Out of curiosity, this morning I had to call a friend and former colleague of mine who now works for the NDLEA to find out what was causing the hold up with list.
And she said to me,"I don't know what's causing the delay. The list should have been released by now. But you know its the Military that's handling this process and not even us."
She said the entire process was contracted to the Nigerian Military.

As soon as I got that information, I knew it was going to be a biased process.
Sports / Re: Has Ndidi Outperformed Kante At Leicester City? - BBC Sport by Kanimoe(m): 12:36pm On Jan 28, 2020
Ndidi hasn't outperformed Kante.
This is Ndidi's best season so far and compared to Kante's best season at Leicester (which also happened to be the year Leicester won the league), Wilfred still has a long way to go!

Even though this comparison isn't "complete" based on the fact that this season isn't over yet and we cannot predict how well Ndidi is going to perform, it is quite difficult to think he is going to surpass Kante's stats.

Key Stats for the position of a DM/CM
Blocks
Interceptions
Tackles
Touches
Passes

Footnote
Kante also won the league in his best year! wink

Crime / Fire Hits Efcc Abuja by Kanimoe(m): 7:46am On Nov 20, 2018
Officials of the Federal Fire Service, FFS, Wuse Zonal office, Monday, successfully subdued inferno that almost razed down the Wuse 2 Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The fire fighters led by the Sector Commander, Melone Onyekachi, arrived the Wuse 2 office of the Commission when the Service was alerted of the fire by the Incident Duty Officer of the Commission, Kayode Oyetunde, at 1910 hours.

The fire started at the former newsroom which now serves as storage for ICT equipments that were retrieved from the commission’s former offices scattered across the capital city. The former newsroom is domiciled in the two-storey Costa Hall which was commissioned by Antonio Costa on November 13, 2007. The building currently houses the Data Centre and the Combined Inter Agency Task Force.

When asked what could have caused the fire, Mr. Onyekachi said, “Our duty is to put off the fire; that we have successfully done. There is another department that will come and ascertain the cause of the fire”, he explained.

Two officers attached to the Combined Inter-Agency Task force who were trapped on the second floor of the building were successfully rescued before the fire was eventually subdued. The extent of the damage would be ascertained after stock taking.

The Commission’s Chief Security Officer, Nasir Abdullahi, immediately after the fire was curtailed, went to the Maitama Police Station to report the fire outbreak.

Policemen from the station who followed him to the commission, however, promised to return for further enquiry.

Management and officers of the commission who were on ground to concertedly subdue the fire were: the Supervisory Secretary, Chile Okoroma; Director, Finance and Accounts, Jubril Manigi; Zonal Head of Operation, Mohammed Rabo; DD, Admin, N.T Ibrahim; Head of Legal, Kabir Latona; Head of ICT, Isah J. Abdullahi among others.

Sports / More Of The Same! by Kanimoe(m): 1:14pm On Jun 11, 2016
Okay so we saw Dimitri Payet deliver a win for his country on the opening day even though France didn’t quite impress us as we thought they would; but a win is a win. The game itself was quite entertaining right from kick off and we hope that rubs off on all the other games.

Today we will see Albania take on Switzerland at 2:00pm, Wales versus Slovakia at 5:00pm and then the game of the day at 8:00pm as England and Russia do battle.

Personally, I think Switzerland should win easily against Albania, they have way more quality than the Albanians can handle. In Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, the Swiss have got reasonable levels of creativity to hurt their opponents. Juventus wingback Stephan Lichtsteiner is another player who can stretch the game with his wing play and deliver quality balls into the box. As for Albania, they say this is the best squad they have ever had but really I don’t see them causing any upsets.

Did you know that Switzerland’s Granit Xhaka’s brother, Taulant Xhaka plays for Albania?
Verdict: Albania 0 – 2 Switzerland

Wales versus Slovakia is going to be as tough as any game we are going to see in this competition. The Welsh have a squad I would say is a little about average but in superstar attacker Gareth Bale, they are considered a one man band. If Bale plays really well with a little help from Aaron Ramsey, then Wales will win this game easily.
The Slovakians are strong, strong in terms of their work as a unit. Their lack of technique is concealed by their grit and willingness to go out and graft. Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik and Martin Skrtel of Liverpool will have to always be on top of their game to give Slovakia any hope of surviving this group.

Verdict: Wales 2 – 1 Slovakia

The last time England did anything meaning was in the 1966 World Cup which they hosted, since then they have been disappointing at every tournament. I believe this time they have a better chance than in previous tournaments. Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy should have starring roles with Wayne Rooney orchestrating.
Russia always seems to be a difficult team to beat and I doubt that will change. Zenit St. Petersburg pair Oleg Shatov and Artem Dzyuba are clearly the danger men in this team. I would like to call this a draw but I think England could win by the odd goal – Marcus Rashford could pop up with the winner.

Verdict: England 3 – 2 Russia

Still sticking to my French I say laisse espérer pour plus de drame. grin

Brymo:
As long as u can endure urselves.

Couples shouldn't ENDURE themselves, they should ENJOY themselves.

How long basically depends on the readiness of the man and the age of the woman. The readiness of the man is basically determined first by his financial stability and then his mental strength.

Many guys with poor finances still get married because they just want to be called married men and because their Bible tells them about a certain blessing a wife brings. Unfortunately, many women get married to these kind of men because they are simply running out of time. In the end, this family will be classified as 'poor' because more often than not the man will strugggggllllleeeee to meet his obligations.

