Have you thought about what we are taught at artillery school kontagora? Our problem in that corp is that we are not changing doctrine. Apart from that, we got overzealous officers who are orthodox to the extreme to the extent that they don't improvise and apply personal knowledge in the battlefield. They feel what is taught at school is exactly what they will face in the battlefield. Also artillery corp and infantry Corp lack battlefield coordination. This is where signal Corp comes to play. Signal corp is dying too. Why can't we jam enemy radio and communication. We can't even maintain some of our radios for 6 weeks!!
1. You are not a member of the Army
2. The Nigeria Army school of artillery is not based in kontangora but Kachia Kaduna state.
3. Never you use we to peddle your falsehood.

I don't know if it's slow brain or dumbness.. .. but fact remain that the Nigerian army don't think and are not innovative..to be a successful soldier you have to be an artist and very good and skilled in the art of killing your opponent..if that's not the case then they simply become murderers...!!

A skilled army would not and never continue making same mistake over and over again for decades and keep doing same thing over and over with the hope that it would produce different outcome and result...!!

When I wrote here that it's usually those that carry last in class that go for army work some here came for my head...but nah look all of us sit down dey look and waiting for the next bad news...!!
Shut up

To be frank mobile phone discipline amongst troops in security operations is so low.

The other day I witnessed an officer order an airman to be locked up because of this phone wahala.

NAF Regiment is only present in MDGR Airbse for force protection. For ground combat duties, they're deployed to the NW against bandits, especially the current operation in Birnin Gwari. However, NAF does deploy a intelligence units along with NA troops on operations in Borno. These aren't Regiment or QRF, but rather serve as Air Combat Controllers. They relay coordinates of enemy forces and coordinate close air support missions while in constant communication with ISR and NAF combat jets. One of such officers was KIA in 2019 unfortunately.

NAF Regiment has no current mandate in Borno as far as I know apart from force protection duties in Maiduguri. If they're in Mongonu as you say, then they're probably also there to provide force protection to UN helicopter landing zones.
They are there and not for force protection of UN helicopters.

Lol, despite being heavily armed, you can see fear written all over their faces and their confusion unlike the Biafran soldiers that were always courageous, brave and determined. Little wonder the West led by Britain had to over supply them with arms and ammunition to make up for their inadequacies.

The next step after this is get NAF regiment and panthers to fine tune their CSAR capabilities over large areas like the north east.

Infact contested areas too, won't be a bad idea to get nearby countries like Benin and Niger involved too. This way we would have gotten a modus with several possible outcomes and concepts in the event of any of this kind of incidence again.

This would also see the need for dedicated platforms( ISR, Helos etc) for CSAR ready and good to go night or day.

This gap just manifested in this current incident.

How many times the army has gone for the search ops of their personels left behind or missing in action?

Likely those pilots if not hurt fatally from the crash or ejection are in maidguri if truly that jet came down at konduga, that's 30km from the city and even lesser when you factor the location of own troops.

I truly hope they are fine and well.

Former England U21 skipper Nedum Onuoha has claimed that he did not turn down the opportunity to play for the Nigeria national teams, and has explained why he didn't accept a call-up to play for the Super Eagles fourteen years ago.

Born in Warri but raised in England, the Manchester City academy product was contacted by the Nigeria Football Federation in the weeks leading up to the 2010 World Cup but he shunned their advances.

Former Super Eagles manager Shuaibu Amodu also tried to persuade the dual-eligible center back to switch his allegiance from England to Nigeria in 2009 but was unsuccessful.

German manager Berti Vogts, who coached the Super Eagles 2007-2008, named Onuoha in his first provisional squad in 2007, only for the player to decline the invitation.

In an Instagram Live session with our colleagues Team Nigeria UK, Onuoha explained : "For the first five years of my career, I played for the U20s and U21s of England and the only time I got a call up for Nigeria in my career was from Berti Vogts when he was manager and this was in 2010.

"I got a call up from him saying he wanted me for the AFCON and at that time Roberto Mancini had just become manager at Man City and I was out of his plans and Berti was calling just before the turn of the year.

"This was the first time it happened that I wasn’t part of the first team. I didn’t want to leave and I was worried about leaving for AFCON and having nothing when I come back because people say this is a shop window, it raises your profile and for some people it’s not the case."

Onuoha revealed that he is proud of his Nigerian heritage and to buttress his point, the 34-year-old sensationally claimed that he never sang England's national team whilst on Young Lions duty.

"At the time I was 24 years old, this is what I’m thinking cause I was honest with Berti that I wanted to do it but it wasn’t just the right time.

"From that exact moment, nobody from Nigeria called me again and I was hearing from everywhere that I had turned Nigeria to beg for England.

" But if you look at it anything the media has said wasn’t true and to add to it I know my identity and I was honored to represent England but anytime I got to play for England I would never sing the anthem because I know my home is somewhere else.

"So I appreciated what I was doing and I was given because I’ve the British passport but I always have the green passport and playing for Nigeria is something I’ve always wanted to d," Onuoha concluded.
See this jonzing guy grin
Play for England but don't sing their anthem lol grin grin
