Car TalkRe: Why Is It That Women Are Mean When Driving? by kabukabu50(m): 5:16pm On Jun 11, 2011
Most Africans, including Nigerians, male and female can't drive to save their lives, they hold up traffic in the fast lane, yapp on their cellphones, read while they drive, never use their blinkers or hazards, don't understand right of way,and don't maintain their lanes when driving, oh and this also applies to Asians,Indians and Latinos, they are total donkeys when you put any of these groups behind the wheel of a vehicle. grin grin

LiteratureRe: Do Nigerians Read/Buy Comic Books? by kabukabu50(m): 5:44pm On Jun 09, 2011
marjo:
Most don't as already stated. Does anyone remember Asterix and Obelix, Tintin, Archie, Safest Hands in Soccer (a footie mag) and all the marvel comics to mention a few. i read them all. As a mother, i buy Super Strikas for my boys and they love it. Once the concept , picture quality , story line , distribution and price are good, people will buy into it sooner or later.
I remeber asterix and obelix, tintin, archie and hot shot hamish, that was a football comic, but there are some comics that I am still looking for that I lost back then,WW2 comic books about british and american soldiers,They are almost impossible to find.

LiteratureRe: Do Nigerians Read/Buy Comic Books? by kabukabu50(m): 2:15pm On Jun 09, 2011
I remember buying my first comics in the late 80s/early 90s in Primary school in Benin,Teen Titans,Firestorm,Legion of Superheroes,Avengers,Blue Beetle, those were the days comics were wildy popular back then and relatively affordable, these days not so much in Naija, they are harder to find and much mnore expensive, but you are right, reading culture has eroded these days, comics got kids interested in science, philosophy and the environment.

What a laugh. If someone has to derail the thread, it should be to advertise his/her ignorance! Those of you trying to teach us English should first educate yourselves about words and their contexts. It's quite pathetic for a blind man to smugly attempt to show full-sighted men the way. A simple google search of the words 'asset definition' would produce the following result:

as·set Noun
1. A useful or valuable thing, person, or quality: "quick reflexes were his chief asset".
2. Property owned by a person or
company, regarded as having value
and available to meet debts,
commitments, or legacies: "growth in net assets"

. . . . . .

Na ITK go kill some people for this life.
You are an absolute tool, ever heard of the word "context" beforehuh the op did not use asset in physical context, rather he indicated that he used it in an economic context.
You should sue your brains for lack of support, ode. grin

Hands down its Racism and Bigotry, the fact that nigerians dont see themselves as being racist/bigots is the best thing about Nigeria, they'll admit corruption, fraud and dishonesty but they will never own up to their absolute disdain for others perceived differences from them.

AutosRe: Nissan Maxima Observation And Advice by kabukabu50(m): 7:11pm On Jun 06, 2011
Here's one.

Engine=VQ35DE 3.5 V6
290 hp and 291 lb ft of torque, which is best in its class compared to the Accord and Camry

Built in Smyrna,Tennesse.

Shares its platform with the Infiniti M35/45 sedan which is an A35 platform.

Keyless ignition with push button start,Navigation and CVT transmission with paddle shifters, no manual shifting.

Enjoy. grin

AutosRe: Nissan Maxima Observation And Advice by kabukabu50(m): 3:59pm On Jun 06, 2011
The reason is quite simple, car buyers in Nigeria have a "herd" mentality, and you have a lot of ill informed mechanics. There is no reason not to choose the Maxima over the Toyota Camry and Accord, the Maxima is more stylish, better performance and has a better interior than both of those. For those folks talking about "potholes" aren't people driving BMW's,Jaguars and many other car brands in Nigeriahuh

The Maxima has only one big problem that I know of,the power steering pressure hose, and most newer nissans have that same problem but other than that the I would still take it over a Accord or Camry,All car brands have problems even when new, educate yourself before buying by going to a car forum like Nico forums.org for Nissan owners.

You wasn't born yesterday but you should have been because you are out of touch with reality.

You have invested in so much negativity that you can't fathom the motives of people that do the opposite( invest in positivity).

I'm single and available. I'm not denying that but you must be a fool if you think I'm going to let you guys disrespect these women on here without reproof. Never that!

What an asshat!!! huh.
