3ace: You see them. N5 inside offering basket? And if they don't see development in the church, people like these will be the first to start advocating for a probe of the Pastor as if they've been contributing millions. And if some of the pastors decided to engage in legitimate businesses in order to better their lives(because they are not angels) and their ministry, una go begin say e don chop church moni or e don do rituals.plz tell them oo |

Waooo! Worst league match in 9years.Unbelieveable. The management shld hv use an assistant to Sir as Head coach instead of importing David moyes. However,Rooney has proven his worth. |
henchamb: two more people added to the labour marketlabour market is not for these people. They are made. |
@Excelboi, You producers at ilorin are selling at a very good price. Average producers are comfortable and need not worry about anything. But protect your Atwap leadership. Are you asking the possibility of selling 300-400bags/day? |
They have just commissioned their FCT. |
stegra: Kabarka, let me start my explanation by letting you know and confirm some things about your vehicle: FORD 1, It's fuel economy is high. 2, its possible your fuel tank Vomits.(Plz CONFIRM) if they do,better for you. 3, The driver of present day Nigeria will not buy EXACTLY fuel of 2500 if you ask him. This is b/c he has needs. And the earlier you see it this way the better. 4,if your fuel gauge is working it will help. NOW BACK TO THE ISSUE. For Option(A-B), i would advice you to discourage giving money directly to drivers to buy fuel for the vehicle.(Reason above) instead buy and pour it yourself. Or if you have time and mobility, allow them to run out of fuel so that each time they call you on phone that the fuel is finished, you drive down with fuel. They will surely try this severally and if you are always there,THEY THINK TWICE. And by so doing, you have removed their mind from fuel to marketing your product. Option C is good especially if the tank vomits . Madam L mentioned a novelty approach to this that she called a BUY BACK SYSTEM. I wish she is on board to explain this. My question is what is the probability that the 400 or 300 will finish when you give the 2500 or 2000? Again.,is it possible the driver goes to all his market everyday? Ofcourse No,you segment your market. Ultimately,if you place drivers on commission, they tend to think little of these things. |

deepwater: Resign! In Nigeria? I feel we are getting civilised by the day. Its no longer do or die as before.Good observation. Is not in our political culture to resign. |
mekaboy: Ever since dora akunyili left NAFDAC, I don't hear or read much news about fake drugs seized and burnt . Neither do I hear that NAFDAC labs were burnt by unknown people. This is because people that are ready to compromise are now in charge. Directorate inspection part of NAFDAC is DEAD. |
gratiaeo: This is absolutely rubbishArrant nonsence! |
bobokelly: Yes NAFDAC is dead but not yet buried, It very easy to bribe Dr. Paul Ohil unlike Dora who will never tolorate nonsense, DORA gbosa, gbosa, gbosa for you a woman that did what a man can not do, THE DIFFERENCE I CLEAR.TEN gboosa for you. |
akintun: Nafdac is now less corrupt. Akunyili was d master of bribery. She introduced d brown envelop culture to Nafdac, and bribed d media heavily. Under Akunyili, Nafdac did not secure one conviction 4 fake drugs, but under d current leadership, there has been 3 convictions so far. Please if you are not in Nigeria,i know what happened at onitsha. We are not talking of ceremonial court sessions,we are talking about real encroachment to den of murderers done by Dora. |
princemolak: Ever since paul orhi came in,we didnt hear anything.sensible again frm nafdacAm telling you the truth, this is a fact. |
enriched: I've been hoping to set up one (in partnership with a friend) before I became a salary earner. I want to quit my job to mind my own business.what nature of partnership? Does your friend has the same value as you? Who among you have upper hand? enriched: I only wish it's still lucrative as our community is flooded with it.That's what we are talking about. You have to start your research NOW! @stegra Please understand what i mean. The ideal price tag of a bag of pure water should be N100. That does not mean that anybody is selling N100. Where am operating, nobody sells N100 instead N70 is common. But we have experimented this price in Rivers state and it worked only for some SABOUTERS to collapse the project. My point is attend ATWAP meeting always, support and protect any leadership that can enforce N100 irrespective of hot or rainy season. Any price less than N100 favours distributors and marketers.Unless you are a high profile producer. Now,Q1-Q3 bulk (min 55bags) @ N60 Any qty less than 55bags is N70 .This is what we do now. Q4,Things like that happens. Once upon a time i had 8 customer selling side by side each other in a block of store.7 of them buys 11 for N700 while 1 in their middle buys 11 for N800.Ford is good. Q5, 14 staffs for 2 machines is bad Think of this: a,Operator that can load, fix problems and help carry water from production room to finished product room. B,4 baggers; 2 for each machine and if you buy another machine, dont employ anybody because one of the girl must have been skillful enough to handle one machine. C, cleaner? Make a roaster for the baggers. D, 2 drivers and 2 motor boy .Perfect. |
