OH, now I understand.
What about if he has family over there who lived there for over 20years?? As a blood, can he claim?
That will be tricky as an adult, if they have lived here for 20 years and never made any attempt to bring him here as a child or teenager then the chances of that happening now is remote.

So, studying for 5years wont bring in citizenship??
What type of visa is required to live in UK in order to gain citizenship??
justwise:
The 10 years route through studying here is out of it.
5 years through work permit.
5 years through marriage.
20 years through illegal residency.
Just listed it for you there^

sliding into my pm isn't good... That's not nice.
Now when I see them I just add to spam
Which check my spam and name more...
I understand that and many will feel the same way you do.

People just need to avoid replying PMs from strangers through their inbox.

If somebody you don't know sends you a PM reply that person through his or her nairaland profile so as not to give a way your email address and real name.

I receive a lot on daily bases only a few are genuine the rest are scammers trying hopelessly to get hold of my details.

Another way is what you mentioned above..add the email address to your junk folder and delete them when you have time

I respect that, though being an agent or should i say genuine agent is not a sin. I'm totally against dubious ones and those who want to place an ad for free.

Thanks for your kind words though.

I will advice you to reapply because sometimes they don't usually deny u visa base on forgery; they might have seen some "red flags" like heavy "cash inflow" in your "forged" bank statement. If they deny you again then u can appeal and show them you regret your action. They are humans!
You are misleading him and giving him false hope

@ justwise. Please, I have an enquiry.Insha Allah, I should be applying for UK student visa very soon because I am awaiting a confirmation of award letter for Commonwealth shared scholarship. In preparation for that, my school advised that I should take the tb test first before I am issued the CAS with which I will take to the embassy with the award letter.
The actual problem now is that, my school has 5 campuses. I enquired from the school before filling the tb test form about which address to put. I was told to put the main campus address and this was eventually printed on my tb test certificate. But when the school was to issue my CAS, it was the address of the campus I am to resume that was included and not my main campus.
My question now is, when going for Visa interview, will the difference in address affect my chances?
Note: As a Commonwealth shared scholar, I won't be payinf for visa as there is an icon I will click that shows my category.
Thanks.
No it will not, explain the differences in your application form so as to clear up any doubt

TCann:
Abeg, people should stop this funny trend of "you were denied because you have no travel history". For a fact, nobody gets denied a visa (especially UK or US) strictly or narrowly for not having travelled out before.

I read this thing on several fora and it makes me laugh...how people gets misguided to start chasing south African, Ghana or Dubai visas to "disvigin" their "pali" (ie passport) so as to stand a better chance when applying for UK or US.

I stand to be corrected, but from my practical information, good people, there is nothing as such...with your freshly minted passport acquired last week, painstakingly fulfilling 95% of visa conditions, without having travelled out of naija before, you can most definitely get your UK or US. I'm cock sure about this.

People should dismystify this visa procedure thingy and don't make it always look like it's based on some funny myths...Majorly by researching the procedure deeply and personally, we can achieve a position of less of what "Justwise said" and more of "discovered facts backed by immigration rules and regulations"....every material needed is available on the internet.

I hear all sorts even from people that are supposed to know(outside NL o), they will say "you want to waste your money abi?" I laugh them off (because I know what I ve researched deeply into even immigration regulations) and everytime, I get my visa and that of my family anyways.

Success to us all and those of us not travelling this year too. Lolz.
Dude deal with your inferiority complex and let me out of this because you can't read anywhere here or other threads where I told anybody that they were refused purely because of travel history.

Justwise, that means one can go along with at least (£2,000-£5,000)??
And getting there opening a UK bank account usually takes how many days/weeks?
Also, is it possible sending money from Nigeria here to someone in the UK??

Thanks as you answer smiley
If you can travel with £5000 then it will make life a lot easier for you at least for 6 months.

You can open bank account in a day, during your orientation some schools allow banks to have a stand within the university environment to register students.

You can receive here through western union or money gram.

When an old member and a new member exchanges words, you favour the former by deleting the latter's comments.

That's what I am talking about!
So in your world banning the old member is regarded as favouring him?

Hi OlowoB, thanks a lot for your many insightful posts. Please I'd like your opinion as to the kind of jobs available to students while schooling in Derby; and also the job prospects in the UK after a masters degree. I got an offer for MSc Control & Instrumentation at University of Derby and also @ Coventry Univ, having studied Elect Elect Engineering in my first degree. I only have experience on inverter and solar panel installations at the moment though.
And please, do you have any idea on IGlobal University's MBA program in Virginia, USA.

Looking forward to your response, thanks a lot!

P.S: @fizzile, I'm also considering my Coventry MSc Elect Elect Eng'g offer though.
This subject has been discussed extensively here you only need to read few pages back to see them.

What do you suggest then??
Go with as much £ as you can then transfer the remaining later. Now that £ is struggling people can take advantage of that before it regains again.
