How will they aim for South Africa level when their export has been at 5 billion for the past 6 years ? Danielnino00: That guy is just so stupid.. ..Kenya doesn't produce jack shit...it's all tea, flower and coffee..
And the best parts of their Nairobi is just the CBD areas ..
Lagos economy being bigger than Kenya is no hoax.. Lagos mainland has a lot of industrial estates scattered all over, e.g Dopemu,Isolo,Ileshamaje,Amuwo Odofin,Oregun, etc not to mention the big markets and the ICT hubs at Yaba.. The island houses a lot of companies and banks HQ not to mention the numerous real estates scattered over there... When you add the suburbs of Epe,Ikorodu,Badagry and Ibeju Lekki where agriculture is a thing, then you are looking at the 5th biggest economy in Africa
That RVP fool says Kenya is aiming for South Africa level... . They should catch up with Lagos first. |

The Ugandans are as stupid as the Kenyans I wonder what came into their head We felt sorry for the Ugandans so we wanted to soften the grounds for them a bit Danielnino00: The Ugandans made a big mistake . .
Meanwhile, Ghana has joined the battle..
Nigeria just can't have a Twitter beef with other countries without Ghana joining in |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 4:06pm On May 03, 2020 |
rvp20182: Yes - but CBK regulates - very little - compared to what they do to banking transactions. They are not a bank. the MFS license is why CBK have all transaction data on the service and became a supervisory authority on the service |

rvp20182: So Telcos - MTN Ghana - has a banking license? they have a mobile financial service license and likewise Safaricom |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 4:00pm On May 03, 2020 |
rvp20182: That is Ghana regulatory regime. Kenya is different. And mobile money is so matured and advanced it all over. that is Kenya regulatory regime as well Safaricom was granted mobile financial service license by CBK dumb dumb go and learn Hence their financial services are regulated by CBK |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:58pm On May 03, 2020 |
Telcos have received licenses to carry out mobile financial services Hence their banking status. Chinese buy their gold from small scale miners. rvp20182: Just like the Chinese gangs also make money from your gold. And IMF runs your country. Telcos are not banks. But who knows how hobbits does their regulation.
If Telcos pay interest - then they have to invest your deposit - leading to a mess.
In kenya - all the M-pesa interest - are put in an escrow account - and donated - to build stuff like M-pesa academy. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:55pm On May 03, 2020 |
let me tell you something you dont know Mobile money is a payment system which passes through the central bank payment tracking system All transactions go through them. The telcos have receive licenses to carry out mobile financial services so all data are accounted for by CBK rvp20182: Nope. Read here. One Kenya bank - Equity Bank - bought a telcom license - where they do mobile money - and they are do a lot of transactions - but CA doesn't count - because they don't regulate banks.
Central Bank of kenya has no where of knowing what goes on in a TELCOM company. They have no data.
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has dropped Equitel from the list of mobile money services it regulates, declaring it a banking product.
In the latest quarterly report, Equitel was excluded from the telecommunications sector performance data in what resulted in a decrease in the number of mobile money subscriptions.
“The Authority in the July-September 2019 statistics has revised its data on mobile money services, with the exclusion of data on Equitel Money, which is a mobile banking service as opposed to a mobile wallet service offered by telecommunications service providers,” CA said in the report. https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/corporate/companies/CA-removes-Equitel-from-mobile-money-category/4003102-5436860-6g3977z/index.html |

rvp20182: But Ecobank is making money off you slowpoke. Bank of Ghana should MOMO their t-bill like Kenya has done - giving Ghanian the first chance to own Tbill without intermediary making money off them. All you need to do is COPY-PASTE. We are the leader..
The primary market is where securities are created, while the secondary market is where those securities are traded by investors EcoBank is a beneficiary just like all intermediaries which include Telcos that sell Government Tbills You think the telcos are not making money, serving as intermediaries ? Dumb dumb Here, Telcos pay us interest on our mobile money transactions as held in accounts |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:48pm On May 03, 2020 |
Kenyans are really dumb vaxx: what an idiot. Eco bank or any mobile network are just intermediaries. once you buy thru them , you are directly buying from government. government those not have open market where bills are sell . what they used are institutions. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:48pm On May 03, 2020 |
rvp20182: It's 1.7 trillion - that is nearly 16.8 or something close billion dollars. And this excludes mobile money transaction by banks. That is Central Bank of Kenya remit. Central Bank of Kenya do not get telecom data. Different regulator. CBK record banking data which mobile money is classified as banking service all data are with them total 4 quarter transaction is 38.5 billion argue with your central bank |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:45pm On May 03, 2020 |
rvp20182: MOMO - strictly Mobile Payment in Kenya - 17B dollars a Quarter. P2P alone is 6B dollars per Quarter. Millions of transactions were also performed over the period that was valued at Ksh 1.7 trillion. The CA says that person to person transfers were valued at Ksh 650.0 billion. too much noise all transaction on the mobile money platform adds up to 38 billion dollars per annum in 2019 now go back and make more money to carry out more valuable transactions |

rvp20182: Tbill - I checked. look like a secondary market kinda thing with EcoBank. Kenya CBK actually offers Mobile Money Tbills. Get the difference. Kenya is SO FAR AHEAD - and you're so BEHIND. To use Ghanian English..You're lagging - LACKING BEHIND. get to do 57 billion dollars of Mobile money transaction and we will be at 100 billion dollars So, your economy will keep playing catch up |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by Just30: 3:18pm On May 03, 2020 |
rvp20182: Mobile Money in Kenya is tracked by CA - Communication Authority - because it's under telecommunications.
Mobile Money offered by Banks - for example, Equity - have their own telecom - Equitel - are tracked by Central Bank. All kenyan banks have mobile money channels - that get tracked by Central Bank of Kenya. All banking information is held by CBK stop lying CA only deal with telcom data hence why you wont see CA with mobile money data |