If those are the only fault, then, the problem is too minor to return the machine. |
Excelboi: Pls kabarka, our machine is having a very serious problem. Anytime we produce, after about 2hours or so it will start to leak. Sometimes it may be as much as 10sachets leaking per bag. We have called the engineer and he has worked on it still the same result. What could be the problem? Awaiting your reply.10 sachets in one bag?? That's a COLOSSAL LOSS. This is like throwing your money inside a burning flame. You have to shutdown to rectify the problem. Possible solutions are as follows:- a,You have to determine whether the leakage is coming from horizontal or vertical axis of the sealing. This is done by inspecting the leaked sachets. b,After that, you check the teflon of the axis in question. It may have burnt or torn. if so,then replace it. C,Temperature Check if temperature control unit is set to supply enough heating to the elements.Adjust it subject to quality and thickness of film at that time. For vertical : btw 120 deg.C and 150 deg.C For holizontal: btw 200 deg.C and 250 deg.C NOTE:- TEMPERATURE IS NOT ALLOWED UP TO 260 DEG.C,otherwise hot sealing block will be damaged. |

@khodry, if you have little capital. Keep consultants out and do things yourself. Check your inbox for other infos. |
Excelboi: Welldone Kabarka, i still have some things to ask but that maybe laterAm full of expectations. |
stegra: Kabarka,@ stregra 1,Your driver can either be a a, Salary earner or b, Commission earner anything apart from these may not be consistent. Now,the important thing is look at the kind of persons you can get around your area and if you get anyone that can collect salary and still motivated to do the work very well, fine but if not resort to no b. 2,The items that exploded the market for us are displayed live in the ebook ''Pure Water Demystified''. Get a copy. 3,i advice you to attend ATWAP meeting with your 6th sense at alert. They do not always do what they agreed. However, the true value of a bag of water is N100. Support any leadership that TENDS to this price tag and mean it. |
Priceworth123: Nice topic,I think we are still lack some information, even in advance country the issue of plastic causing environment degredation is at burner front.@Princewoth123 Very good and new hi-tech solution but the strength of leadership is the ability to solve immediate problems in most economical way and not to borrow solution that will increase cost. If this will work now, then Gas flaring would have been a thing of the past in NIG. |
godello: Pls pals am not aiming at derailing this thread, but permit me to ask a question that is bodering me, some months ago the federal govt made a pronouncment to ban pure water and nylon generally,by january 2014,I want to ask how we can still make water available to the public at low rate without this nylon issue, because of its environmental factor. Can small pet bottle suffice? Or can water be made availble with other containers? Pls help so as not to be taken by suprise.Hello godello, At inception of this biz,i recall how then Director General Prof Dora Akunyili encouraged nigerians to go into the biz,for her it was an introduction to industralization for average Nigerians.Pure water came to existent because of degenerating state of our waterworks and inabilty of GOVT to sustain any alternatives, which unfortunately is same today. Initially,it was expected that after about 1-5yrs of operation, you upgrade to bottle water. if you look up,a poll is before you in this thread to show what people here thinks.participants were small but it represent the heartbeat of nigerians.this is confirmed in other discussions.READ! link:www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-657308.99999.html#bot An attempt or speculations or rumour has been made to BAN pure water and associated polythene bag TWICE. 1,On july 15,2011 Published on Daily champion of 26th july,2011 The director general of National orientation agency (NOA) Idi farouk made this call when his counterpart from National emergency management agency (NEMA) paid him a courtesy visit. HIS REASONS Because of its adverse effect on environment. He decried the manner in which used polythenesachet littered street and block drainages, thereby increasing the risk of environmental pollution and health hazard.