Education › Re: A 21 Years Old Need Your Advice. by Karleb(m): 5:26am On Dec 07, 2024
Hemart:
Hello Nairaland, please a 21 years old boy needs your advice.

Recently, OAU just offered me admission to study (education and geography) and which is not the course I choose or passionate about.

But due to the pressure on me from my parent and others, I'm willing to accept the offer and get away from home because this is third year of me processing admission .

Now this is the problem, adding the both the school fees and house rent together going to over 200k.

Now I think, Instead for me to go on and waste such amount for on the course I didn't even understand. I'm thinking of collecting the money, then go far from home and start something with it as source of income.

Then sit for another jamb next year.

What will be your wisdom to me ?
JJC! angry

You will start the business and it will collapse.

I'm not cursing you. Even in the US, a large amount of start ups die in their first year. You can Google the stats, that's just the nature of business.

Now imagine what will happen in Nigeria with your meagre 200k. You think that is money? grin

You're 21 now, by the time you are done with your adventure, you will be older than that, if it hurt your parents, they may never sponsor your education again.

My strong advice is, go to school, study very hard and get a good grade. While in school, learn skills that employers need. There are skills that would make you employable in 6 months to 2 years, once you graduate, apply to jobs like crazy.

Chilean women have their own faults but if there’s one good thing I will say about Chilean women or women living in Chile is that they understand the value of money. Some of the things you would do for a Nigerian woman that might end up making you a mockery amongst her and her friends will get you treated like a god here. Like for instance taking a girl to doggis and paying everything. Doggis is like the chicken republic of Chile. Everything there sucks but it’s super cheap. Take a Chilean girl there and offer pay after the date and she would never ever forget that experience.

Chilean women are independent and most have never had a man do anything for them at all. So when a man does even the least for them it messes up their psych in a way and throws them off balance cheesy cheesy. Aside that even sending a small amount of money to a lady like get lunch for yourself today or getting her flowers on special occasions and men do this continuously and you will make her an alpha widow. These same things that if you do Nigeria the girl will call you poor and then go on twitter and say you took me to chicken republic or you sent me 10000 you don’t have shame grin cheesy. Thank God I have escaped that reality forever. Chilean women have spoilt me silly 😂
So they would offer to spilt the bill on a date?

Una brain dey shake Fish that takes less than 15 mins to be properly done is what you are saying it has worms, larvae bla, bla, bla from what I was taught in Agric and Biology their was never anywhere I saw that Fish contains worms when it ain't water snails that can harbors liver flukes?only maybe some kind of Fishes that lives in the Oceans or Seas like Dead or Black Sea which might have been contaminated with poisoning like mecury or any other industrial effluents and those still don't harbor worms.

Although I don't like Fresh Fish in my Egusi Soup I don't even like it at all except I want to add to my Fried stew, better still just opt for smoked or dried Fish to avoid precooked undercooked stress and it will even taste better!!
God bless you.

They should just they don't like it and go their way.

If na oyinbo cook like this, dem go dey hail am.

I personally don't like this method but as long as your food is delicious, I go chop. I don't care the method.

We still dey form elitism untop how to cook.

This thing is preference, I don't know why you guys are fighting.

Some people would tell you that they like their meat/fish fried and not mixed with the soup.

Do you and leave others alone. It's a free world.

babasolution:
The statement by oshiomole that Nigeria needs more artisans as elicited varied reaction across the spectrum.

There seems to be a lot of artisans without work while there are also skilled roles that are begging to be filled.

What are the skilled practical roles that the Nigerian economy requires across all industries?
Oshiomole is a dumb fuuccker that have not worked corporate or business as far back as early 80s. He has been doing government work, basically NGOs. No KPI, no profit target, no profit or loss statement.

He is out of touch of what is needed. The dude should stick to loving his oyinbo wife and shouting emilokan.

If you want career advice, take it from people who are into business.
