Nobody ever said that, submissive can be define in different ways...my own submissive definition means HUMBLE and that's not too much to ask from a woman.....you guys never heard the man side story, you start to judge him and believed one side story. Just because he didn't have paper and married her doesn't mean he married her for paper.
You keep saying what you expect from women, how about men? Is marriage not an equal partnership?

Bro, you don't need to make jest of the man, he has already said marriage is not by force, he can remain single if he didn't find his choice...he's a Nigerian man and he deserve a submissive woman if he want, that what he was brought up to believe...80% of home in Nigeria today, women are submissive to their husband...submissive is different from slavery, he didn't asked too much from that..
...and Nigerian women deserve what? Egotistical, oppressive, self-loving men?

Good morning justwise, i want to apply for a uk family visit visa by January 6th 2015, my brother is inviting me and i am staying in his apartment, i saw him last on Sep 1st 2013, i have 415,000 naira in my account now by January 300,000 will have added to it that is nov and dec salaries, I get 150,000 per month after tax, I hope seeing him a yr plus 4 months is not too little? I hope 700,000 naira is not too little for my closing balance? i have all documents, invitation letter, and all his utility bills, passport page, I am sponsoring my trip, i want you to make this clear ..

What is the cost to you personally of
your stay in the UK? i plan to write a list of all my expenses inclusive my flight ticket fee, cab fee and sum it together and this will not be more that 900GBP

What money is available to you for
your trip?

Please state which currency e.g. US Dollars or UK
Pounds Sterling

i will have 700,000 in my closing balance by January but i will put in 1,650 GBP . I want to know if i am ok,

Lastly on my account i remembered on august i got an alert from my bank on for my monthly salary that comes as eko pints but this came as eko paint and after then it as been coming as eko pints so if i am printing a six month account statement from August to January it will show August Eko PAINTS, Sep Eko prints, Oct Eko prints left with NOV, DEC, JAN, i believe it was a mistake from the bank officials do i need to call the bank attention to this to rectify it, or it doesn't matter cos the pay comes first week of the month, pls advice God bless
If your brother will be providing accommodation and feeding for you then you only need to state that the trip will cost you the flight ticket(state how much its)

Present your salary account and explain any inconsistency on it..e.g the Eko prints and Eko paints mistake, don't let the ECO to notice that first, explain the issue in your application form.

Thanks so much.. My school can give me attendance report and more details about my course performance... Can i still use the same bank statement? The bank statement was printed on 15 of October? can i apply by December 1? thanks for the love and care you show to me..
You need to print a recent bank statement, using the old one will be suspicious.

This is what I was talking about, the mr. too know was trying to paint every Nigerian black bc of few instances here and there.
Go to Japan and see what Nigerian men are going through in the hands of Japanese women. Go to UK and see what our men are going through. A woman is supposed to be submissive, not competitor. Marriage is not by force, there is so much a man can take. When you cant take it anymore and you want to part ways an ignorant person from nowhere will start talking bs.

When a white man divorces a white woman it is ok, but if it were a black man then he married her for visa. Thats what i call bs
You don't deserve any woman, women are supposed to be submissive? What planet are you from? Women deserve as much right and respect as men and if you don't like that then God help any woman who will be so unfortunate to have you as husband or boy friend

Hi guys, I'm a newbie here....
My question goes thus and I will need your humble reply. I applied for a UK settlement visa in 2008 but I was given after an appeal. I then used it as a visiting visa die to the fact that I was in university (2nd year) when the appeal came through and my parents were relocated back home. I was given 2 years and I traveled twice n it expired. Last year I applied for a returning visa I was refused (reason- my age mostly and I don't have an indefinite level to enter at the time I got my settlement visa). So know, my lawyer advised I apply for a study visa now and I have all the required documents to apply.
My only fear is I hope they won't see this as a means of wanting to go in at all cost and want to settle or will they see this as a fresh application.

I was advised to apply in Abuja as the success rates there is higher than lagos? Is this true.

Your honest opinions please. I really appreciate.
Have you discussed this with your lawyer?

What about the western women that bully, insult, curse and abuse their Nigerian husbands all the time?

