I pity Nigerians. We don't seem to know the difference between Moral obligation and Legal Obligations.

Government has the right to regulate the operation of the church under laws.

This is document is from Internal revenue Service, UK. Read it and enlighten yourselves on how thing are done in civilized countries. Not to open mouth bla-bla-bla. We don't think before we talk.

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1828.pdf (UNITED STATES INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE)

and

http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/gift_aid/rules/church-coll.htm (UNITED KINGDOM HM REVENUE AND CUSTOM)

Only in Nigeria do we try to regulate churches then people open their mouths to say rubbish. Be there let people use your head.

He has an obligation to give enormously, back to charity. The money he ends is taxpayer's and unless that happens, we will have this occurring over and over and over again.

The Rich, in not only Nigeria, but the world at large are a target now. Face it. If you wear the Crown, then you have to act the King. Otherwise try being a servant.

A word is enough for the Rich. I have said my own.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Ranks 19th On Terrorism Risk Index by Kalman(m): 4:29pm On Aug 04, 2011
This English people will never stop amusing me. Those days they called themselves Explorers and Voyagers seeking for other fertile land and invaded territories without Visas. Now the call us immigrants and even condescend to calling us illegal most times.

Now they have decided to call us terrorist, savages and all sorts for fighting our wars now even tho it seems pretty late, sure there is always a starting point for revolution. Were they without wars and bombs? Then, they called it Wars, now they call us terrorist.

If England has never fought a war or thrown a bomb to Scotland, let them cast the 1st stone or leave us to fight our own shares of wars. The War phase would not last forever, Nigeria would certainly be better like they have become in many years to come. But we must fight our wars first. Period

Listing Wars of the United Kingdom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_England This shows the even fought their brother state Scotland in 1337 - 1453

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Forced the Closure of University Of Maiduguri by Kalman(m): 5:27pm On Jul 12, 2011
hillsate:
Lets keep all sentiments aside. What course is boko haram fighting for?
people keep bringing up MEND each time boko haram is mentioned.
MEND were fighting marginalization and depravity. They had a course and were not killing innocent nigerians (in most cases) but rather targeted their rage at government and government installations.
Boko haram are fighting a religious course to turn Nigeria into an Islamic nation and in most cases have been killing innocent Nigerians.

These are the offshoots:
1. Why are the Muslim leaders especially the Sultan not condemning the acts of boko haram. i hope we all remember silence is consent.
2. why are Muslims not condemning the acts of boko haram? The only reason i see in their silence is that they secretly but strongly support what the boko haram is doing.
3. Why is it taking Jonathan eternity to address this boko haram thing? The only reasons i see for his silence  are, he has been charmed, he's clueless or simply afraid. I can bet you this boko haram thing wouldnt have gone this far under OBASANJO.
4. Muslims should not condemn Christians for being against boko haram. The truth is that if boko haram were fighting injustice, poverty, corruption, Nigerians irrespective of their religious affiliation will line up behind boko haram.
You say Sultan and co should condemn abi?
Start from you.
If dem no go bomb you. Shey u no dey fear?

TV/MoviesWhy Are Nigerian Not Traditionally Innovative? by Kalman(op): 10:05am On Jul 10, 2011
It has come to my utmost displeasure that Nigerians copy too much. And as a matter of fact this negative trend is practiced shamefully by the all Producers in Nollywood.
Please Guys what's the way forward about something like this? Must we always show the world we learn as children how to copy from another persons work in class?
Can't we be innovative for once?

Am set to stop watching any made in Nigeria Movie. Don't know about you guys?

And by the way, is this suppose to be funny?

How so ignorant, very shameful!!!

Whatever happened to Nigeria's Health and Safety Legislations in this Country, may God help us?

Imagine, how people are risk their lives along this dangerous and thin railway lines without appropriate railway slippers fitted on them. shocked shocked shocked

People are trying to make a living, selling 50p vegetables at the expense of their lives and that of others along these dangerous lines yet, no one gives a hoot over the risk posed to both traders and travellers - what a pity!

And people of the world are asking whether Nigeria has a Minister, responsible for Transport in this country and what he is doing about this? Is he crippled, blind or asleephuh

Yeah, we know it hadn't been long since the new government took over and it's gonna take some time before everything is put right.

However, before they start to embark on these ambitious projects, theyshould have done their home work properly in order to engage with every aspect of it e.g. from the look of things, the old railway tracks had not been adequately maintained for years yet, trains are sitting on them probably carrying passenger to and fro until disaster happens then, the Minister for Transport will wake up!

Lord have mercy on us, in this country!

Mr Bold
You may need a rethink. Suffice to say, these things happen in other countries too. But only Nigerians condemn theirs. Incase you may want to know where this train is heading.
Its an Indian train heading for the capital city.
How is that for fairness. If you need more images from other parts of the world please do let me know.

And please do imitate people like these who say and am quoting
"Okonjo-Iweala who revealed this in an interview with the Financial Times of London, said she responded to the threat calls by saying: “But I cannot give up on Nigeria.”

the amount of Ignorance on this forum is just phenomenal, of all things done to your "taxpayer money" the one that angers you people most is a fellow Nigerian milking the NHS kmt. maybe i need to point you to some 20,000 pounds of your taxpayer money being awarded to somalian refugees that have committed heinous crimes. not only can they not be expelled, they also will be sit back and start claiming all the benefits u can think of. thereby costing u the "taxpayer" hundreds of thousands of pounds. and u all sit down here display your ignorance. mind you this is just one in a million case outhere,  my point is the system is open to abuse and all nationality are abusing it these days indians, pakistani, eastern europeans the list goes on and there is nothing wrong with a nigerian abusing it.
And so in your infinite wisdom, you think that Nigerians should go and abuse someone else's system is effectively a right approach? I have always said it, there are too many drugs out there. My advice son is "stay off the drugs".
