Culture › If Yoruba Leave Nigeria... by Justmesagi(op): 11:18am On Jan 11, 2022 |
Nigeria will lose almost 50 percent of her bragging right and pride if allowed to leave Nigeria. They've gone far; their region is the most developed in Nigeria.
They have the highest GDP.
The have the highest IGR.
They dominate the mainstream media (often referred to as Lagos-Ibadan express media)
They dominate the highest grossing movies list.
They have the best educational standard.
They dominate penticostalism and have the most popular pastors.
They dominate the fashion sector in Nigeria with the best designers and stylists.
They dominate the real estate sector.
The dominate the music sector.
Best movie directors list is dominated by them.
Best music directors list is dominated by them.
They dominate sport! Yes. It's not about just football and basketball. There are others like table tenis, golf, combat sport, chess, etc. The dominate in most of these.
They can compete in the comedy sector
They have the largest diaspora community.
They have a nobel laurel.
They have grammy winners.
Their culture is the most dominant. Nigerian wedding trend stemmed from them because of their partying nature. Aso ebi, gele, Iro and buba are pointers to this fact.
They are gainin more and more ground in politics too.
To be honest they contribute Nigeria much more to Nigeria. |

Politics › Is Nigeria The Headquarter Of Tribalism In Africa? by Justmesagi(op): 9:44pm On Dec 30, 2021 |
I was wondering, do other country tribes hate themselves like we do in Nigeria?
Do Nigerians have moral justification to blame America for racism?
The hate is not only on Nairaland, let's stop deceiving ourselves, it's just that it's more subtle in real life when things are not tense yet.
Why can't we love and respect one another as humans?
Why can't we allocate reward based on merit?
Why can't we provide affirmative scheme to the needy groups without resentment?
The only place Nigerians are one is on tweeter war against other nationals. Why? |

Dsalvo: You just sound like a bitter person, a failure and a loser. Otherwise you would not be asking someone who is bonafide Lagosian the stupid question "Why can't we have another "Lagos" in Nigeria?".
What is his business with the governance of other States? Is it his fault your SE Governors cannot make a single one of the Igbo States even remotely close to Lagos despite you people's 'developer' bragadoccio?
The question you should be asking is why is Lagos so special? Yet we know you and your IPOBian brothers will never have the decency to answer that question correctly because it would mean giving credit to a man you hate needlessly. You would rather make silly and pathetic excuses.
Now get out of here and go and grill some human ankle or rump Not everyone that air an opposing opinion to yours is from South east. So it's specifically about Lagos? I thought we have regional goals in the South west. Are u insinuating that apart from Tinubu no other person is smart enough to replicate "Lagos" in other states in the South west? Imagine what the South west would look like if we had just Ogun and Ondo surpassing Lagos in all developmental strides. I wish that Dangote refinery was sited in Ondo. It would have helped in many indices. Can't u see what I am trying to paint? Even if i was Igbo, I will still benefit from all these directly or indirectly. Not everybody is bitter, please! |

Gbagura: FG to build 15 psychiatric hospitals in the southeast. E get why.. Mumu, it's not bad. That means more jobs to doctors, nurses, cleaners, etc. Less congestion in our psychiatric hospitals, more modern equipments and developments. So find another sarcasm. I guess u are from Osun? |
Politics › Re: Lagos Raises N137.3bn Through Bond To Finance Infrastructure Projects by Justmesagi: 5:12pm On Dec 21, 2021 |
Gbagura: Wailer, shut up. How many police have you eaten today? You should be ashamed of yourself, In fact the whole Nigerians should be ashamed of themselves. Everything and every time, Lagos Lagos Lagos, why? No diversity, no spread in development. And we wonder why Lagos is overly congested with its infrastructure stressing out before due as a result. Why can't we have another "Lagos" in Nigeria? |
Politics › Re: Lagos Raises N137.3bn Through Bond To Finance Infrastructure Projects by Justmesagi: 3:37pm On Dec 21, 2021 |
We thank God. However, when are we going to replicate this in Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo and Ekiti?
Let's assume Lagos is out of South west then you will be trailing the South South from behind in terms of Gdp, Igr, etc. Even north central won't be far from south west figure without Lagos. We need to think about this. |

hucknall: Be mature na...why will you be calling somebody a fool. Don't mind the submissive slave. He is willing to submit himself to his Fulani master in marriage and cement his slavery after willingly enslaved himself to her politically. Fulani will never like Yoruba. I was only trying to help the fool so that he will not be deceived into master/slave love but if he is willing to be a slave like Afonja ancestor, what can i do? |

