Canadian visa applications take: - 120 days approx - 4 months approx - 16 weeks approx - by the time your visa is out, you would probably be 25+16=41 weeks - how about applying after you've had this child instead? - then you can apply with your newborn, for a tourist visa, travel to canada and then later inform the embassy, that you wish to have your baby in Canada?. Cheers! Dodoobim: I need help urgently. There are so much information but I do not have the time to ho through.
Am abt 25wks pregnant and was just denied a renewal of us visa. I need to give birth in Canada what is my best option online or paper application. I will be visiting and giving birth on Calgary. Which affordable hospital I can use. What document am I submitting with my application

1. I hope you intend to use the visa for vacation oh and not childbirth, because you will be asked. If asked whether you wanna use it for something other than vacation, mbok, say yes, you might be asked if you are pregnant in the follow-up question. 2. If you wish to have childbirth, come out and say so when filling the form or at the interview or you will be denied. The spirit of Trump has come upon VO's. 3. If your husband is sponsoring the trip, he should use his personal bank account, not the company account as it is seen as fraudulent. 4. All Visa agents in Nigeria are not to be patronised, if you go through this forum, you will stories of unnecessary regrets caused by them, they want your continued patronage not your success just like the mechanic that spoils your car, so that you keep coming back. nikkination: good day guys. My husband and i got married last year (2016) and would like to apply for a b1/b2 visa for vacation. he is an engineer, works in a bank and has an engineering company that is doing really great. our agent advised that we should not use his personal company cos oyinbos dont believe in 'young CEOs'. im of the opinion that since the company is doing good and has a statement of account that can show that he is capable of financing the trip, we should use it. kindly advise pls as both of us are jjc (never traveled before). thank you. |

I concur, honesty is the best policy, only fill in what you can defend. Eventually you will get the visa, and if by chance you were wrongly banned and you are honest and your documents are legit, you could apply for a waiver, not that this happens anyway, honesty is still the best policy. TWoods: In my view, what is necessary is for visa applicants to be entirely honest in their applications and at their interviews. |

First step: Go to page one of this esteemed forum, and read till you understand what you require. Second step: Acquire all documents needed Third step: Pay for visa fee Fourth step: Fill in the forms, yourself, don't use any agent of hell called an agent. Fifth step: Schedule and attend your interview Sixth step: If successful, come here and share your transcript. mic4us2005: i want to apply for the first time how can i go about ii ahve no document yet and live and brought up in nigeria |

Guys guys guys. It's just a US Visa biko. If Nigeria had developed itself with its natural resources, applying for US Visa would have been a formality. Food for thought and no disrespect intended. To whom do we accredit as the deity behind successful US Visa applications? The God of the christian, The Allah of the muslim, The Sango of the Sango worshipper, The Amadioha of the Amadioha worshipper or the nothingness of the atheist. You getting your visa, is at the pleasure of the consular officer and nothing else, when I went for my interview; I saw a high ranking Army officer with his family, rejected and I was given, I had just started working, after returning from the UK with my MSc. penitential: Please try and know that there's nothing like over-spiritual approach here. There are lots of better application than her own that has been denied. i am not a fan of the over-spiritualistic approach to simple matters such as visa applications. Your visas were quite easy to approve.
1. You and your sister showed concrete ties to Nigeria - you are still students in school and certainly would be expecting to come back to complete your schooling. 2. Your mom already demonstrated that she has no intention of being an intending immigrant (which means her two minor daughters are likely to be coming back to Nigeria).
Regardless of how angry the VO is, he is compelled by law to treat an application strictly on its merits. He cannot refuse you a visa simply because he had a bad day. |

Since he entered legally, no probs. Apply alone. Depending on the failure/success of the application, then your bro can apply after you, don't apply together.

We celebrate Christmas in remembrance of God's greatest gift - The birth of Jesus Christ. You know what the life and ministry of Jesus Christ is the antithesis of your ministry, where you call down fire on real and perceived enemies - Jesus dying on the cross forgave His enemies, and taught that us in prayer that the forgiveness our sins, is tied to us forgiving those who sin against. please have a SEAT. |

