Mr Segun,
I've sent emails without getting a response. Your number is not available.
The package I sent since last week still has not been received by your London office. Delivery was attempted on Saturday and Yesterday (Tuesday), and on both occasions no one was there to receive the goods (according to Royalmail). You said you would have someone from your office go pick it up yesterday, it's still there. What exactly is the problem? Why isn't there anyone to receive packages at your office? And if it doesn't get to your office on time, you will tell me about a deadline and how I have to wait till another week before my packages can be sent. I don't want that to happen. Please do something asap. |

Hello guys,
Cousin of mine applied for TRV about a month ago. Got mail today that passport is ready for collection. No mention of medicals or anything like that. I suppose that means refusal right?
I'll appreciate a speedy response. Thanks. |

victz: Today I thank God almighty for all the blessings he has bestowed upon members of this great thread and ask him to continue to grant us our heart desires and meet our needs. When I was about to start this journey, few people that knew about it tried to discourage me. My nature is that I don't listen to discouragement. I'm very determined, and I believe so much in what God can do.
I want to also use this opportunity to thank my brother from another mother Eke40seven. This brother has been there for me from day one to this day without charging me a dime. And to Futurwise11, Zeeblamjo1, Warbay1313 and everyone.......... I say thank you.
I had my interview on the 10th of August, funded the same day, received credit entry confirmation from Deutsche Bank 3days latter. The day before yesterday, I received the much awaited mail from the Embassy to come and pick up my visa. Yesterday afternoon I was among the 19 students that collected their visas at the German Consulate.
To those who are yet to fund as a result of one problem or the other. It is easy to lose hope when your troubles surround you. Uncertainty and doubt can fill you with fear especially when it looked as if there seems to be no way out of your pain. Continue to trust God for a miracle he never disappoints.
To #Teamsummerwinter2016 your testimonies shall be greater.
#Teamwinter2015 na God win! Ah finally, congrats fellow Tuebingen man. I'll hit your email with some questions soon. God bless. |

For those writing letters of motivation, here is a file i found very useful. http://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=11&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CE0QFjAK&url=http%3A%2F%2Fls.berkeley.edu%2Ffiles%2Fstatement_of_purpose.pdf&ei=9CKDVaDrI6Tj7Qab34K4Cw&usg=AFQjCNGuiKBzxS1dmzXjUJv-aoBa7ZIwyQ It's a sample of a 'winning' motivation letter (according to the guy that analyzed it) plus a detailed breakdown and analysis of why it is a strong personal statement . Anyho, I followed the format when writing mine and I think I did pretty okay - at least it got me admitted. It might however, as you will see, be more useful for those aiming for masters, especially in the social sciences and humanities. Hope someone finds its helpful. |

The gates of Walter Carrington are currently shut with no one going in, not even the embassy officials (except for one red Toyota car like that ). Armed soldiers have barricaded the gate. Been here since 5:45, the soldiers haven't said anything other than 'go back'. I'll let the house if & when I get in, except things move too quickly & I can't make time to type a post. |

victz: I got in contact with one Estate agent too. He advised me never to give a dime to anyone until I see that apartment am paying for live and direct. He said that if I mistakingly send any money to any landlord or estate agent na sorry be my name ooo!
Infact the agent nice baje! I had to call and thank him for the advise. Though the Studentenwerk at Tubingen sent me a list of private landlords to contact in case am unable to wait for them to allocate room to me.
Are you also heading to Tubingen? Lol , no doubt. Man must reach there before making any payments. I'm just hoping they can get me the room & make all necessary arrangements so once I get there, I'll just pay and move in. I doubt the Studentenwerken would give me room in time for resumption sha coz I applied really late. Na why I dey consider other options. & yes, hopefully & by God's grace, I'll also be heading to Tübingen. I never do interview tho. That one is in a few days. Do you speak German? |

Thanks. Same here. I'm on the waiting list too. I've been trying those websites with shared flats and co too but haven't gotten any response, maybe because I didn't write in German. I've recently decided to try 'estate agents' in Germany. Got in touch with one yesterday that replied today asking what room size, cost range etc that I need . I'll let you know how that goes. I have no idea how much they charge though. |

Hey, I have something that might suffice. Its a 40-page PDF on information for exchange students. Has estimates for living expenses on page 20-something. I'll hit your email with it in a moment. There's also a webpage I saved that has similar information, only that its ained at exchange students heading to Uni Tubingen from Singapore or so. Let me know if you'll need that one too. Has either you or Victz secured accommodation in Tuebingen? |

Lol. TOEFL is not even hard. Anyone that actually studied in English in a Nigerian university at the BSc level will definitely get a good score. So, except finance or time-frame is the problem, I think its always a safe bet to write an English proficiency exam. No need to go dey hear stories that touch later on.
With that said, would be nice if we could go back to the main topic of the thread and not spend pages discussing a matter that has a simple solution.
Regards. |

lmuhopeful: Bro. If you are asked about that in your interview just be sincere and tell them that you couldnt quit the job amymore to learn German. They are aware that peopke make plans and circumstances change these plans. Tell them the truth about why you couldn't quit.
The VO asked me whether I had learnt German before nd I told her the truth that "I attended the Goethe Institutin May 2014 for only one day" and she entered my response into her computer. That means that the foreigners office must have seen that but they still issued my visa.
So don't be worried. Just tell them you couldn't quit and explain if they ask for reasons Thanks a lot. This sure helps. |

hollaytan: Thanks bro, i got the number from google, i have called and i was told that my case will be attended to, she also told me to SEND AN EMAIL wch i told her i have done so and i was told i will get a reply. I sent my payment confirmation last week wednesday, i hope it was delivered Alright. I guess what's left now is to wait & pray. Wish you the best. @House, does anyone know for sure that the embassy and or alien office does not have access to one's motivation letter used in applying for admission? The reason is because while applying, I went to do oversabi in my motivation letter by stating I would be quitting my job to learn German (even though its not required for my course). I eventually didn't quit my job nor learn German. So I need to know if the embassy/alien office could have access to this information so I'll know what to say before I attend the interview. Thanks. |

lmuhopeful: Thanks. I funded a week after the interview and sent the embassy a confirmation. I do not speak German but I am currently enrolled in the intensive summer A1 course at Goethe. I don't think that a lack of knowledge of the language would affect your visa process as long as your course is completely in English Thanks. This is helpful. |

Hello house,
Has anyone been able to book an appointment recently, say in the past week?
I sent the embassy an email with the required docs for booking student visa on friday, and then again today but haven't received a response.
I thought its the way of the german embassy to give prompt replies.... or is there something I didn't do well? |

Hi guys, I'm new here and about to go open the blocked student account at the embassy tomorrow.
I've downloaded the account opening forms & filled them but the issue is, the form specfies that I 'check that my online application has been completed'. I only downloaded then pdf and filled the it with my pen after printing & didn't do any online application
I've checked the deutsch bank website can't find a place to fill anything online. Could any one help me with this? Do I really need to fill anything online or its an oversight?
I'll appreciate a speedy response from anyone as I need to go to the embassy tomorrow.
Thanks. |
