Ishiewo: Abeg, is Economics marketable in Nigeria? Ask yourself, how many Economics graduates you know have gotten a well paid job as an Economist in the last 5 years. That'll answer your question. |
Programming › Re: Learning Programming. (my Nairaland Journal) by Karleb(m): 12:19pm On Nov 09, 2020 |
naijasensei: For question 1, you are simply printing the same value four (4) times. The characters (*) can be stored in a string, after which you can the print. E.g. my_string = '*******************' Print my_string the required number of times.
For question 2, you are printing two (2) different patterns, which can be stored in two (2) different strings. Example pattern1 = '*******************' pattern2 = '* *' You should know what to do from here.
Question 3 is slightly different. There is a clear pattern here, each new line has a new character added at the end of the string. You can simply use string concatenation (+). Example custom_string = '*' print(custom_string) custom_string = custom_string + '*' # or custom_string += '*' print(custom_string)
....you know the rest.
Thanks. Python doesn't increment like that. Why don't you write it out for the dude. This write up might end up confusing him the more. |
Education › Do Not Study A Course Just Because You Like It. by Karleb(op): 11:49am On Nov 09, 2020*. Modified: 12:53pm On Nov 09, 2020 |
According to this Link Nigeria's unemployment rate is 27.1 percent while Nigeria's under-employment rate is 28.6 percent. That is, more than 50 percent of Nigerians are either completely unemployed or grossly underemployed (they get paid little for doing so much). If you are Nigerian student hoping to further in any tertiary institution of your choice, do not study a course just because you like it. The only reason why you should study any course should be because of its employability rate. Ask yourself, if I study Biochemistry for example, will I get a job. How many people in the past few years have gotten a biochemistry job? Jambites are found of going to school to study courses with fancy names but many of these courses won't get you a job or a well paid job after graduation. Another mistake Jambites make is rushing for Medicine, Law, Accountancy and other courses in their leagues. Why would apply for medicine when you know you'll probably never meet up with the cut of mark? Let's be candid, a high percentage of Nigerian student are average (including myself). It will be absolute foolishness (for a lack of better word) if an average student keep wasting their precious years in search of admission into law. There are other non-celebrated courses out there that'll fetch you money, Computer Science, Music, Food and Nutrition amongst others fall into this category. Gone are the days when a certificate guarantees a job. These days what guarantee you a job as a graduate (or anybody else) is connection, your money or your skill. Most people don't have money to buy a job, most are not connected but most people can have a skill that'll make them financially independent and that is what you as a student should leverage on before becoming a graduate. Learn a skill that'll fetch you money. Regards, A concerned unemployed graduate. |

teemy: Which would be Tom Lucas and I don't think he is interested in any dragging. Using Lucas' name could have landed him in prison if Lucas wanted it so.
Let's ask ourselves, if I was in Saxy4c's shoes and I was to undergo such village square treatment just to be accepted back at a place, I would certainly say it is surely not worth it especially as the matter will never go away despite being forgiven.
At this point Saxy4c, I recommend you forget about FTA. Take note of the lessons you've learnt. Always come out clean if you are in the wrong and don't build your foundation on lies, dishonesty or deceit. You still have the skies to reach if you work hard and abide by good MM rules. I wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Everyone else, I hope you see that going at the rate of punish punish punish will only bring out the ugliness of man within us. Let's say goodbye to saxy4c and bring this chapter of FTA to a close.
Wishing you well - Teemy How do we know he hasn't defrauded other people or was he not the one bragging in Pipsbasketi.ngs dm that upto 12 people have entrusted $100 in his care? Lying to get something from anyone especially financially is another definition of fraud. Stop protecting this fellow. No one here is really interested in witch hunting anyone. Let him leave here for good or come back with a new life and moniker if he wishes. Getting him to apologize or feel remorse is now a lost course. |

teemy: If he can't abide, he should leave.
One thing though, if he undergoes all that humiliation, NO ONE should harass him again especially if he is not doing anything fishy afterwards. Are we agreed on this? Actually, people he defrauded are free to drag him anytime any day. |

Why is @teemy trying albeit so hard to give saxy4c a soft landing? Trying to give a slap on the wrist punishment for fraud?
Truth is, saxy4c is now like an ex-convict.
Special attention will now be on the fellow from now on even if he comes to tender "sincere" apology. |

Please I need be cleared on this Python's '/' always give floating point number (decimal). If you run that 10 times you might get ten different numbers, the only difference will be the numbers after the decimal. Use '//' to get a non-decimal answer instead. Try to download an introductory book to python, all these and more are discussed thoroughly there. |

He started like this last season before he started banging in goals left and right, he even scored our first EPL hat-trick since SAF left. |

saxy4c: I really must apologize for the chaotic situation I've caused on this thread. I set out with a totally different objective in mind from the various allegations brought forth on me and of all that's been said, I have truly been broken by the statements of the likes of Mrbillionaire who have stated that I stifled others contributions on this thread.
We can only make an impact if we harness our various potentials and perspectives. All of these exchanges would only tarnish the face of this thread because we are all entitled to our views and it would always be a mixture of divergent standpoints. I apologize for my mistakes and erroneous actions. I plead that we set this behind us for the greater purpose of this thread and move on, if that's possible.
It has now become a personal exchange which has nothing to do with the underlying factors and I accept all responsibility for the commotion of the last 40pages as I now see that it could have been closed off much earlier. I've also taken off the threads I created of one of the veterans as requested by the General populace here. For those I disappointed, please find it somewhere to accept I'm fallible. Let's please get back to analyzing setups as the veterans had initially set out to do here. Thank you and have a great trading week ahead. It'll be better if you state exactly what you are sorry for. Personally, I don't want to see any of your fishertrader4x marketing on this thread. If you want members on your personal telegram group, create a separate thread for that or you could go to another website or use another medium. This thread should not be an avenue to scout for members (or minions). I ask again, kindly state exactly what you are sorry for. |

The so called mess on this thread is necessary. If they come here to claim he’s a saint and no one counters them. They'll eventually come out en mass, dominate this thread and he will come out of his hiding eventually in an aggressive hunt for followers (or minions) and the work of our detective(s) shall be defeated. Don't blame one party for dragging this. Drag the other party that keeps coming up with what has already been over flogged in the past weeks. |
