Hello, I made a very concise post on page 592 on how I was able to do my exam the same day at IOM Abuja.
Sending emails won't work. I sent several emails and they told me that they were fully booked. Qlife gave me an appointment for the 13th of December.
But when I went in person, I did it the same day.
Since time is not on your side, I strongly recommend that you go in person.

Is status for your medical updated to pass now?

If you get medical request.

Send email to iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int

And when you get the auto response message you attach the medical request letter and the passport copy to it they will reply with a day for you to come for the medical.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents.

My first question is how sure are you this agent applied in first place?

Why my question is some agent will tell you they apply when they don’t apply.

I once saw someone at business center editing this refusal letter am sure to send to a client that he or she was rejected when he really don’t do anything

So find a way first to be sure he applied for the visa

The agent didn't inform me of the denial until recently that i need the information for uk permit. And till now he hasn't sent me the refusal mail to at least check myself, sighting various flimsy excuses. I know he can be here too to read this thread. In this case pls what can I do? I got similar mails yesterday too from visits UK and UKVI NHSTeam someone posted their mail here few days ago so I messaged them.

From the message is your email written there?

Because I got the same message two weeks ago ambit my email address was not there and when I try to contact the customer care via paid email they tell me another story that my application is still under processing.

So if your email is written there you can expect your passport next week but if not. Means you still have to wait

Was coming from South Africa then and I filled the arrival form online which I paid 39,500 but when I arrive I never pay anything again and the 39,500 is for testing for day1 and day 7 to be check for the covid. But if you fully vaccinated you don’t have to pay anything because the money being paid for for you to be tested when you arrive in Nigeria but because if the situation of Nigeria they just get money but never test anyone

Go to IOM do your Medicals , when you get ppr you have 30 days and trust me before that 30 days , your 40 working days with your Uk fam is complete , it’ll be a win win in the end , you don’t need to withdraw anything at least not for now.

Don’t worry, after your medicals, you won’t get passport request from IRCC immediately. It doesn’t make sense to withdraw your application when you are already at the finish line. Withdrawal process is 15 working days so that will be counter productive.

You don’t have to pay anything as long as you vaccinated. Take your vaccination certificate with you that’s all you need

Jxool you’re not being clear enough , are you seeking to get your passport for Medicals request ? Or did you get a passport request for visa stamping from the Canadian people?
If it’s medical request you can do with a copy of the biodata page for the Medicals oo .

I went to IOM already and I was told I can do the medical with copy if my passport and the Copy given to me when I submitted my application at TLScontact.

But my concern is after I do my medical any moment Ircc might send me passport request so I don’t want any delay when they request for my passport

And apart from that I need to travel, so everything is in tight corner that’s why I just want to have my passport ready

Am at Ibadan but the way I need the passport I think I will go to the office Monday so I can request for the passport so by Wednesday I can have it.

If they allow the option of getting back your passport while your application is still processing will go for that and if not I will cancel my application and get back my passport

Because when I try to message them that I need my passport urgently they never respond so instead of wating for their response it’s better I go there and get things sorted that one will be more faster than waiting for them to reply.

It takes 48hrs to get the passport from the time you request for withdrawal. This request is done at the vls office.
Unfortunately I work remotely and can't go to their office. Hence why I choose for the passport to be DHL back to me. The plan was, I leave work on Sunday, then travel Tuesday.

If you can get to their office, try and do it.
However, you should also ask for the option of retrieving your passport while your application is still being processed. This option is available on their site, so I'm sure they offer that too. See below.

It's basically useless calling them. They can not tell you any specific feedback beyond "a decision has been made or not "
They can't tell you where your passport is or when it will be returned to you.

But I believe the passport is at Abuja because when I called in the morning the lady said if I cancel the application it should not take long for me to get my passport because the passport is in Nigeria here not sent outside the country.

That’s is why I said the passport is at Abuja no other place

So there should be way to get our passport if we need it urgently in this kind of situation, because I really don’t see the reason why keeping the passport and the processing days has passed already.

If a lot of people know about this delay am sure we not going to submit the passport or submit the application maybe next time

That’s the same thing I was told when I called the customer care in the morning as well

I just spoke to someone in the UK center again. I asked they return my passport even if it means withdrawing my application. I then asked how long it will take to get it cos I need to get with my appointment in the US.
The lady there said she doesn't know.
Like what are we really paying the charges for if these call attendants can't provide the necessary feedback.
I'm beyond frustrated at this point.
They are literally saying there is no end to when one can wait for their passport.

I think it’s normal and when medical is requested you will see it will change to we have requested medical

Probably the Visa officer saw something fishy while doing his/her final review before making the final decision..

Something fishy can be:

False information by the applicant a.k.a Misinterpretation
Fake Statement of Account, or any fake documents at all..

If you know that there is no false information in your application or that you didn't submit any fake document and you got a Medical request, your approval is 98% sure, except your Village people do not want you to leave the shores of Nigeria..

When you get a Medical Request, there is 95% chance you will end up with an approval..

With my years of experience with this Canada study Visa applications, I have only come across just 5 applicants who got Medical request and still got refused..

And this is out of hundreds of applicants I have related with and still relate with..

It takes 15 working days to cancel an application so you probably won't get your passport before your travel date. I still believe your passport will get to you before your travel date; it's over 30 days already right?

Is it gonna take long to get back the passport? Because I think once the passport is at Abuja if they cancel the application to send back the passport should not take long. Please anyone who’s cancel his visa application before should please assist here as I don’t mind to loose the visa fee etc because really this is getting too much.