Not holding brief for anyone but people from poorer countries do the same thing. Not just Nigerians.. Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshi, Philippines, Sub Saharan Africans etc can do the same thing.
You shouldn't be giving excuses for bad behaviour.

Good morning Justwise,
I applied for a visiting visa and received an email from teleperformance with this "Your passp0rt and any returned supporting documentation is now ready for collection" Having followed this thread closely, I was actually expecting something like "your visa has been processed" or "your visa application has been processed" I initially received an email from the UKVI stating "your application has been assessed and a decision has been made..."
Now, its "your passp0rt and any returned supporting document is now ready for collection" Is this good news for me or it simply leaves me with more suspense? Thanks
It doesn't look positive but who knows.....pick up your package and know the outcome then reapply if its a refusal.

I am appying for a six months uk general visitors visa. How do I include the names of my spouse and children who are accompanying me along, since I am the sponsor. Do we apply individually or I apply and include their names as those I am travelling with
I'm not really sure about this but I think you need to fill individual forms for each person.

Those who have applied as a family before can correct this if I'm wrong.

Why do you bother creating the 3rd ID? You wanted to leave nairaland, you begged the admin to deactivate your account. Banning you is just a way of helping you leave without making a meal of it.

@justwise yes I m married and preg b4 i came to UK but my hubby hasn't gotten his complete stay but someone who already has a stay wants to stand for the child (not a stranger). I usually come to visit my hubby here in the UK this is not my first time is just dat this one is for a different thing.

I just want to knw if the child will eventually get a stay and if the child does how can I get my own stay using my child if I dont want to wait 4 my hubby to do it 4 me.

Pls kindly explain everything 2 me so dat I can knw the risk and wat is at stake.

Thanks.
This is criminally possible but i wouldn't advice you to take this route, sorry if this is not what you want to hear, wait until your husband gets his stay then file for spouse's visa for you and your kid.

At the moment you are not entitled to use the NHS without paying because you are on visiting visa.

In the immigration system they have you as a married woman and your husband's name is there, his biometric details and yours are stored, so if another man turns up to claim the baby and they run a check in the system and it reveals that he is not your husband and him will be arrested for immigration fraud. This is not the process you want to put yourself and your baby through.

Yes your baby will get a British passport if by miracle the man claims to be the daddy and he was not caught at that time but the problem will start when you want to claim British citizenship because of your baby, a check in the system will reveal that you are married to another man different from the man on the birth certificate.

Sorry justwise, I am the one who initially advised odare34 to be consistent with her previous application made by an agent by telling the v.o she is married when actually she isn't married. Okay, I understand that type of advice aren't encouraged in this forum. Therefore, I would like to present my apologies.
I was not actually referring to your post, was referring to the person who quoted you and made that comment.

Don't use this thread to encourage fraud.

Hello House,i applied for a 6 months family visit visa last year and the visa was issued( myself, wife and daughter) we went to the UK in April and spent 18 days as against the 10 days stated in my application. My wife gave birth to another baby last month and i intend submitting another application for a family visit. i have the following questions:

1. Would the number of days spent affect my renewal
2. I want to know if i could apply for 2 years for my new son because me,wife and daughter want to renew for a 2 years visa.

Response would be highly appreciated
1. It's possible, you need to explain why you stayed more than stated.

2. You can apply for 2 years and it's up to the ECO to issue him 2 years or 6 months.

For my Euro and USD accounts, it's easy and I did that. For my Naira account, it will take serious work as I have a lot of inward and outward flow, Monthly contributions, some personal business deals like web design, advertising, paying for a land mortgage, I sold my old car and bought my new car e.t.c.

Can I apply using my Euro and USD account statement only? I have more than enough funds to support my trip using that. (Considering that I have submitted my NGN account on two occasions).
Those reasons for the refusal are straight forward and can be avoided if you want to reapply.
Yes you have more than enough money for the trip but it's important to provide source of those incomes. As long as you can show how you made those money then good, you can reapply anytime.

Almost everything you listed above are part of rule already, people hardly follow rules.

Each time you clicked on quote or reply look up and you will see 21 rules listed already. Again too much rule will make the forum unfriendly

But I share your concerns.
