[s]Argument for argument sake.

Abuse and name calling for no apparent reason or rational. Beyond your own misguided delusional perceptions.

Look at how you expose your complete lack of understanding prejudiced has blinded your reasoning.

What is the difference between a Paratroop and Commando Parachute group. It's like saying what's the difference between Commandos and a Commando Regiment.

It's bewildering.[/s]
I checked for you, they are GCP, French Special Forces operators.

The Nigerian army has many failings in many areas. The Nigerian army is also doing a lot.

Our army pushed Boko-Haram from as far south as Kogi state back to Lake Chad area in Northern Borno.

South-Africa spent 28 years fighting terrorists in Angola, terrorism is not easy.

Please don't come here and tell us to emulate Chad, a country that lost 100 soldiers in one day. It is insulting.

I am all for truth.

Where there are failings in the Nigerian army, we should all discuss it and proffer solutions.

I just can't stand people making disparaging comments about the Nigerian army. Especially when they compare the Nigerian army to other failing armies.

......and claim these other failed armies operating in the region are miles ahead of the Nigerian army and we should learn from them.

You have become fixated with my posts but with vitriolic and condescending rhetoric. But whyhuh

We are in lock LOCKDOWN so l have some time to indulge you.

You are comparing a search and destroy mission in a completely isolated hostile territory, that is taking place over several weeks.

They are sleeping in the harsh open Sahara over several weeks maybe over a month
. They are blowing up potential IED's. Tracking phone calls seeking out Jihadists. An area bigger than the whole of Nigeria.

The journalist was embedded with them for a week + not a day.

They did not drive on any tarmac and avoided pre existing tracks. They were going to very isolated hostile villages. Not a big city like Maiduguri.

Thier formation was attack based not single file and clearly in danger of attack at any time. The visited the place were Us soldiers were ambushed. So they covered at least 500 km or more on that period.

The purpose and intent was not cheap publicity but a concerted specific search and destroy mission.

The entire operation with the COAS with multiple soldiers and journalists in tow, had one purpose publicity. That's a true PR exercise.

There is no comparison.

It seems you are just here to cause discord and unnecessary contention. No genuine intent for constructive criticism.
I do have a lot of time on my hands.

I usually sense a pattern of misinformation in your posts, whether you do that knowingly or out of ignorance it remains to be seen.

There are two armies with similar operations. In the Nigerian video, the war correspondent @Brenda ngusul clearly stated the "Chief of army staff is combing the forest alongside his troops".

Your response was a laughter, a clear form of mockery towards our brave Nigerian soldiers.

In the French Special Forces video, they soldiers are clearly combing the desert, after that they went into Tongo Tongo village.

The exact same thing the Nigerian army did in it's own video, yet you decided to laugh at our troops and glow tributes at the French.

The French special forces did not drive on Tarmac because there are virtually no tarred rounds in the Northern region of Mali. It is mostly desert.

The Nigerian Chief of army staff like the video clearly states visited Nigerian army Super Camps in various sectors, after that he combed the forest with his soldiers.

You are the person telling us he is chilling in Maiduguri. This is why I accused you of misinformation.

The entire thing with the journalist filming French special forces driving on the desert and driving in villages attempts to achieve only one thing, Propaganda and PR.

There is enough evidence to compare the Nigerian army video and French army video.

I find it sad and utterly distasteful that your intent is to disparage the efforts of our brave Nigerian soldiers.

You seem to be one of those people that just like argument for argument sake. You don't make any sense.

Because l did not make any conclusion WHATSOEVER, l gave possible options Parachute regiments or Legionnaire l even said l don't know.

You need to understand the difference between Specail forces, Specialist forces and a specail missions.

And in a mission you will have quite often mixture of combatants from different regiments all pulled together. It's not particularly important or relevant.

What's your point it's, are we train spotting here.
The rest of your post is insignificant.

Since you don't know, the guys are not legionnaires.

They are also not Paratroopers.

