Politics / Re: Babajide Sanwo-olu: My Encounter With The Biggest Change Lagos Has Ever Seen. by justfash50: 6:06am On Oct 31, 2018
DripDrop:
This is the biggest piece of bullsh!t i ever read dumped on Nairaland.

The writing is elementary, devoid of facts and does not hide the OPs bias. And it is easy to see that the writer is a paid publicist (who just did a bad job).
Also, there is nothing in this essay to show this 'Biggest Change' Sanwo Olu, or anything that shows he will be a better governor than Ambode or Agbaje. What we see is just juvenile lofty praises, speaking of what he wore, 'he took a sit' (I expected him to kneel down) and he 'looks like efiko'... whats that?

OP is this what you were paid for?
What about his plans? Policies? New strategies for Lagos? Job creation, education, waste management, Tax relief, plans for SMEs, infrastructure, public health? What about all that? Wouldn't conversations on that be a better PR for him? What was the substance of your conversation with him, or was there nothing smart discussed?

You reeled out Sanwo Olu's Resume, but silent about Agbaje's pedigree. You say Agbaje disappears and is usually silent, but who heard of Sanwo Olu before now? Did you reach out to Jimi Agbaje for a meeting as well? You say Sanwo Olu can speak English well, I didn't know Jimi Agbaje spoke Spanish.
You claimed you wanted to moderate a debate between both Agbaje and Sanwo Olu, but you are obviously biased.

So you come up here, set up a profile and dump a lengthy piece of sh!t that does not live up to the catchy title, and you think Nairaland is the right place to dump your pedestrian pseudo-Journalism? What, you think Nairaland is for fools who cant see through trash?

This is awful!

You need to pay Sanwo Olu his change, because you haven't done your job.

Sometimes we just disparage people's efforts without having an inkling of what they went through in providing us facts about a burning issue.

Am happy a journalist got up close to relay information as regards the personality of the man of the MOMENT.

Wait till you meet babajide sanwoolu at the debate, a lot you will swallow your sentiments and pride.

Our incoming Governor was part of those that formulate and implement high level documents ( Lagos master plan) which translates to the progress and development witnessed in the state.

Politics / Re: Corruption In Nigeria - What Are Your Suggested Solutions by justfash50: 8:29pm On Oct 27, 2018
@op

Corruption is more aggravated at the federal and state level, so any solutions should address these core areas badly affected.

In addressing corruption in the country, we need to take it from the root first by redistributing our resources I.e with equity and equality.. We need to place every public servant on minimum wage I.e core civil servants, politicians etc, their allowance may slightly differ ; this action will reduce the influence, power and imbalance that kowtow many to amass wealth out of what they see as a loose system that enrich only the few.

Secondly, Strengthen the institutions to entrench Corporate good Governance across 3 arms of Government and MDA's. In strengthening, let them embark on a strategic reforms and ensure implementation is successfully carried out.

Thirdly, set up legal framework to expedite and address corruption cases. I support very stiff penalties for offenders here.

Fourthly, our law enforcement agencies should be strengthened with high tech tools in busting corruption.

Lastly, Regional Governance is the best, let all states fend for themselves and reduce unnecessary wastage at the center. Federal government should receive not more than 10% from the sharing formula.

Seriously, people fail to use their thinking cap before responding to issues.

Fashola set KPi to measure the progress made on power generation, transmission and distribution to date along with amount spent so far.

He also critic the administration a bit by pointing to areas they under perform and issues that still rear its heads.

He has challenged the PDP Administration of 16 years with facts and figures...........why throwing jabs without disproving the analysis on the table.

Some people way of thinking sha.....nawa

Seriously, wait till you vote in PDP come 2019, then we will understand the trajectory our country will attain in terms of corruption.

The NASS has always and will always be our stumble block to achieving economic development, property eradication etc in the country based on selfish and irrelevant bills they passed. 90% private bills .............we are .......

I think for coming out to say this, my vote is ready for any opposition party

This is what should make front page. Let Nigerians know that a Government not undertaking Strategic Planning will deny its state of numerous Programmes and Project that will impact the lives of the masses.

It is a clarion call to Nigerians to hold their States accountable and demand such roadmap / blueprints in achieving their vision.

We keep telling them that the progress and development witnessed in Lagos state over the years is no fluke and nothing should stop the continuation of our dear Lagos project.

We will start selling various models from the blueprint/ roadmap to States now. Lagos state is leaving the nation behind to compete with the best cities in Africa and be ranked amongst the best cities in the world.

No more winning streak again, the goal now is to take Lagos to greater height.

Politics / Re: List Of Minimum Wages By Countries Of The World. by justfash50: 10:01am On Sep 28, 2018
First of all... Look for the revenue to gdp of this countries compare that to ours

Wage bill of the federal government is
166bn a month
If minimum wage is increased to 36k we would have
332bn a month

How much do federal government get every month

Should we increase tax to pay more workers while our infastructure waste?

You are the enemy of the state. Go back and rethink on the present for the remuneration of law makers in the country before you put down the meagre salaries being paid since 2011.

Mind you, this agitation by workers is legitimate and will go on until our demands are met.

The GDP you mention is not a factor when law makers salaries is being reviewed upwards.

Sometimes our education is a curse when it failed to emancipate us from wickedness and hatred for our fellow human beings.

Researching and investigating would have done us a great good but alas we are quick to disparage and called the professor unprintable names, just because his views does not align with yours.
Politics / Re: Increased Minimum Wage Is Not The Solution To Nigeria's Problems by justfash50: 5:26am On Sep 26, 2018
Who told you increase in the minimum wage will shoot up the prices of goods and services in the country?

This myth ochaestrated by anti civil servants to the minds of the public will not be accepted in this modern age.

Please go back and read your economics again.

At all.
My two experience with GIGM about a month ago was horrifying to be subtle but they apologies anyway.

My advice to their Management if they get to see this is to strengthen their rescue operations during this quater. The Ore road is arguably the most dangerous road along that axis. We were almost robbed at gun point through GIGM for like an hour, no vehicle ply the road, we all ran into the bush around.

The authorities should secure that Ore road and all these transport & logistic company should work with security agencies on such occurrence.

@ Gazzuzz and radautos

I have gone through the thread from the beginning to the end and am impressed with the level of discuss, but would like both of you give more details as regards your diagnosis .

I have gained immensely from the discussion so far and I believe the discuss will be put into proper perspective if a case study of this my Toyota Rav 4 of year 2006 is tabled on this platform for your analysis, based on your diagnosis of repair or rebuild.

The rav 4 has misfired in all its cylinders and it's gasket , pistons has worn out, timing chain issues, cracks due to over heating on the engine, engine oil noticed on plugs etc.

From the above, what would you Gazzuzz and radautos analyze as the cost implications for repairs or replace engine or rebuild respectively.

Sometimes to us as end users we are confused with your diagnosis especially when it is an engine issue. Your expertise insight is required here on the rav 4 2006 and current cost implications of repairs or replacement / rebuild is sought.

Thank you as you take your time to run me through what is required in getting the my Rav 4 back on the road again.
