Brukx: I think starting your programming career with HTML and CSS is a wrong move. Learn a fully fleshed programming language and understand the concept of OOP before going into web-design HTML, CSS and front end Javascript is the way to go with web development. This is the reason why HTML, CSS and front end Javascript are the first you are required to learn in websites like freecodecamp and w3schools. These modules were set up by professionals with years of experience. |

Note: I'm no fan of wizkid or davido...
Sto Nigerians are hypocrites now. When you ask them their favorites, they'll list all musical artists from US, UK and Europe maybe they don't know international artists drop trash from time to time. |

Thesole: intelligence and ability can be develop to it's highest peak. If you think academically you're average is because you choose to stay average. My first jamb i scored 166 and i went for remedial studies, rewrite jamb and i applied EEE. Result came out and I scored 190 and i was given admission. 2 years into the course l, i realize that the employment rate in engineering is very low and i no want turn secondary school teacher so i decided to study pharmacy, i applied jamb again and I scored 273, in putme i score 253. The score no surprise me cause i know the effort i put in to studying. God no shame me and i was given the admission like magic . Now am studying pharmacy, am suppose to be in 300L by now but u know watsup na. Anyway don't underrate ur intelligence, it can be developed. Choose any f**kin course you want and work for it . I promise you that you will get what you want. Have a growth mindset. This is inspiring. I don't have a defeatist mindset. I'm just being realistic. Truth is, we have people who wrote JAMB several times and never made up to 200. All beings are not created equal. Some people are really not brilliant, they are way below average. Telling such individuals to keep writing JAMB in pursuit of Law, Medicine, Pharmacy will be a bad advice where there are alternatives. |

Eyisfun3: My dear is just about your personal belief don't let anyone bring you down. We still have people who studied what he listed and are still not doing well in does field. Have faith that you we be among those that will do well in your chosen career . Economics is not a bad course at all because am a living testimony. You are right. Let me say again, I never said anyone should not study a course they like, I said likeness shouldn't be the only and main reason to study any courses. Marketability of the course should be the main reason. I didn't label economics bad or not marketable. I only said before you choose it (or any course) , check if graduates of the particular course are getting employment in your immediate environment. That is a great determinant and should be considered before studying any course. |

iPrevail: I lost my Dad the week I was supposed to deliver my project to the Lecturer in charge.
I was traumatized and torn apart by his death. Worst part... I was barely halfway through the project and was already out of time..
Thought if I approached my Lecturer and told him my plight I might get an extension or waiver of some sort.
These were his exact words... "Your Dad is dead? So what's my business?". He went on to express in very clear terms how he didn't give a sh!t and how I wouldn't graduate if I didn't submit the project to him within the stipulated time.
... Well, I didn't graduate.
But I know one day I'll meet that fool again, this time he'll be old and frail.. And I'll make sure he pays for his many sins. This is bad! I'm still waiting for the day I'll meet my project supervisor as well, I will shock that guy! |

kkins25: so i blew 50% of my account yesterday and took it back to 40%. from my observations, a 100$ account doesn't give much room for being flexible in the markets since my SL has to always be tight. Nothing were wrong with my predictions of the direction of the market as i did my best to stick to the trend, but my next goal is to learn how to "enter" the market. it also amazes me how the pros in the house, pipsbaskets, meshpips, pipnator, saxy4c are able to keep track of a long list of trades. i often forget which trade setups i have prepared and have to start checking charts one by one. remarkable!! This is why we have micro accounts. If you are trading with anything less than $1,000 you should use micro account. I remember when I was learning at babypips, the instructor said you shouldn't ever think of trading live if you don't have upto $1,000. But these days, micro/nano/cent account came to the rescue. Sorry about your loss. |

I hope the jambites are seeing this.
By the time you graduate and you don't have a job, people will even blame you for being jobless. Most of the time it will be people who had more opportunities. Let's face it, people don't have equal opportunities.
Take for example I was able to get a job that paid me N24, 000 monthly as a jambite (and a teenager) working as a receptionist. My friends who went into hard labor needed to do 10x of what I did to make that in a month. Mind you, there was a time we had AC in the reception.
How many people got that opportunity. Just few.
While I was serving, one of my colleagues was able to buy a job at a local government in Aba with over N200, 000. How many graduates who graduated recently even have that in their account? I do not.
If you are reading as a jambite, please, learn a skill now. When you graduate you'll most likely be responsible for yourself. |
