Good morning ,
I am the main applicant and my spouse is the dependent,no children yet

We did biometrics on the 1st of July,
My husband got an NSF mail on the 20th July to proof his relationship with me ,which we did and submitted on the 23rd of July.

I got a collection mail from TLS on the 28th July but my husband own is still at DMC

Please advise accordingly as am under a serious tension.

No you don't require transit visa

You aren't leaving the airport,the time you need to find your connecting flight and the boarding gate might even take up the entire hour, don't be surprised if you have to run to catch up boarding.

They requested further evidence to prove subsisting, ongoing relationship with my partner so I sent our randomly selected WhatsApp chat, random pictures, wedding pictures, land acquisition in both our names, husband’s uk bank statement to show his address, Receipt of bank transfer of feeding allowance randomly selected from 2020 to 2022.

Dear Gurus in the house make una help me oo, I applied for dependant visa since May 30th, I got NSF mail about additional documents to provide on 20th of June which I replied. Uk visa for students and dependants usually take 4-6weeks due to Ukraine issue so I was very patient. This week which is the 8th week, I started losing my patience because it was taking longer than usual to send my travel documents back so I made a paid call on 18th of July to UKVI, I was told the return of passport will be escalated. I got a pick up mail from TLS yesterday that passport is ready for collection but to my greatest surprise when I am already on my way to pick up my passport today, I got another mail from Shelfieldstudent UKVI whatever that my passport may not be ready yet so I shouldn’t attend VAC for collection yet. Has anyone experienced this before?

Please if I may ask (for knowledge sake), why was the visa denied in the first place?

Your POF must be in the account for 28 days. You can print on the 29th or 30th day before your application.

Can I also say that time between Friday to Tuesday is not too much considering you can't do anything during the weekend.

I personally would print it on a Tuesday

Hi Gurus in the house, has anyone had a situation whereby dependant visa take up to one and half month? I have gone for biometrics since 30th of May. NSF mail came on 20th of June which I replied on 22nd. Till now application still shows received by DMC when I tracked it even after getting escalated mail last week Monday that a decision has been made, but no letter or BRP will be given since the Vignette is less than 6 months. Has anyone been in my shoes?

I need guidance with this. I applied for admission using my Msc obtained in Nigeria as my highest qualification in addition to my BSC.
I submitted my Bsc transcript and Bsc certificate together with my Msc statement of result (without Msc transcript) and I was given admission. There were no conditions on the offer requesting for my Msc transcript. Now, I am filling my CAS shield application for issuance of CAS and some of the documents being requested included my Msc transcript and certificate (if you input Msc as your highest qualification). But if I select Bsc as my highest qualification, it will request for Bsc transcript.
I only have the statement of result for Msc and I can't process my transcript because the school is on strike. I have a stamped transcript from my department signed by my HOD with my semester result grades listed out. Should I upload the transcript like that together with my statement of result? Or should I just select Bsc as highest qualification and then upload Bsc certificate and transcript?

Yeah change to same address at iom with 8k and save yourself stress from VO

Don't be confused, just do what you feel is best and that you can properly defend.

If you state staying apart from your wife, you need to show that you are both in sync - joint bank account, evidence of your sending her funds, photos of you guys together at functions or vacations etc. Even when staying together, you still need to show this but easier to defend than when staying apart ...my thoughts though.

But they still need to prove relationship/marriage is genuine whether they live together or not.
I will be surprised if they live apart and don't have bus ticket or receipt or flight ticket to show they visit on both ends.

If that kind of evidence is not available then that casts alot of doubt

Ok why not make it less complicated for you by using same address as your spouse in Nigeria? Stating two different addresses means you guys don't live together and would require you having to prove your relationship with her compared to when you use the same address.

During the TB test in Nigeria - MA wrote address A and Dependent wrote Address B right? Please clarify if the addresses are Nigerian address or UK address?

For your Visa application, use the same address as Main Applicant.

They can apply using different addresses, the most important thing is the additional documents to proof your relationship/marriage

You may need to state that they live in different locations due to work demands but include evidence of travel plus others i.e pictures of the relationship/marriage, bank statement together, bills paid together,etc
