@All
About Angelapinkytoes 'scam' allegation.
Please people need to calm down about the whole issue because this is just an alleged attempt to defraud certain people here but there is no exchange of money yet.
We can not conclude that 'she' is fraudulent as such accusation lack any concrete evidence.
Yes the whole deal look fishy to me but i wouldn't conclude yet.
@gunther6..i have to remove the email attachment you uploaded because you exposed somebody's personal details, the allegation was not about him and that violates rule No10 (Don't violate the privacy of any people e.g. by posting their private pics, info, or chats without permission ) |

To give information that might help other job seekers now need divine intervention from BABALAWO. Selfish Nigerians like you will be complaining that we don't help each other like Asians but you are one of those self-centred ones. |

xage: Did my visa for 185k and flew Egypt air with only 115k booking only 4 days ahead..Halimacurve the agent you gave my number called me but the price he gave was too high for sharjah..I'm fine now anyways
Before you process visa do your homework and get a reliable person...also as per flight, cheapest is always Egypt air on Wakanow
However, I must warn that getting a job in Dubai is not as easy as painted by some folks here...but if you are looking for a place where prayers are answered fastest, then come to Dubai...my job was a miracle, do not pay anybody for job be warned
You want to do ur passport and get it the same day or next day without stress, just go to Abeokuta n pay 27k...so easy...
It is better you get a job before coming.... The economy is not as philanthropical as it used to be or as it appears from the other side Nothing surprises me about nairaland anymore So did you apply through job agents while in Dubai or how did you do it? |

askari01: She needs the refusal note so as to be sure if she has been banned and if not, then she can reapply, she doesn't want her passport seized by the embassy. But is it possible for the embassy to seize her passport? Honestly I don't believe that she lost the refusal letter and doesn't know the content. I don't think she has learned her lessons |

KemBee86: Hi dear, please do the IELTS so you can have rest of mind? and don't forget it is the IELTS Life skill A1, on the refusal letter, there is a section strictly for IELTS if the requirement is met or not. Just do it pls! NARIC is ok too but it's a long process! They will gladly deny you if u don't do either.
Regards the pictures, your photobook won't even be accepted, just print out soft copies ok? I submitted about 40 pictures and only got about 12 back. All the best dear! I think that is misleading, Bsc taught in English is far higher than IELTS which is just A level English language qualification. She doesn't need to do it and it stated in UKBA website that if you have such qualification that will be acceptable. |

1 year foundation 4 years sandwich degree 2 years masters (some programs with placement and universities) 5 years PhD Yes that combination works before last August when the rule changed. That combination does not work anymore because there is a limit on number of years you can spend in the UK on student visa. Many schools have that information on that website and ukba just included on tier 4 page as well. |

askari01: Good evening everyone, justwise, iblaw, worry,tunde etc, I need ur urgent contribution on the issue below-.
A friend of mine applied for UK visa in 2006 in which an agent advised her to do invitation letter but she was refused and didn't win appeal, She later applied for another UK visa in 2010 through an agent who collected money from her . During the application the agent advised my friend not to disclose in the new application that she has applied for Visa in 2006, As a novice, she agreed and she clicked No, that she has never applied for a UK visa Becos the Agent said, she applied with the Old passport, that the Embassy won dectect the initial application, since she didn't do biometrics and that the DOB on the old passport is different from the one on the E-passport.
She submitted and the application came out unsuccessful and the Embassy stated that she claimed she has never applied for UK visa but during their search, they found a resemblance in an application that was made in 2006 which bears same name but different DOB. In conclusion, The ECO stated that if they have any reason to doubt her application next time it may attract 10yrs ban . she has travelled to US, Canada N some part of Europe. Now she wants to apply for UK visa and she couldn't find the refusal note again. Kindly give ur candid advise on what to do to secure her UK visa, thanks What does she need the refusal letter for? |