She's nice actually. Go build your ties and reapply. Ralfoosha: Hi, I will like to share the transcript of my interview that took place in August- I was denied... I have few questions too, please bare with me. ist time experience. After the long queue, and crossing the road from one building to another, I was dehydrated and was getting tired. Lagos, 9am last cubicle to the left, a German-looking lady, no smile, no chills.
me: Good morning / vo: good morning vo: pass me your passport (I pass am) few seconds passes vo: where you dey go? / me: Im attending a film fest in Long Beach, Cali she opens my passport, looks at the visa I had on it before for a while (Na Tanzania). Cant remember if she asked if I've traveled before... Vo: you don marry? / me: yes, I am vo: any pikin? / me: No, we are expecting she no look my face. type, type, type... she pulls out the ugly blue paper and passes it with my passport vo: sorry your visa can not be approved at this time, but you can reapply anytime. me: thank you (with the fakest smile in the world) N34,600 visa fee, just like that? Na hin I throw her my own puppy-eye polite question me: Sorry, but may I really know why my application was refused? (I don turn to vo) vo: the paper explains it. (she paused and thought she should just be nice for once, me sef tanda...she continues) "You are still building" you are welcome to reapply anytime.
Question A Please, what could it be that I'm building? confidence or ties? (I knew I was apprehensive during the interview though)
(i mentioned her comment when I was filling this recent form under the "have you been denied before" session) ---------->>>Fast forward
I didn't know much of this thread then but now, I applied to attend a film festival in Feb, my appointment is in couple of weeks. I haven't paid for the festival yet though because I had trouble getting a refund from the festival I wanted to attend that August which the visa application was denied
Questions B: 1. Can I change my hotel reservation prior my interview? I got a more affordable hotel; obviously the address is now different from the one I stated in my DS-160. 2. In my previous application (which I was denied) I didn't add a particular previous job experience (complete oversight)... I added it this time, hope it won't raise any brows as to why I didn't add it before. 3. Is it advisable to pend paying for the festival till the outcome of my interview (Don't know if they'll contact the organizers to inquire my attendance) 4. I may look bad asking this but, I intend to extend my stay from the number of days I've stated in my DS, but not beyond the 6 months so as not to be labeled illegal... (Purpose - I have skills in filmmaking, so I want to test the water and raise small cash before coming home. Will this extension cause future harm to me revisiting US in the future. (I get confidence say I dey collect this visa this time sha).
@Lady GridIron, FPLawyer, SeyeWesty & rest, I need your opinion and advice. I've been reading this thread pass my bible lately and I'll share my transcript be as it may after my interview.
Pray for me... gbadura funmi... |

1. When asked if you were pregnant, did you say yes? 2. When asked if you were going to use this visa, for other purposes, did you say yes? 3. Have you gotten a response from the US Embassy? 4. Have you gone on vacation, with your vacation visa and returned? 5. Did you apply for b2 visa? If any answer is NO. Ma, I am only saying this because you are pregnant and I might be wrong, its risky as per visa cancellation and god-forbid deportation. Like I said, I might be wrong.

1. Did your brother enter the US legally and for the purposes stated in his form and interview. 2. What do you mean by past testimony, have you applied before? 3. A man once told the VO that he wanted to see the snow in the US, and was given the visa (I'm sure he said other things), so its a matter of luck. 4. I'm not a V.O but even I don't think you have a chance, no hard feelings; what are your ties to Nigeria anyway? lexyj123: hello house, my brother is married to an american citizen, the wife invited me to attend their anniversary, but my brother's permanent residency papers will be ready after the anniversary hopefully (just a projection) .
my question is; is this reason for visiting the united state tenable enough in the VO thinking and past testimony?
wont my brother's status work against me?
i know you are not the VO but what are my chances?
i work with government and earn about 200k plus a moth
i welcome a critical analysis from concerned members, thanks. |

Hello everyone.
If I were to have a child outside Nigeria, I would have my kid in Canada. It seems pretty straightforward. Submit application and wait for X Months (where X = Number of months it takes, depending on traffic) + All the documents + No interview
If you want to have you kid, in Canada, have them now while the liberals are still in power. The trump effect is already taking effect in the US of A.

I.M.H.O 1. Apply as a tourist, fill your form truthfully (especially with your cousin), if they give you fine, if they don't fine. 2. Saying that you are going for a conference, will invite scrutiny and you will be grilled. 3. So long as your cousin is in the US legally, no probs, and he is even in the military (Americans love their military, it could be to your advantage). My opinion. ziggy3579: Good morning everyone, please which website can I register for a conference(agriculture related). my cousin is the US navy and he wants to send me an invite for tourism but I feel if I go through a conference it will be better cos am single (25 next year)hence the ties are shaky but I have a well paying job, over ten thousand dollars in my acct($10,000) and close to a million in my naira acct. In my humble opinion, everything is okay. I recommend doing the following: 1. Apply alone and since your mum has a visa, no need to mention that you are going with someone (if you say your mum, it could raise a red flag and your ma's visa could be cancelled). If they ask what of hubby? Say he will apply later to be with you during your labour week. 2, I sincerely hope this trend isn't a new policy as per childbirth. Your budget was okay. I feel the delivery ought to have been 10,000 dollars though (for the sake of the interview) 3. Depending on your EDD, Reapply immediately or later. 4. Was this in abuja or lagos? All the best! Sophiamax16: Good morning lovely family. I have been following this thread since I found out I was pregnant. Followed every step of getting b2 visa applied wit hubby.
