That 5K bearing you bought MIGHT be the Chinko bearing. Same thing happened to me early last year. I bought the cheap one, it didn't last up to 2weeks. I bought it for 4K then. I had to buy the 'original' one for 8K (then o, it could be more expensive now). I've forgotten the name. Since then, I've had no issues.

Meanwhile, guys please has anyone experienced and resolved this kind of issue? Anytime I'm in STATIC TRAFFIC for long (say 30mins or thereabout) and in the sun and AC is on, my car begins to pulse. After a while, if the traffic is still static, it jerks (not violently, just slightly). If the traffic still continues, it could jerk and go off. If I start the car, it starts normally and it continues the pulse-jerk sequence.

The first time I noticed it, the engine was overheating (from the dashboard indicator). I've since changed the radiator. Now when it happens, the needle is usually in the normal position (middle).

Any ideas?
if this 5k own fail in anything less than 6 months...

i will just kukuma replace it with the complete hub...

i no dey 4 that penny wise pound foolish matter

I recall advising u to be sure which side is humming before u change cos d source of d sound can be misleading. And I told u how to check it. It means u have changed a bearing that was still okay.
actually...
the side i changes was actually really bad...

the noise has reduced even though it has no been eliminated completely...

funny enough...
the people who pressed out the old bearing said it has never been changed b4..

At its worst, the hub can hook. but that's if it has gone very very bad. If u notice now ur wheels get very hot, hotter than usual after u have driven for a while, thats cos of the friction caused by the bad bearings. If u don't fix it fast d heat can weaken ur shaft rubber, cause it to tear, make d shaft grease more fluid, and ultimately affect ur shaft head. The way cars are built, one mechanical fault if ignored can cause a string of damages to other parts.

As long as u can hear d noise, ur riders can too. They may not feel its an abnormality until it is very pronounced. Its cos u know how ur car sounds before that's why u noticed something was wrong immediately u heard the strange noise.
nna errr...
this car no just want make i chop this yeye weekend bonus...

Hub...if u have d money, change both of them at ones, otherwise u will visit mechanic again in a few months time. If u must change one be sure its the right leg, sometimes its deceiving where the noise is coming from. Jack up one leg, accelerate and listen to the sound, do so for the other one to find the culprit.

chai...

can i still squeeze some extra miles out of the hub without any extra damage...
though the noise is really disturbing to me...
.i don't think riders do notice it sha

i need to make some money to fix it.

Bros , no buy Corolla Abeg you. The rate at which
Lastma, cbd , police and task force disrespect Corolla baffles me. D same place other cars will stop to pick or drop someone, let Corolla stop there you will see them coming with full speed.
I just feel d disrespect is too much.
Check Honda Civic or Hyundai or Camry self.
Na my opinion, not d general practice cos it has nothing to do with engine or maintenance
lol...

disrespecting a car of almost 2.5m tok..

Me I prefer card payments, infact I love it. One rider was saying it’s a card trip are you going and I said yes I prefer card na so she begin talk how drivers cancel on her cos of card trips, I pity her. She even tip me after, if to say I be like tojah or Pope i for just follow up cos na better oven.
Transfer comes with d fear of scam or reversal.
Instead of transferring just change to card trip
me i only like card trip when i don owe bolt plenty money...
outside that..
i dislike it

This girl looks hungry grin
You might need to epp her. But on a serious note why do riders prefer to transfer than just use their card ? 99% of cash trip now , na transfer and it’s so annoying. One guy was trying to transfer money on broad street and it’s 700 naira. What rubbish, I had to give account no and zoom off. I will rather loose money to rider than pay Lastma or cbd.
me am a big fan of transfer oo...
reasons are that by that way..
m kinda saving the money from all this unnecessary spending..

n i won't be arguing and talking to rider abt change...

my only issue is the little extra time it takes to make the transfer ...
rider will still be using my ac after i don end trip

The reason the guy sold you that car is gradually popping up.

Try check for your catalyst if they're still intact.

My big daddy 02 V6 nets me 10-12k online on 3k fuel.
I don't off my AC unless I feel cold at night which is very rare.
lol...

the car is not consuming fuel if u ask me..

m just asking to know..
n the catalyst is very much intact..

the car is not giving me any issue so far...

na me no the even pamper am well..

m i know ceh my driving style especially when my rider has waited 4 long is always very agressive..

i make almost 15k on 3k fuel
