Onnasucs1: well sorry for calling it useless. I know how great the course is. But Nigeria has made it look "useless." Imagine the only jobs for biochemistry graduates are teaching jobs in secondary schools. I used to get emotional just like him because truth is bitter. A passion that cannot put food on your table in this present Nigeria is useless. Just imagine Lawyers now earning 30k even corps members earn more than that. Doctors are now getting underpaid. I seriously feel like punching somebody! |

Sir, I would like to know the year you graduated. It's becoming difficult these days to get a job as a biological science graduate. One of the the best guy in my set sells data online. Left NAFDAC 2017 to pursue my Phd degree in Biotechnology. Many of my classmates are gainfully employed. Don’t limit others by your own limited view. Whatever you study in school, be the best in it.. then know you worth. The grace of God will cover the rest. Sir, you graduated in 2011! That's 9 years ago! Life was good. Things have changed! |

bluefilm: You know what...?
I am not here to correct your pessimistic and defeatist views because doing that with you will go on and on and nothing will be achieved at the end of the day.
Truth is that whatever you believe in is what works for you.
If you believe that you cannot raise capital to start your own business, fine.
If you think you can, fine.
Whatever you choose to do with your life is fine with me.
Mind you, even those that read the so called hot cake courses are also struggling to find a place in the job market so as you can see, studying a particular course to get a certificate to improve your employability is not even a guarantee in our world today.
There are many ways to raise a capital to start your business.
If your brain is so soft that you cannot even think of at least one way of raising capital for your own business, then I advise you to start thinking now because thinking is supposed to be one of the skills you should have developed while in school.
Lest I forget, the only reason why I pointed out the option of agriculture is simply because I am of the opinion that instead of focusing on just one way of earning the bread, one can actually diversify.
If you believe that your certificate is the ONLY way to guarantee you earning some bread in life, then that's your own cup of tea. I will assume you didn't read the OP because I advocated for skill acquisition. You even supported my views in your comment. My advice for you is that you should be civil. You don't have to abuse anyone to pass your comments. Have a good day sir! |

Biden911: Don't mind the mumu man. Study any course and come out with good grades with connections you will make it. Most jobs don't discriminate certificates.
Goodluck. If everyone had a connection. If everyone could make the good grades then life might be easier. But the truth is, not everyone will be able to buy a job. Not everyone will make good grades. Not everyone will be connected. In fact, if everyone has connection the whole essence of connection will be defeated, same as good grades. But everyone can have a skill. |

lekki1444: so you are trying to tell me you wasted 4 years of your life studying biochemistry and you cant alter the components of spinach to create a super-food ? so what the hecck where you doing for 4 years ? just wasting away in class snoring ?
as for ovid 19 and HIV those things are not what you think they are and that is why there can never be a cure for those things. thise things exist naturally in all humans without causing destruction. however when the electromagnetic frequency field sorrounding you, which is your immune system, when that field is diminished is when these opportunistic pathogens that occur naturally in all humans start to go on a rampage. my point being there can never be a cure. the cure is electromagnetic field alteration or electric foods. see ? you spent 4 years of your life learning nothing. now you are here wasted If that is what you can infer from my post. Then it's okay. |

You don't even need a certificate to do this. You my friend are funny. Do you know how much a plot of land cost in my village? The question remains: How do you create a job as a political science graduate without capital ?! ...and your comment brings us back to the reason the thread was created. Why would one study political science because of passion only to become a farmer post graduation because they needs to make ends meet. Why didn't such fellow just go with agriculture in the first place? |

bluefilm: This is a very stupid advice.
Advice like this is what is killing the country.
Instead of encouraging people to follow their passion, you are here killing dreams just because you want to focus on employability.
Why will you be focusing people on getting a certificate to get a job meanwhile you and I know that these so called white-collar jobs are becoming quite inexistent as the days go by?
Don't you know that it is much more easier to create a job out of passion (entrepreneurship) than any other thing else in the world?
Instead of encouraging diversity in specialization, you are here talking nonsense.
Bia nwoke m, you should better take your time o!
Nonsense. How would you create a job as a political science graduate (with no capital)? If your passion is not putting food on your table, is that a passion? |

Ask yourself, why do you think it took billions of dollar investment, a lot of genius scientists and upto a year to discover a cure with 90 percent efficacy for COVID-19. Why do you think HIV has no cure today despite the number of seasoned scientists working on it and this project is back by billions of dollars. The earlier comment you made is a something a child would say. No offense. |

They can download the code, send a regret email and then choose the best from everyone naive enough to do the test. I didn't even see it from this angle. This is the case of another WeJapa. From the question, the company/individual was clear about the supposed coding test. They'll just clone the repo and host it for free. I think it's a scam. |

If she is very brilliant, let her study medicine, pharmacy or nursing. If she's not a science student, let her study any course she likes but enroll her in a skill acquisition program that will make her independent in the future. Alexaonfleek: Abeg remove that music from there ooo. I don't understand how someone will use 4 years as an undergraduate to study a course like that. Most top musicians we have or we had,how many of them studied music Would you rather waste 4/5 years studying a course that won't get you a job? If you study music, your years in school will be focused on it. Music is practical and trust me even before graduation you'll start getting musical gigs, going for show and post graduation you'll be among the best in what you do. Mind you music doesn't end in singing. It includes playing of instruments, orchestrating a choir, song writing and arrangement and lots more. |

I have never seen someone who studied Biochemistry or Microbiology getting full employment. They usually end up as unqualified Teachers in private schools. That's true. But there are exceptions. I studied biochemistry and when I look at my biochemical future, it always bleak. Many of my colleagues have now dived into another career. I went for an interview the other day and it was for a post of "IT Support". Of course I've changed career now. My only regret was studying the course just because I liked it. |

Javascript supports augmented expression, incrementing by 1 (i++) and decrementing by 1 (i--) I guess you're fast to make corrections when I didn't do anything wrong. What I mean was post/pre increment/decrement. Python doesn't do that. But it does augmented expression. |