I'm a student in Nigeria being invited by my brother's friend for holiday in the UK. I was wondering if I could state that she's my cousin on the form. Obviously, we don't bear the same surname. Will that hurt my chance in any way?
Thanks Yes it will so stick to the truth. |

salsera: That would depend on the immigration and visa rules applicable when he is done with his studies.
I hope you know that Uk is not the only place he can work or live permanently.
If he does 4years UG and 1yr PG IF he then gets a job with an employer under the CURRENT Tier1 visa rules then he can work in the UK. But its his employer that determines the length of the work permit. If he gets up to 5Yrs then based on the CURRENT rules he can then apply for ILR which is indefinite leave to remain.
Notice my emphasis on current visa/immigration rules. Visa rules in the UK change regularly so there is no point spending 5 years in the UK without keep g your options open to other places. The whole I have family there does not hold water because you are all adults so no right to family life that appears here.
Besides school fees in the UK is one thing but the real expenses are living expenses. That's where you will spend since you can not continuously scrounge on others. I think you are referring to Tier 2 and not Tier 1 visa? |

Justwise What about, if he's still studying and he decided to extend his visa in order to get a job after school, is it possible or must he travelled back before he can then apply for working visa permit?? Don't be upset with my questions. This question and the last one i answered are the same and my answer remains the same. |

If first bank is not processing then try other banks |

claremont: No chance in hell for that to happen, time spent in school doesn't count towards citizenship. The only way for him to become a citizen within that time frame is to abandon the schooling altogether, and then go for the marriage option or the British Army option. I know a few of my uni friends from some years ago that got married to white, obese whales (with kids already) whilst studying, they are all citizens now. Everyone knows they got married for the paper, why in the hell will a young, good-looking and promising Nigerian man marry a middle-aged white whale and take over another man's kids?! They are citizens now, but they are all living a rat-race at the moment because they are trapped in the vicious cycle of doing shitty jobs just to sustain their family.
The EU route that people used to exploit by getting married to an EU citizen to bypass UK immigration restrictions would soon be firmly shut now that the UK has voted to leave the EU. I would suggest your friend thinks long and hard about his decision to spend a colossal amount of money and time in the UK with only a degree to show for it at the end.
The picture below are the kind of women in UK that Nigerians marry for paper. spacyzuma: Those ones have more value, and they have better options of men. They rarely go for african black men unless wooed with plenty money. obynwanyioma:
...but what about the slim cute white girls, why don't nigeria guys go for those ones, could it be that this white fat bufalos are less selective and more friendly than the slimmer ones?? Please guys lets be mindful of our language here, there are black fat women out there marrying black men that doesn't make them less of a human being. There are gold diggers and fat women in all races so we shouldn't narrow this down to one race. |

chelseao: Hello everyone, Please I need help with regards to paying tuition fee. I got an offer for oct in a uk uni and paid for my tuition using the form A in the first week of june at the government rate but it bounced back after two weeks and the bank (first bank) said its cos the money is more than $10,000, (I paid the tuition fees in full) that it should have been splited in two as u can't process more than $10,000 at a go. I had to do the transaction again the following week it but it turned out to be the week the flexible exchange rate was introduced, now the bank said they are not processing till they get a go ahead from cbn or so.. my question is; Is there anyone also in this situation and what are you doing about it? Does this also mean I have to pay the fees using the parallel rate which is abt #500 or is there any way the bank can intervene with regards to paying tuition fees? I dont really understand how this rate thing works anymore since the flexible rate was introduced and I need to pay my fees urgently
please someone should come to my aid before I get high bp cos of this matter Your fees will be paid using the bank rate and the embassy uses the same rate as well to calculate your maintenance money. |

ayla1: Hello House, Please help me answer the ffg questions;
1) I will be travelling to the UK in Sept with my partner for study purpose( I am the main applicant). My passport expires Dec 2016 while that of my partner won't expire until April, 2017. My question is- Do we have to renew his own alongside mine before visa will be issued?
2) A friend told me we may not have to submit a statement for my maintenance if my Aunt who has been living in the UK for more than 10 yrs could write a letter indicating she would cater for my maintenance. Pls, is this possible? How else can one go about this? N.B: I had a 50% tuition fee scholarship. BTW we would like to connect with guys going to/ living in Sheffield.
Thanks. 1. No only you need to renew your passport at Nigerian embassy in London if you have your visa already else you need to renew it before applying for visa. 2. No your aunt can't sponsor you and a letter from her will not make any difference |
