caused, they only move their families and animals in the middle of the night now, nobody sees them in the day time. A Fulani man was also caught with a coffin loaded with weapons. Whatever happens, we will never ever be refugees in our lands, the Fulani men must find a permanent place of residence back in their northern enclaves. We can no longer entertain them here. We are no longer interested in their nono drinks, if it means not eating cattle meat we will manage. The spirit of our brothers departed will not rest until their killers are brought to justice.

I have never heard any of my people bear Jemigbola as a name before. However, if pronounced to sound like Igala the name means 'allow me hear word' in pidgin english. Cant find a better way to put it in english. Anybody Igala may bear that name but i must confess, that name is not popular and even after living most of my life in Igala land i have never heard that name before. I guess i am late to this thread.

Igala names and Yoruba names do not share any similarities even though the two languages are related. Instead we share names with Idoma people.

I am not an Igbo person but i disagree with Okorocha here. Its the other way round, everybody hates the Igbos. The conference, tentatively set for December 7, 2015, according to the Presidency, will involve stakeholders from the government, private sector and international partners.

It is expected that the North East Marshall Plan (NEMAP), which will be designed to tackle the immediate and long term strategies for the restoration of the broken human and infrastructure of the North East, will gulp over N200 billion.

It is noteworthy that the nation is preparing, well ahead of time, to help its embattled citizens wracked by violent insurgency which has claimed nearly 20,000 lives and displaced over two million people, to their feet as quickly as possible, rather than leaving them to their own devices when, hopefully, the enemy is defeated.

We, however, hope that a thorough job is done in ending the insurgency first before rushing to award contracts. The insurgents must be decisively flushed out and prevented from infiltrating the law abiding populace or else the returning internally displaced persons will not have the protection they need to settle down and rebuild their lives.

It does not make sense for people to go back to their communities only to live in fear of suicide bombings and hit-and-run attacks.

To keep the insurgents at bay, an effective strategy for maintaining vigilance and communal partnership with the security agencies must be put in place. We must banish the notion that only the law enforcement agencies can protect us from insurgents. Everybody has a role to play. Perhaps, it is time to give the much talked about idea of community policing a chance. No one can police a community more than members of that community.

While we wait for the laws to be amended to accommodate community policing, we suggest that the existing “Civilian JTF” networks, which have usefully partnered with the troops in the North East campaigns, should be strengthened.

The reconstruction efforts should focus mainly on restoring broken socio-economic amenities such as schools, healthcare facilities, markets, motor parks and road networks. Particular attention should be given to farmers and small-scale businesses to rejuvenate economic activities.

The people must be kept gainfully employed to avoid an upsurge of violent crimes which usually come at the end of most wars and conflicts.

The conference to rebuild the North East should be a comprehensive package to ensure that insurgency never comes back, while the people victimised by the conflict are fully reactivated

Kogi workers are not complaining because they do no want their salaries to be used as campaign funds by the incumbent governor. In fact, that is the reason the money has not been released. I have it from a good source that the governor only requested for such a huge sum as bail out so he could embezzle everything. In a few months time Wada will leave and kogi indegenes will at least have some reprieve from the lesser of the two demon contestants we have.

The perfect will of God does not cover evil of any sort. He is full of light and not darkness at all. No act of His involves stealing, killing or destroying.

are u talking about the same God of the old testament? The God that punished the children of Israel so many times? The God that destroyed Sodom and Gomorah, the one who created hell? The God that is revealed in the old testament? Better start reading your bible for yourself and listen less to your pastor who chooses passages that suit his sermon. Our God is a mysterious one. No matter what we may say as Christians, the God that most modern Christians are not proud of because of the Old Testament is still the God of the New Testament. Bros, read your new testament well. Jesus Christ prophecied that Peter will deny him three (3) times. Was that prophecy averted? Going by your logic even God can be called a prophet of doom for all his prophecies of destruction in the old testament which all came to pass.

BTW, i have never heard people complain about other "prophecies of doom" in the bible that came to pass. Why didnt you guys call Noah in the bible a prophet of doom?
