Walspring: Justwise can help you on this if you can state the moniker of the person transcript you looking for. I'm afraid i really can not help as i do not know a specific moniker to refer him to, the person has to read through this part or previous parts |

innovativeame: Mr Justwise sir, there are some hidden assumptions in ur recommendations. What do i mean? If u recommend that someone should share anything via email, don't you think that will even divert traffic from NL without your knowledge? However, it would have been more appropriate if NL has a special forum that discusses issues on GRE materials and the likes. Well, you know better, but I don't think posting any external link will jeopardise the progress of NL You did not read my post properly and your post is full of assumptions. |

dotman2460: Decent.
Does this applies to all external links or just ones with business intent? Because, I see external links everywhere on NL. External links like govt websites or embassies does not need traffics to survive but forums, blogs, agencies that rely on money coming in from ads do and its wrong to divert traffic from here to such websites. |

dotman2460: Since NL do not allow uploading of materials, how should a poster go about sharing useful resources without giving out the website it is on?
Through email? |

slimmy05: It only positions you as a dictator. It's someone's post and the person must have taken his time to arrange and source for such information and little heads up on why it was deleted doesn't cost you anything. It does and i will only do that when its necessary or when the poster asked. Whether the op spent years gathering the info is immaterial. |

Horayce: But i just explained that the group caters to a different user base: hardcore GRE students. I was one. I used the GRE group last year but i am still on nairaland finding and learning relevant visa /student related info i can't get there or else where. My feeling is that you haven't really thought this through and i understand. Its not about what the group offers, its about diverting traffic to that website. |

Horayce: So early this morning i put a link to a facebook group that has lots of freebies and useful info i thought may help some prospective GRE student, mr. justwise or mr. mod may i know why it was deleted? DDamiit, the entire post was deleted too? Yes there's a paltry no. of businesses --largely indian, foreign -- which solicit students patronage on the site but that's a drop compared to the value anyone would get as i found out while doing my own prep over a year ago ( thorny/tricky quant and verbal questions posted on the forum from users of the 22,000+ sized group; a repository of free GRE docs/books, free keys to gre mock tests etc etc) . I never paid a damn doing my own prep and i don't imagine any one here would. In the past I've played devils advocate when you delete links people put here including mine cos i see the point of establishing a rich vibrant community where we can find all the useful information herein. But now i can't. Does nairaland allow people upload free ebooks? Are there 200+ students posting tricky GRE questions on the forum and other posters to answer them? That's why i dropped the link. Out of sheer generosity and not any thinly guised financial gain. Ok so i suggested people who have extra cash to spare can try magoosh but what has that got to do with anything? Do i run magoosh? Lets say i was on some other forum and i met a nigerian and dropped nairaland.com cos i see it may be useful to her. The mod sees it and deletes it only because nairaland displays banners/ads.. well, you see my point? My complaints aside, there's still the possibility that there's an entirely legitimate reason i haven't considered, and i'd like to hear it. You are diverting traffic from Nairala to another forum. Not a good idea. |

No matter how you try to squeeze the budget you still end up spending more than 3 months of your monthly salary. |

delvy: To tap into your expertise, we really needed a uk visa because we wanted to get to jamaica as well and there's no direct flight, also our visa to jamaica expires in 5weeks. Do you advise we apply for a USA transit visa despite the uk refusal and a previous usa refusal 2yrs ago and no other travel history. Sure you can, the refusal stamp is not a crime as long as it got nothing to do with fraud. When asked at the interview just explain as much as you can. Applying for US transit visa will be a lot quicker since visa is issued at the interview. |

People who are afraid of open discussion have something to hide. |

spikesC: Just by 1 point. Give us a few more matches, the great lion would surely regain it's throne Yea we heard that last season and still end up outside top 5. This season the same thing, spent more than any other team but still struggling to make top 5, taking a single player on one year loan costing £52,000,000 is not making any difference, paying shriek(Rooney) £300,000 a week still hasn't bailed you out. Running out of excuses? We all know the problem...you are missing the 12th man
