AFAIK in Russian service T-72B3 is an upgraded / refurbished tank not a new built tank perse. Cost will be much lower than 1 million .
That's the main advantage.

That's the main threat.

with this beast, I doubt if Russia would ever produce the T-14 again.
The T-90m is clearly a beast, but the T-14 is way better. It is like the SU-35S and SU-57.

Russia will buy bought.

Although the T-72B3 is the Tank adversaries should be afraid of. It's a very cheap and good quality tank and Russia has thousands of them.

The T-72B3 cost Russia only 1 million dollars per Tank.

yes its more a heavy short-range MLRS ( 6km max range for the last versions) that move within the combat order of infantry and tanks equipped with incendiary and thermobaric warheads to clear out buildings, field fortifications , bunkers and its extremely effective against entrenched personnel. but its can be mounted only on t72 , t90 chassis ,

pics TOS-1 during Algerian army exercices
What's the max range of the widely used one? The one Algeria has?

So you're saying it has to be accompanied by a Tank and Infantry soldiers?

It cannot move alone with just infantry soldiers?

6km max range for the latest version is not bad.

You use artillery to shell the enemy, then you follow up with this.

What if the enemy has ATGMs how would the vehicle protect itself?

- Nigeria signed the Tucano contract in 2017 and paid for it in 2018
- You ordered 17 vehicles in total, VT4,SH5 105mm and ST1
- The actual contract for your JF17 was signed years ago
- The Ezugwe isn't an 8x8 IFV with several different variants

The contract has been delayed by 36 months according to Denel.........regardless of when the contact was signed, the actual delivery was only supposed to have commenced from 2019.
You know what, Nigeria signed the contract 40 years ago also.

We also ordered 2 vehicles in total.

The actual contract for the JF-17 was signed in 1960, Lord Lugard witnessed it.

The Ezugwu is a cardboard cut out.

Denel is the best and most advanced and most profitable defence company in the world.

The first batch was supposed to be delivered in 2019 with the last batch in 2022.

Also you bought 12 Tucano aircraft in 2017 and you are only receiving it in 2024 ........7 years for 12 Turboprops..........Thus I wouldn't through stones!!
You signed the contract in 2013.

No, Nigeria paid for Tucanos last year. 2019.

Deliveries would commence in 2021.

Nigeria paid for VT4 Tanks and IFVs last year, we have gotten them.

Nigeria completed payment for JF-17 last year, deliveries would commence this year.

Nigeria paid for Ezugwu MRAPs last year, 10 units have been delivered. Another contract was signed last year for 28 units.

Do deflect from the fact that you signed Badger contract in 2013 and you're expecting deliveries 9 years later. That's sad.

From the first date the Badger IFV was supposed to enter service to 2022 is how many years?

9 years after the contract for 238 units was signed.

Yes I know i didn't disprove that the Casspir has seen service for nearly 40 years, because i wasn't trying to!! I even agreed with you on that point

The Mamba M3 entered service from 2006-2008, that's relatively new

Also I said there isn't a vehicle on he market today that has better blast protection than the Casspir.......prove me wrong if you can!
It's not a competition, I don't have to prove you wrong.

Well, you have to also take into account attrition of armoured vehicles in the service of the Nigerian army.

We bought 47 Reva APCs in 2015, how many are operational today. There's going to be a lot of wear and tear when you're at war.

That's not the same for South-Africa, were most of their APCs were used 40 years ago.

Take a look at their project to purchase 250 units of Badger IFVs, there is no movement on that and the project has stalled.

P.S , this is not a slight against South-Africa, I think the South-Africa army is doing it's best, but funds are not coming through.

And are still being built and Exported to this day........Also its only the Casspir that saw action in the Border War.

Our Mambas are relatively new with the MK2(entered service in 1995) being upgraded to MK3 standard in 2006-2008.

And FYI there still isn't a vehicle on the market that offers better Blast protection than the Casspir
I'm not talking about the specification of the vehicle.

The fact of the matter is the Casspir has been in service for more than 40 years.

You did not disprove that.

As for the Mamba, a vehicle that entered service in 1995 is not relatively new say.

A vehicle that entered service in 1995, that's 25 years ago is very old. Nothing relatively new about it.

All MRAP APCs that are built today offer very, very good protection against mines.

