interestingly and funny, some of the agent believes ikeja collections are treated in lagos with assistance of some individuals who understand our country more , thereby the high success rate . And that the V/I centre collections are treated in UK where our African ways are not well understood. please how true are these statements?

There is no truth in that, just dodgy visa agents trying to get clients.

What evidence are you asking for? I gave the logic behind that statement immediately after the statement.

It was a response made in the context of the point raised by the person I quoted; that some agents believe that decision on visas submitted in VI is handled in the UK while those submitted in Ikeja are handled in Nigeria.

It surely does not mean that visa applications are not made in other countries outside Nigeria. Context matters

That is just speculation, when you say that application made in that centre can not be handle outside Nigeria i thought you have a very strong evidence to back that up

Visa applications especially for general visit visa cannot be handled outside Nigeria. While you fill the form online, supporting documents are hard copies. So how will they take such physical documents to UK and return them within a week

Lagos especially VI get delayed because of many numbers of applicants. Note that over 70% of applicants get decisions within 5 working days if you apply in Abuja while less than that percentage get decisions within a whooping 10 working days in Lagos (Ikeja and VI)

hello house, please I need advice from experienced folks in the house. I have applied for shenghen visa thrice in Spain, France and recently Italian embassy all denied. my main problem now is I was directed to different visa agents and different documents was used on this three occasions of which I don't have any knowledge of the kinds of documents used in my behalf, except the recent italy which was vacation. now my questions are
1, can I still reapply
2, is it still ever possible I be issued a shenghen visa again
3, is it not possible I have be blacklisted on shenghen visa platform

If the agent used fake documents then yes it's possible that you have been banned from entry Schengen areas

Hello all, please my wife is 36 weeks pregnant and wants to give birth in the States. The agent who is working on her visa says he is almost done with all the documentation but needs a letter from a doctor in the states to invite her for delivery and why its important for her to give birth in the states. That agent is clueless and will probably get you and your wife in trouble.

No document should come from the agent, not even filling the visa application form.

If you really want to get this done then read first page of this thread and prepare your wife for visa interview.

I didn't see any real advantage to Nigerian (and non-EU) students from Leave or Remain.

2 years ago, I wanted Scotland to remain in UK. Now Scotland voted to Remain in EU, while overall UK voted to Leave.
I look forward to another Scottish Independence Referendum asap, and this time, I will suppose Scotland leaving the UK.
If Scotland leaves UK, they will be more friendly to international students and migrants. There's plenty of space here with huge economic promise for migrant workers and students.

You just read my mind in fact taking Medicaid should not be an option what if you get a 10yr ban and within that period there is a legislation on people that are banned never to be allowed into the US again? When I said she should leave the bill unpaid rather than take Medicaid I didn't mean she should abandon the bill what I mean is to get as much discount as possible and work out a payment option i feel even if she defaults in the payment it's still better than the Medicaid. The hospital pressing her to take the Medicaid are protecting their own interest because Medicaid is a sure means for them to get their money paid.

As for asking them to discharge the children I know the children will never be discharged until they are certified fit. I said she could say that in order to press them for more discount.even me that I pressurized my doc to do CS at 36 weeks he refused. He said the babies were in stable condition so he has no moral justification to bring them out.

Anything above 6mths to a max of 2 years, they may approach a financial institution on your behalf and interest will start accruing after 6 months, which will be more detrimental to her eventually. What will be even more detrimental is when America remove automatic citizenship to a child born in US because of Medicaid abuse or make it even more difficult for expecting mothers to get a visa to US.

The U.K stopped the automatic citizenship route when people started abusing it and I will not be surprised if America takes the same action.


It's morally indefensible to find your way into US, have your child,get American passport, pay some bills and leave the remaining for American tax payers to pick up the pieces.

Having job experience will even enhance your future job prospects.

Studying in the UK is a huge project and at the moment the Uk is unstable as a result of the UK leaving the EU

Yes it's a lot of money to pay but the way out is not leaving Americans to pick up the bill.

@temyb do all you can to get more discounts and a longer payment period as somebody suggested to you.

It's better to renegotiate the payment period after that 6 months than taking Medicaid considering the consequences.

For my Uni (University of Birmingham) I don't need to pay any deposit until I get to UK, I already have my CAS. What should I do, withdraw the money from my account and pay it back to start counting 28days? the money has been in my salary account .

Your first and last name(surname ) should be the same throughout all your documents but you can get affidavit from the court to support that.

Yes you still need to poof that you have strong tie to Nigeria which involves showing that you have business or employment that gives you a good source of income monthly or yearly.

There is nothing like..how much you need to have in your bank account...it will depend on your income and expenditure then the amount available to you after that.

Every input looks good but still came here, discover new stuffs also by reading questions and answers. I applied 7 days to when i was scheduled to travel, paid for priority Visa and it was granted 3 days after, collected my passport with the Visa 4 days after. Presently in UK.

He can pay taxes monthly and gain more ground as a responsible citizen . That is the rate the embassy will use to access your application and not 412.

This is nothing new and if you read previous part you will see many people in similar situation and they were not refused a visa.

If you want to use the new account and start over again then that is entirely up to you i can't convince you any longer.
