Sanwoolu's programme has a roadmap that will address issues from short ( low hanging), medium to long term for the period of his administration. It is a solution driven approach that takes notes of all the activities of the state Government.

Governance is not about abstractions alone but more about grounded actions which his team have worked on in the last months to take a bold step towards occupying the seat of power at Alausa.

This is what other candidates are lacking, it is only abstractions on screen, which overly lacks substance when implementation is due.

Hope you understand strategic planning.

Only the true son of the soil, we lagosians knows the best man to vote for ; and the candidate is Babajide Sanwoolu, our incoming GOVERNOR in few weeks time Insha Allah.

Alausa house is not for an average, emotional and sentimental feeble minds but rather for intelligent, innovative and intellectual personality. Here is Sanwoolu articulating his planned programme after engaging, consulting and interacting with stakeholders, workforce groups, different individuals and institutions to ensure policies formulated are impactful for progress and development of the state.

Out of all the candidates, he is the only one that is adequately equipped with solutions and prepared to lead Lagos state to Greater height.

Vote Babajide Sanwoolu as our Governor of Lagos state.

Let me Educate you, Mr Sanwoolu, our incoming Governor have been identifying himself with different workforce growing our GDP in Lagos state; to learn, interact, understand issues facing their business and having an insight of the business proper with a view of formulating policy that would promote entrepreneurship in the state. It is important to engage our youth in start-up like this to reduce the numbers unemployed. For your information, this have been the focus of his attention to these set of lagosians.

A Government without a strategic plan will fail woefully................Don't let us be dramatic, emotional when the right time comes our way to vote who becomes our Governor.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Guber Debate: I’m Not An ‘election’ Politician – Agbaje by justfash50: 9:11am On Jan 14, 2019
Jayloy:
The outcome of yesterday's debate is going to dominate today's conversation no doubt. The fairest debate ever IMO. My unbiased positions are as follows

1. Gbadamosi Babatunde 1st
2. Sanwo Olu 2nd
3. Jimi Agbaje 3rd
4 Salis 4th

Thanks to The Platform, a brainchild of Poju Oyemade, the pastor of covenant Christian Centre.

The truth is that Jimi could have done better. If I were to be Jimi Agbaje, I'll be criticising Lagos government decisions every week. I must always be in the news to constantly rob it on people's face that I can do better. Voice out better alternatives to any project they do, with this he would have been in the news and we would have unconsciously have seen him as a better alternatives. This he should have done while building political structures among the not too educated that always vote at the grass root.
I disagree slightly sir, Sanwoolu should come 1st and Gbadamosi 2nd.

Governance is not all about abstractions alone but more importantly grounded actions. Go back and watch the debate again, what you will notice are unrealistic solution peddled by Gbadamosi. It is not be eloquent alone, it is the substance that comes with it.

He said Lagos state will generate power by itself HOW? He clearly does not have the legal frameworks and the infractions that might come after.

He also mentioned rail as if Lagos state can do it alone without consultation with stakeholders. Etc

Preparation is key in aspiring for the enviable position in Lagos state, this is Lagos state and not others in the country...............you must come with data, information and not just visualize without concrete steps.

You should have just ignored other candidates and go straight to campaigning for Sanwo olu so that Thiefnuubu can continue to milk Lagos
You virtually know nothing about GOVERNANCE I can bet that. Governance is not only about abstractions alone but more importantly with grounded actions.

Every body can have vision for Lagos state but without solution driven programmes which can only be actualized by concrete and practical steps. This is the substance that is lacking in the solution reeled out by Mr GBADAMOSHI . On his plan, he has not factored the stakeholders and he clearly lacks understanding of these issues he claim to solve.

Governance is more of grounded actions and not abstractions, do you know what it takes to negotiate with stakeholders and the legislators. Power issue is more of legal frameworks and not will of the state GOVERNMENT. Do yourself a favour, educate your self well on these sectors

Good analysis. Gbadamosi should start his next campaign from March 2019. I like the way you analyzed everything unlike one suya seller that will be coming here to shout Sai baba and thinks everyone that have contrary opinions support Atiku.
I disagree a bit with your write up, leaving personality out of Governance issue in Lagos state, I think SANWOOLU cleared the debate with concrete and practical steps to solve the problems bedevilling Lagos state at the debate.