(whose responsibilty?) HIS SOLUTION The agency canvasses the use of degradeable materials to package water.(wonderful!) 2,On 6th June,2013 Determined to check the continued despoliation of the environment, the Federal Government yesterday said plans are underway to ban the use of plastic bags in the country. Minister of Environment, Mrs. Hadza Mailafia, who dropped the hint during the 2013 World Environment Day celebration in Abuja, said government would favour the use of paper bags in their place. Mailafia, who said the ban would take effect from January 2014, also said the Federal Government was also considering banning the use of sachet water. According to her, the move to ban the plastic bags are necessitated by the numerous health and environmental hazards associated with their use. The minister noted that unlike the paper bags that could easily decompose, plastic bags are non-biogradable materials which could stay in the soil for years, contaminating water sources when washed into the rivers by the rain. Then also Read from the same GOVT the latest http://fmi.gov.ng/latest/20538/ Also not quite long ago,NAFDAC RE-CERTIFICATION took place. On page 5 of the manual reads:-Address by Mrs Hauwa keri,Director-Establishment & inspection,NAFDAC. We are really glad that you were able to respond to NAFDAC's invitation to attend this workshop which we have themed ''Packaged water:The importance of Quality''. ...., in his remark at the 1th workshop in Abuja in february, the Honourable Minister for Health,Dr Muhammed Ali Pate, stated that water is so very important for health, well being and survival. **The biz of water is linked inextricably to health and survival. The consumption of water can affect all of us including manufacturers and their families, and therefore ,it is in the best interest of all to provide good quality water to the populace. ** it is therefore, imperative for all of us to pay attention to what is being organized by NAFDAC. He urged the industry to think of sustainability of environment and therefore come up with ways to re-cycle empty plastics instead of littering our streets and spoiling the environment. Our govt is like a person speaking with both ends of the mouth. There is no cohesion in making and implementation of policy in our dear country. These govt officials that make unguarded statement do not know that Prof Dora Akunyili travelled the whole nation to sensitise the people about opportunity in pure water and fruit juice.I attended one of seminar at Enugu in 1998. The first speculation came and fizzled out, this on will follow suit Regarding your concern for small pet bottle. One of our Govt official suggested degradable paper for packaging water so that instead of having pure water we now have paper water. Finally, let me give you a secret wording. Govt of Nig is at our mercy. The only problem is that ATWAP does not know what's in their hand. NUPENG/PENGASSEN has held this country hostage in the past.If ATWAP shut down for one day the effect will be worst. |
Excelboi: I dey feel you sir. Carry on! And b4 dat, hw wia u able to tackle the issue of people buying on credits without willing to repay back reluctantly? Pls share more.Pure water is a fast selling product as a result the credit duration is usually small say 1-2 days and sometimes 1wk. This depend on your arrangement with the customer e.g some buy and sell finish before they pay and carry another one.In other words this customer is always owning but permanently is yours. You can only raise eyebrow if he buys another product without reasons. Others owe because perhap they are not with cash instanta. So the arrangement is either come later that day or tomorrow. Also in granting credit consider the quantity and turnover.Check if your cashflow can accomodate such. In any case, you can give credit to someone you have known or done biz over time.At least be sure of their shop and be able to recognise them.Credit facility is one of benefit of their being your CUSTOMER. Dont just enter the street and start giving credit. No, you may lose money. If i get you right, you said some people collect and pay reluctantly. Well if somebody takes my goods ,the person must pay.No two ways about it.But remember to be gentle in all cases, dont use force.Keep explaining. FINALY,for efficient management of this credits, there is need for documentation. The sales boy can use 2 hard cover notebook i.e one big note for daily sales and another small one for old debt collected, to be written on first half of the book and the other half for expenses. The format and pic of these are shown in my ebook ''PURE WATER BUSINESS DEMYSTIFIED'' |