They are French Commando Parachute Group (GCP) operators deployed in Liptako region of Mali at the border with Niger.

I can't even count the amount of times they've bombed IDP centers and you're here talking about investigation and compensation. what Intel do they have to carry out any investigation?
You still don't know how incompetent and dull.the airforce is. The Nigerian military generally is useless but among the 3 arms, airforce is the most useless, less effective and dormant.

Is this the kind of training the Nigerian military receives, very pathetic. your country doesn't have a military .. Innocent kids gone like a fart in the wind. They'd even be better off learning a thing or two from playing call of duty. The pictures sent to me on Whatsapp were so gory I couldn't even look twice.

Accidents happen even in the best armies.

Trust the Nigerian Air Force to carry out a comprehensive investigation and details of that investigation would be made public.

Affected families will also be compensated.

French Special forces 1& 2

Nigerian Soldiers 3 & 4

The only difference I see between the Nigerian soldiers and French soldiers is skin colour.

So Mr Komken, are you really judging our hardworking and brave Nigerian soldiers solely on the basis of their skin colour?

The French soldiers who cannot even resupply themselves is better than our brave Naija boys because they are Oyibo.

I shared a Naija video and you laughed. Ignorance, yes?

Some more comedy gold.

Komken claims "They use the Toyota gun trucks but not as transport three gun ports on one truck. Stabilised with optic sights".

Why don't I see any of his claims in these pictures?

- The French Special forces are clearly using the Toyota as a Transport vehicle. This claim is busted.

- The Toyota French Special forces are using has only one stabilized gun, a GPMG. This claim also busted.

- The GPMG clearly has no stabilised optic sight. Well, this is sadly also busted.

Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by kabe1: 4:21am On Apr 14, 2020
According to @Komken, who clearly doesn't know the difference between a special forces soldier and a regular legionnaire from the French army, it is cool for a foreign(Royal Air Force) helicopter to resupply French Commandos in Mali.

Like he put it, French have HUGE logistical support. They are living in a 5 star hotel when compared to the Nigerian army.

OK, but why are 5 star hotel guys begging the RAF for logistical support?

But if Nigeria asks Chad to do their duty as members of the MNJTF it is a taboo. A crime against humanity.

Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by kabe1:
Even in Mali, the French army(Special Forces) cannot fully sustain themselves.

They have to be resupplied by British army Chinook helicopters.

Yet the clown running amok in this thread couldn't help himself but masturbate all over the thread.

I bet if they were white you won't be laughing.

The reporter clearly said they were combing the forest.

They are driving heavily armed light skin vehicles, armed with 12.7mm heavy machine guns with 3 soldiers per truck just like the French commandos in the previous video.

They are carrying out search and destroy operations in the forest, but since they are not white people, you find it funny.

That's quite disgusting.

There are Specail forces and thier are Special forces.

Seem like your regular Legionnaire to me then they might be the Paratroopers, dont know, didn't check.
Bros, Bros!!!

They are Commando Parachutists. French GCP special forces.

I wonder how you came to the conclusion that they are Legionnaires.

Can you walk me through the process of your conclusion?

Interesting video, it shows how intrinsic communication and supply chain logistics are in fighting terrorists.

The need for long-range reconnaissance patrols into hostile territory on search and destroy missions is extremely ESSENTIAL.

The French have huge amount of logistical support. They can call up attack helicopters at moments notice or more. They are living in a 5* hotel compared to our guys. Imagine they drink 5 litres of water a day.

They use the Toyota gun trucks but not as transport three gun ports on one truck. Stabilised with optic sights. Complemented with other light armoured vehicles.

They never go on the same track twice or existing tracks. They are able to track phone calls. This Sahara area in the North of Mali and Niger, is an area bigger than Nigeria. The Mali army is totally incapable.

And they are seeking the enemy. I really think our NA should have a presence in these areas. It is obvious that they are linked into Boko and form part of thier supply chain.
.....And the Nigerian army is doing the exact same thing in this video.
