Good morning house, please can I book biometric before visa application, do I need proof of funds to book biometric and when is the right time to book biometric.

You cannot make a successful visa application or biometric until your proof of fund has been in your bank for 28 days, you will not be offered a biometric appointment until after you've applied for the visa.

You cannot apply for the visa without your pof 28 days confirmed. If you apply for the visa before your money has been ready for 28 days your visa will be refused and you will not be offered a biometric appointment at all. Let's wait for one thing at a time, TB, pof, all have its time. Remember home office has a rule the visa officer or caseworker is following. Let's be guided so we don't waste money. (My opinion) Ire ooo.

Don't worry since they have debited you, they will definitely remmit,I used them too, it took 5days for mine, thank God you've been debited they will change it to dollar in another 3 days from dollar to UK GBP, then in 3 more days pay the sch. Please check your internet banking app to see the stages they are. Your school may not necessarily reply you but you will collect telex copy send to them once you've seen that the pounds has been debited. It will be done just try follow up with the customer service. Which if the branch ?

I don't know much about adding this type of letter of non indebtedness to a student visa application. Maybe others can advise you well, I don't want you to print any statement of acc that will raise an eye Brow check if the aspect of the loan in your pof is not obvious, pray they don't see it. (That's a risk anyway.) Because you will not be there. Your pof should be simple and not have transactions like loan repayment. Most people here are so wise and even if some borrowed funds, they won't start counting from that day the lender drops the money in their acc. The opening balance will be the next day. Why not make your opening balance the day after the deducted loan in your statement then count your 28 days. They will think you're borrowing to finance your study and this is not good. I still heard about it in a seminar organise recently that if you borrow money don't let them see any trait in your statement. Just pray about it and move on. Good luck.

Greedy foes will still not learn...just wait for another 1 year many will spring up again and sink with a lot of peoples hard-earned money.

Well, it depends on how the loan you're paying it's been stated in your statement. If it's showing something like Loan repayment...or just loan..pls and pls this advice is for your own good. It's like you don't know the impulse of proof of fund, Except you don't print from the loan part. Pls do not print from the loan part. It's not about your last payment it will raise concern. People who even borrow money and keep don't print from there talk less of seeing loan repayment in your statement.

Please I will suggest you use another account for your proof of fund. The loan repayment is not supposed to reflect in your statement the visa officer will see it and it would raise suspicion, it shows you're not the true owner of the money in your account and that you're in debt which is been paid back. Use a new acc statement keep it for 28 days you will be good.

Ok, Is the money still in your Bank account intact and you are sure you will be able to complete the application before the deadline of your 31days, and get an appointment, pls ensure you have done all the needful.

What actually delayed mine was CAS.

Please check oanda to know the exchange rate at the time you kept it for 28days and printed it for CAS. Till now you've spent 27days already. This is one of the reasons I will not need to rush it. I don't mind giving the one for CAS to CAS. While the one for visa application will be done separately because of the exchange rate fluctuation. Except you're sure you have enough funds.

What I am trying to say is that you can still use it to apply for your visa but If you're not in a hurry and the money is still intact. You can re-print another POF for 28days just count back 28 days and print it on 29, use the excel used by most people here for accuracy.

Let me try and break it down in small English, it means that that POF wey you print must not spend 31 days in your house.Lol before you send am for application. Like the guy above he kept saying he wanted to use the CAS own, that means the one his school has evaluated for CAS already, you know he must have kept the money for his school own, then it spent 27 days with him, remaining few days to 31 application deadline. I told you guys of my friend who forgot they do TB test because he wasn't aware of Nairaland even his agent didn't remember, he had printed out his POF and others, it was at TSL he was told about TB. He quickly went to IOM begged, it took him another two weeks to get TB. He was a January admission, his pof was the highest 14days I know of before application, he was given his visa.most people don't delay for more than 1week after printing of pof.

Oh yea you can still use it but it's too close to 30days, pray no strike or any delay in between the remaining days. Its fine but you can still control it, shift your printing a bit to give room for more allowance of days. We know you have 27days already so print from a time that will not choke the remaining days to 3, or apply at a good time, Why are u in a hurry? Are u not September intake?

I see! Well, am already in the UK and I used Paga. I want to start processing that of my wife. It would have been cheaper for me if I change pounds to naira in my account.

Lucky you, I think it stopped in February, from last year till January paga has paid for many students. I don't know what CBN is investigating. I called them and they told me it would soon be resolved. Whatever time we don't know. Now September is here closer, can we afford this high rate. I had to quickly buy dollars at 480 and store for a time like this. presently dollar is 502..pounds 720...country hard..people dey vex, no smile, may God provide for us all.
My advice to people is to first study the cost for everything before you start. IHS and visa fee with the exchange rate no dey smile for an applicant and dependants.

During Jan intake, it was Paga u pay in naira and was far cheaper

Its unfortunate Paga has been suspended by CBN for now. You recall it's only pagaverve that enables people pay for ihs and visa fee with lower cbn official rate..now everyman must buy dollar and save it inside domiciliary acc and use the dollar master card to pay. Or let your relatives help you pay from UK.

Please use the same one you have already confirmed just make it 28days. Except there are other issues making you not to print 28days. Try make your application simple and easy for them.

Lol, my man I get you, I just think it's wisdom to know what is use as a yardstick. Have you seen a student visa refusal before? They will never analyse any refusal base on CBN parallel or official rate. Nevertheless no crime if you have the money use cbn rate. The rule of tomb is to try and increase our deposit with a top up that will cover any fluctuations in oanda not the federal government CBN rate.

I’m not a pro here but to my best of knowledge setting benchmark with black market rate of 650 is to the best advantage of the applicant looking at the dwindling rate of naira, naira can fall with a margin of 150 naira within a month. Anything is possible in the country we found ourselves so why no save himself of any unforeseen wahala and play by the rules of the school? I did my proof of payment in April, my school rep suggested 650 but I used 700 instead as benchmark... If he can afford it then he can go ahead.

It doesn't make sense when the yardstick for measuring our exchange rate is oanda, you're there giving excess rate as a rep, make I no curse somebody ooo..Lol.But you and I know that most uk schools will use oanda.com, agent or whoever bringing up excess rate is rubbish, most of the schools rep are guiding and advising their students on the normal rate giving by Oanda, Besides if he had attended to the guy like a good rep, there wouldn't have been issues. But the school rep is proofing difficult to release CAS which is meant for the student and demanding irrelevant money that's extortions. School too is not ready to listen. I feel for the guy sha.

They are just bent on either he uses the rep or they withdraw cas and refund. I'm really disappointed in University of South Wales. I don't know who leaves oanda rate and uses "N650" as the benchmark.

Exactly, even before other offers come pls start applying now to other schools, it's not that bad now..person never even start school, wahala don plenty like this, just back out from this mess, advise him to apply to other better universities. Him head no accept that sch abeg.

I got admitted within ten days of application

Don't try to put yourself under tight corner without explanation. You can't just sent only your updated bank statement, try include a reason you are yet to apply for a new visa to correct the refusal.

You may say you have decided to further your studies in the UK instead of holiday making.....tell them reason you now prefer uk than other country, Please start with the undernoted and join this in second paragraph.

Just go back to that mail you sent earlier to the person issuing the cas, reply by saying,

further to my earlier mail and the attached refusal letter, please be informed that my refusal was majorly due to my inexperienced in handling visiting visa-related applications (or whatever visa you were denied), hence the reason my income and financial statement were misconstrued. (They know you're a green horn)

I will be grateful if my Cas is processed in due time to enable me further process my student visa. Thank you for your understanding.
