While the initiative for aiding the poor is a nice idea , I personally think its only begging the problem not solving it. Instead the money should go to investments , therefore creating more employments for the same poor, improving the health of the poor and enlightenement but plain giving the 5k will only solve the feeding part that may only last a week so that initiative will die a quicker than lightening speeded death. As for the reps and senates , one the objective part that's high and should be reduced drastically, the so-called aids each of these politicians have should be reduced to one not 4. Its in-sencitive and plain prepostrous!

English is our official language as we were colonized by the British (like it or not you can't flee from history) Senegal was colonized by the French now they speak French officially even though they have their native tongue.

another reason apart from the ones mentioned by other commentators , my opinion is because the matketers are being careful of the incoming new govt that might remove subsidy completely and probably reduce the oil price after revealing the scam behind it, therefore rendering the marketers stranded and in huge loss which they are scared of happening and remember greed wouldn't let them wish well for other people but themselves .