Guerillas in Kenya, Rhodesia, Namibia and elsewhere in Africa were generally classified as terrorists by the occupying powers. But are you a member of the occupying powers?
At your age you can't tell the difference between someone fighting to free his Homeland from foreign domination and a terrorist? Hide your head in shame.

So you are saying cos the South African government considered ANC as a terrorist organization you will stand there and say ANC is a terrorist organization? You can't think for yourself abi? Next, you will come and say Nelson Mandela was a terrorist cos he was an ANC member.

Why are you ranting like a market woman who sat on a nail and got pregnant? Did I insult you? No. I merely pointed out your mistake.

You could have just acknowledged it and gone your way, only to call me stupid. So, I'm stupid for pointing out your mistake. A mistake that does a great disservice to the countless individuals who gave their lives to free southern Africa and end apartheid. A disservice to the Cubans and other volunteers who poured unimaginable resources into ending the apartheid monolith.

Mr Man, whichever University you went to go there now and demand they return your school fees. Do that with your chest.

They only have to look at your brain, see there's nothing there and refund your fees. Once you are done, get a certificate of idiotism from the nearest general hospital. Then carry it around on a placard so we can all see it without hindrance.
Again, you lack of common sense is utter astonishing.

Aljazeera refers to Boko-Haram as rebels, rebels who bomb and maim civilians.

It is well documented over the following two years from 1980, thousands of Ndebele were detained by government forces and either marched to re-education camps or summarily executed by Robert Mugabe.

Infact the consensus of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) is that more than 20,000 people were killed.

Are these not terrorists act carried out on the basis of tribe.

These terrorists acts perpetrated by Robert Mugabe predate 1980.

Your lack of imagination, common sense and an inability to conduct basic research before ranting exposes mental handicap.

Quit exposing your foolishness and conduct basic research.

There's plenty of stupid1ty here and it's not from my side. To think a supposedly educated person like you cannot differentiate terrorists from independence/freedom fighters. I am just tempted to tie you up and dump you in the main SWAPO office in Windhoek, so you can call party cadres terrorists to their face.
And no, I am not your bro and you cannot blame me for your own mistakes.
Your hopeless stupidity continues unabated. For a fact the guerrillas at the time were classified as terrorists by not just the South-African government but by many governments across the world.

Ranting like a dog infected with rabies doesn't change that.

Hezbollah were considered a terrorist group in Lebanon, they now control seats in the Lebanese parliament.

Doesn't change the fact many countries consider them as terrorists.

Fvcking iidiot crying more than the bereaved.

Lol. Lookit this slowp0ke calling independence movements terrorists. And no, this was not an honest mistake, cos he has done this before. The other time though I thought to let it pass.
Tens if not hundreds of thousands of brave men and women sacrificed their lives and limbs to free most of Africa from the juggernaut that was South Africa- an apartheid state that believed blacks were subhuman. And then this fella comes here to ridicule their efforts.
I swear I feel like sending some special brand of thunder his way embarassed
You're really, really don't want to go the mud-slinging path with me bros.

I'll let this your stup1dity slide.

I know of SWAPO and Nujoma. So you are saying all independence groups in southern Africa are terrorists? Like how dare they aspire to be independent from the great and magnificently racist South Africa, right?
You are saying south west Africa was not independent at that time, but you didn't state that was because South Africa was furiously blocking all attempts at independence.
If you want to discuss tactics that's fine, if you want to discuss politics, then bye bye.

I corrected my terminology to guerrillas.
Foreign AffairsRe: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by kabe1: 3:00pm On Apr 14, 2020
GabrielYulaw:
It's like you and I read very different history books. South Africa did not fight any terrorists because it was the only terrorist in that region at that time. What it was doing was willfully ignoring UN resolutions, invading independent countries at will, and making war on all that sought the establishment of independent states in the southern part of Africa, cos this would lead to the end of its genocidal apartheid regime.
Talking of terrorists, South Africa was the main supporter of UNITA, a group of undisciplined rapists who delighted in bloodshed and massacres.
South West Africa (Namibia) was not independent at the time. South-Africa ran South West Africa.

South-Africa was fighting SWAPO who are a guerrilla group. SWAPO had support from FAPLA in Angola.