Governance is not about abstraction alone but more importantly by taking precautions to engage those stakeholders holding claim to your resources for smooth grounded action. I watch the debate thrice to see who has the leadership skills and will to actualize the mandate of Lagos state, without a doubt it is SANWOOLU, he actually have the strategic plans to resolve the pending issues left by the incumbent GOVERNMENT. He has started the consultation and have given a time frame to resolve the issues.

I understand the sentiment and emotion of who endorse him but the truth is if you are the best you are the best.
PoliticsRe: 2019 Lagos Governorship Debate On 13th January (Live Updates) by justfash50: 8:51pm On Jan 13, 2019
I just laugh with some unrealistic solutions peddled by some candidates at the debate today.

It is very clear that their preparation is in doubt with the data and information reeled out to the audience.

1. Gbadamosi seems to have ideas but many are unrealistic I.e like solving power by letting Lagos state generate power by itself. Does he understand the spectrum or value chain to regulations at all, the legal frameworks will not allow this.

2. Agbaje. He seems to have waned with his unsuccessful contest in the last 14years , he is not bringing ideas that would shape or displace what we know. New ideas lacking

3. Salis surely not our type in Lagos state.

4Sanwo olu. Clearly shown he has exposure, competence , core knowledge of Lagos state and the skills required of a leader to take Lagos to greater height.

Sanwo Eko is the best amongst them all

Venerable612:
All the things himself and yourself mentioned were done/started during this line of APC governorship administration.

He has not added anything new.

PS:

1. I am surprised though - we have a rail line running from Iju to Ebute meta... no is talking about renovating that and getting better trains... They are all interested in building a new one? Is it that those previous rail lines can’t be relayed and used by newer trains or they simply want to keep using those trains in a ‘mega city’? Something is fishy.

2. And I am disappointed APC is not considering investing in Lagos’s personal power grid. There is so much money to be made by the private and public sector if Lagos could define its on energy generation and distribution sector - so that Lagos could at least have near-24 hours power supply. Enough of building roads, rails and bridges- those are all basic government responsibilities.
You are very wrong on your comments above.

The rail line you mentioned ;Iju- ebute metta is a federal government infrastructure and not released to Lagos state Government to execute the rail transport system plan. Moreover, they have secured the approval from the administration of president BUHARI for that corridor.

For power, it has a lot of legal frameworks not tidied well by previous administration, which has make it difficult for the state to generate it's own power. But recently, Sanwo olu have started the conversation with DISCOs in Lagos to unravel the continued epileptic power supply experienced in Lagos state and have pledge to enable progress and development in that sector.

Please watch TV360 debate with Agbaje recently.

PoliticsRe: 32 Countries Of Less Than 40 Million People With Bigger Budget Than Nigeria. by justfash50: 7:36pm On Dec 24, 2018
omohayek:
And by writing this, you've just provided the answer to your own question. The main reason why Nigeria's budget is so small is because it is an extremely poor country, and the reason why the country is poor is because the productivity of most Nigerians is extremely low. Seeing as the nation's transport infrastructure is in shambles, its electricity supply is inadequate and erratic, its educational system is a joke, and its macroeconomic policies are hostile to private enterprise, this poverty is in turn no surprise.

The other chief reason why the Nigerian government's budget is so small is because, unlike most of the other countries you list, few Nigerians pay any taxes, and the primary source of government income is still the same old 2 million barrels per day it has been over the last 47 years. Unfortunately for Nigerians, the real price of oil has not kept up with the 3% annual growth rate of the population, so the same revenue that was spent on 70 million 40 years ago must now cater for 190 million: I hope I don't need to spell what that means for quality of services delivered (which in Nigeria has never been good).
Very good analysis , but don't forget that leadership is key in optimizing our endowed resources for the development of the Nation.

Countries like Asian tigers started gradually to develop their nations with very little resources and they have made history today.