Dsalvo: Plesse what productive human resources does Anambra or other SE State have? Human resources like Chike Akunyili killed brutally by illiterate thugs and cultists?
What good are the few Igbo professors, elitely educated and professionals in a cultureless land where uncontrollable opportunists and murderous criminals lord it over everyone?
Perhaps you don't understand what human resources really means and assume it to be about lofty education alone. Goal post shifter. Mchteeeew! |
Politics › Re: The Tribe That Need Nigeria Unity The Most by Justmesagi: 1:58pm On Dec 11, 2021 |
Gbagura: weere said 'ewori', 'ajebu'. Is that even how they are pronounced? So if egba and ijebu aren't Yoruba then what are they? No matter how hard you try, you will continue to be 4th class citizens.
This ibo people are losers yesterday, today and tomorrow. People that practice Osu caste system looking for who to divide. Yeye people They've always said they aren't Yoruba so stop attache. I know Yoruba is finished without Lagos but sorry that is the reality. |
Politics › Re: The Tribe That Need Nigeria Unity The Most by Justmesagi: 9:33am On Dec 11, 2021 |
Dsalvo: Lol. See below and weep. Reality and not the ethno-sexual fantasies your brain cooks up for you to ejaculate to.
Ondo is not the mate of any SE State in natural endowment - whether human, geographical or material resources.
You people should worry about your barren region more instead of obsessing with others.
Yoruba land can and will gain better leadership that will harness all her potentials better because that is how Yorubas will inevitably evolve while you Igbos will continue regressing because of the character flaws you show online daily and 24/7.
Meanwhile what is there to harness in the barren SE full of the most envious, violent, intolerant, hostile and hateful people in Nigeria and perhaps the world?
A stone cannot give water same as the cursed and barren SE cannot suddenly become verdant and cannot magic material endowment or sophisticated, tolerant and productive citizenry out of thin air.
https://www.marylandsisterstates.org/about-ondo-state-nigeria/ My guy, South east no be Ondo mate for human resources oo especially Anambra. So no disgrace us here abeg. |
Politics › Re: The Tribe That Need Nigeria Unity The Most by Justmesagi: 9:24am On Dec 11, 2021 |
Dsalvo: Lol. You Igbos and self-delusions predicated on inferiority complex and hate you feel for the Yorubas.
Are you not ashamed to make the ridiculous claims you do online whereas reality always makes a fool of you guys? You are mentioning Ogun state that has left behind all SE States combined?
Mumu olodo still talking about oil that will be obsolete in 20 years max. Next minute they will brag they are all Einsteins. Lol.
Below is official stats for first quarter of 2021 not hundred years in the past that you shameless irritants love dweling in.
Look at how pathetically you Igbos are doing yet you come online to lie so you feel good about yourselves and your worthless region you are deserting in droves daily.
Look at the image showing 2021 statistics of IGR per population with Igbos pathetically only slightly better off than the North East and North West. Una no dey shame at all.
https://nairametrics.com/2021/11/16/top-states-in-nigeria-with-highest-igr-per-population-in-h1-2021/?amp=1 Baba stop crying. Ogun and Lagos people are not even real Yorubas. They aren't considered Yoruba by us Yorubas. So why carry the matter for head? Virtually all tribes(Egba, ewori, egun, ajebu, abeokuta ) in Lagos is also in Ogun also and they are not Yoruba. |

Seems Northerners are the most patriotic people in Nigeria. They (even the poorest among them) believe in the country despite the abuse, poverty, etc.
I must say I admire their endurance and patriotism. |
