Proforce MRAPs due to be delivered to the Nigerian army.
|
When completed, SDB3 would be the largest approx. 45 meters, and most modern Naval ship built domestically in Nigeria and west-africa. The boat incorporates a modern sleek design, this ensures that she has better seakeeping, speed and ergonomics. She is due to be launched in November, however it is unlikely this target would be met. But you never know!!

You can see the high quality steel used in Ezugwu MRAPs been purchased by the Nigerian army. The Nigerian army currently has a confirmed order of 43 MRAPs from DICON Nigeria, with more to come. Proforce Nigeria also has a confirmed order of 30 units from the Nigerian army. Proforce Nigeria is also exporting 100 units of it's MRAP to Chad, also Niger is lined up. Ironically, Proforce has the big order from Chad because Denel of South-Africa could not deliver on it's order for Casspir MRAPs. Chad cancelled the order from South-Africa.

Some locally made Nigerian Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles due to be delivered to the Nigerian army. These ones are made by DICON Nigeria. Nigeria currently has multiple armoured vehicle manufacturing companies. The Nigerian military cancelled contracts for MRAPs from Ukraine to concentrate on local alternatives.

Seun don receive alert!!! Time to force-feed nairalanders with another irrelevant Regina Daniel related news. ![]() |
Odunayaw:The quality of the content, posts and contributions of a number of the posters in this thread is so low. This thread used to be educative, everybody learns something new. Now it's drab, so I stopped posting. |
chkil1:I read Algeria is getting a new Corvette from China, Type-056 Corvette, is this news true? |
Tobiloba2407:It is senseless posts like these that reinforce my decision in quitting Nairaland for good, worthwhile. If you have any ounce of respect for yourself, you will apologize for this your comment, and give kudos to the Nigerian army for making the most of a terrible situation. Ndume lamented the delay in releasing funds for military capital projects, adding that the military and other security agencies needed to be given all the needed support to discharge their assigned tasks. “I don’t know what happened from Thursday that I left Abuja, but before Thursday you can quote me on that, no money has been released to the army as their capital allocation 2020 and we are in June. “The president has been giving presidential orders on tackling insecurity but some people responsible for providing the army with funding are not responding. That’s what is baffling me,” he said. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.pulse.ng/news/local/buratais-relocation-to-northeast-has-made-a-difference-in-boko-haram-fight-ndume/6exr62s.amp |
nemesis8u:Buhahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha ![]() But it can be done. I'll send your phone number to the Nigerian navy. |
nemesis8u:This settles it then. OPVs can be armed rapidly. ![]() |

GeneralFarouq:They are paying back. However the US owes China almost 1.5 Trillion dollars in loans. |
jl115:Don't be a fool, you don't need everything to be explained to you like an infant. Common-sense would ordinarily tell you what i meant. |
jl115:4++ fighters. Stop picking my comments like a fool. |
This is sad. Our society is losing the core moral and family values we had in the 80's and 90's. |
This is a really interesting read. America borrowing from China to fund it's wars in the middle-east. Covid has exposed America as a failed state. https://unherd.com/2020/06/covid-has-exposed-america-as-a-failed-state/ |
S400:This sort of procurement doesn't make sense. This is exactly the reason why I think the Algerian military is better than the Egyptian one. Who buys this multiple fighters jets from different countries. All of them in the same class. Rafale, MIG-29M, SU-35 and now Euro fighter Typhoon. They will also buy the SU-57 in 10 years time or less. |

Americans shitting in the open. Damn savages.
|
youghs:No idea man. |
Oasis007:Not everything is corruption. No amount of corruption can cover up a lack of money. It costs $30,000 to fully kit 1 American soldier every year. Comparing the Nigerian army to America is dumb to be honest. |
Indian and Chinese soldiers fighting. China captured some Indian soldiers.

Mulatta:The technology in the Jaguar is very outdated, it would be a waste of resources to do that, and there's nothing new in that aircraft that is not already open source. The only plan I see for the Jaguar is the NAF storing them in a museum. I don't know why many Nigerians are fixated on that aircraft, not only was it very sanctions prone, it didn't even have a radar. Who will want that in 2020? ![]() |
jl115:The MIG is not similar to the Sukhoi in anyway. This is a load of rubbish. The Sukhoi is a heavy weight air superiority fighter designed and built as a response to the F-15 eagle. The MIG-29 is a medium weight fighter designed as a response to the F-16. |
shogz89:Exactly. |
Sizzorkay:I would rather have the army drive in some sort of protection than none at all. If the funds were there, they won't do this. |