And I am of the belief that NOBODY SUPPOSE BORN PIKIN COME DIS WORLD CON SUFFER!

Sports / Romelu Lukaku Can Be The 'next Drogba' by Kanimoe(m): 5:04pm On Jul 09, 2013
As Chelsea's pursuit of a star striker continues, Romelu Lukaku remains in the shadows waiting for his chance, and on the basis of his Premier League showings last season, he is ready.

In the Roman Abramovich era, 12 strikers have been bought but only one – Didier Drogba – could do real damage. The fact that he did it regularly against major rivals made him a success.

As for the likes of Mateja Kezman, Hernan Crespo, Adrian Mutu and Andriy Shevchenko, it just wasn’t meant to be.

Now Chelsea have Edinson Cavani on their radar. The Napoli marksman finished as the Serie A’s top scorer last season with 29 goals in 34 appearances for the Italian outfit.

The man they call 'El Matador' has netted 104 times in total for the club, averaging a goal per game.

The Blues strongly believe the Uruguayan can have the kind of impact Robin van Persie had at Manchester United last season, and going by his statistics, there is reason to believe he can be a big hit.

But this was exactly the same reasoning when Fernando Torres was signed, and we all know of his scoring record of late.

Like Torres, whom at £50m was way too expensive, Cavani at £63m is even more expensive and despite his statistics, there is no guarantee he will be a success in the Premier League.

The best bet for Chelsea would be to graduate Romelu Lukaku to the first team.

Having seen the young Belgium forward excel at West Brom on loan last season, finishing as the sixth top scorer with 17 strikes, Lukaku deserves a chance in Chelsea’s starting XI.

Dubbed as the ‘new Drogba’, Lukaku possesses great ability, including strength, a turn of pace and of course clinical finishing.

With a good number of games under his belt, and steady development, he could turn out to be the real deal and be even greater than Drogba himself.

Lukaku’s fine showings last season proved that he can play top flight English football and is surely the most prudent option for Chelsea now they appear to have missed out on Cavani.

Without a doubt he is currently the best striker they have on their books. From all indications, if a striker is to be successful at the west London club, he may just require a little bit of Drogba in him - and Lukaku has that in abundance.

Foreign Affairs / Goats Detained For Damaging Car In India by Kanimoe(m): 3:04pm On Jun 04, 2013

Police in southern city of Chennai find scapegoats after their new patrol car is damaged.

Aljazeera.com has reported that Three goats were caught and detained by police in the southern Indian city of Chennai after they allegedly vandalised a new police patrol vehicle, the Times of India has reported.

The trio were held as "scapegoats" for the crime which reportedly involved a dozen of their tribe trampling over the car - the latest example of anti-social behaviour in the Kilpauk district of the city.

Police said the goats had a record of damaging vehicles of residents, but had "crossed the line" with an attack on a new patrol vehicle, a maroon Innova. "We got the vehicle two days ago," said an officer on duty.

According to the complaint, about 12 goats dented the vehicle when they and climbed on top of it, "damaging the wipers and glass, and scratching the paint of the bonnet and body".

Police however found only three goats in their subsequent inquiries. "We took the animals to the station and made inquiries about the owner," the officer told the newspaper.

Their owner, Mary Arogynathan, 37, faces charges of negligent conduct of her animals, which were later handed over to the Society for the Protection of Animals.

Crime / Mother Destroys Son's Private Organ For Bedwetting by Kanimoe(m): 1:22pm On Jul 10, 2012
A woman in Abuakwa near Kumasi, Ghana, has done the unthinkable by gruesomely setting the pe.nis of a six year-old boy on fire, severely injuring the young lad in the process.

Cecilia Menaba, 23, allegedly set the pe.nis of her stepson, Prince Yona Menaba on fire in their room, a week ago. Young Yona Menaba, reportedly suffered his ordeal because he wet the bed the previous night. The heartless stepmother therefore decided to set his pe.nis on fire so he would not wet the bed again.
Police in Abuakwa were informed about the case but met the woman’s absence when they visited her home to arrest her about four days ago.

A police source who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they have seen a picture of the bruises suffered by the young boy. According to the source, a reporter of Kessben Fm, Mallam Yahaya who had got wind of the incident lodged a complaint with the police.

He noted the suspect was however tipped off about the police visit to her home and has allegedly fled the house with the victim. Narrating the genesis of the matter on Kessben Fm’s Breaking News programme, Mallam Yahaya said someone in the suspect’s house informed him about the matter.

He said the young boy was staying with the stepmother, noting the victim’s father, a driver by profession, was staying in Accra briefly.

According to him, the boy’s real mother is staying at Kintampo in the Brong Ahafo region. He alleged that the stepmother had been maltreating the boy as she usually starved him to the chagrin of other residents in the compound house.

On that fateful day, the young boy was said to have wet the bed the previous night whilst asleep. The ‘wicked’ stepmother who was annoyed about it decided to teach him a bitter lesson. Fugitive Cecilia then lit a piece of paper with a match stick which she placed on the tip of the young boy’s pe.nis.

Young Prince cried out on top of his voice, begging for mercy but his pleas fell on deaf ears as the ‘wicked’ stepmother burnt his sexual organ.

Meanwhile, the police source said they were tracking the suspect who is believed to be hiding at Gyakye Ahenkro with the boy.
