To be honest it's really something that one has to be intentional about
I have some tips for you
List out like 3 to 4 schools you'll like to explore
Now go through your department of choices website
Study their selection notice pattern (time of selection and requirements)
With this you should be able to apply when they put their notice out
Honestly.

My GCUB, I listed out 5 schools I wanted from different parts of the country. Then I went to the departments I wanted and searched for the research projects their professors were working on and I patterned my essays towards them. On 3 occasions I message some professors because I couldn't find the links I wanted and 2 replied. I translated 2 of the 5 essays to portuguese and I proof read all the essays at least twice.

Even with all these, I know nothing is guaranteed. cheesy They don't owe me a scholarship, we can only hope for the best.

My only regret is that I could have finished writing the essays even before the call for application, that way, I would have had more time to prepare.

Lol.
The religious mind is too opaque to understand and and appreciate artistic expression.
The question is: why are peactioners of religion always so sensitive and nervous around art and artistic expression?
They are sensitive and nervous around philosophical questions and expression.
They are sensitive and nervous about scientific inquiries and expression of scientific knowledge.

Religion, itself, is the real mocker of the human intellect and artistic expression.
You can dislike religion. That's fine but there is nothing artistic about that shit

At my job I hold the title of senior dev. To me Chile is better than all of Europe.
This is one thing I noticed with dev jobs abroad.

They don't hoard the senior dev title.

I saw a job ad for a senior nextjs developer and the requirements was <= 4 years of experience with js and React/NextJs stack.

In Nigeria they still consider that entry/junior level.

As long as you are in the teaching line, your income won't really change.
This is what they don't understand.

Teaching is meant to make you poor and dependent for life. There are few exceptions tho.

What she needs is a change in career.

Pick up something profitable, learn it, master it. Do it. If you have to go study more, please do it because it will pay off.

She's even in Lagos. All she needs to do is go to hotjobsinnigeria and apply to jobs for 6 months. She'll get a good job I can guarantee that.

I think that is pounds.

Naira is really useless. Anyone who cares about their future should be looking into how they can earn in hard currencies, it does not matter if the journey will take years.

This country may never get better.

I see. cheesy

That's the easiest way a young person can make tons of money. Not saying it's easy, to me it's the easiest of them all.

Have you considered trading foreign exchange too? These days now, we have a lot of proprietary trading firms and with less than USD2K, you could be USD1m funded. Since you plan is a long term one. I think you should put that into consideration.

Men 6 days to when I actually left Nigeria. I left Nigeria on the 31st of July and landed Chile on the 2nd of August and I can say coming to Chile has been the second best decision I have made in life. The first best decision was learning to code back in 2020 during covid and that single act has paid for itself over and over again in multiples. Gave me a great life in Nigeria and giving me a super great life here too.

I am officially what you would call an overemployed software engineer. Received my second contract from my second job today. I am waiting on my third contract from a Chilean multinational. With these 3 jobs my yearly income is very close to six figures in USD. Extremely very close. Once all 3 have been confirmed, I will just delete my LinkedIn profile and grind for the next 3 years. My monthly expenses doesn't exceed 300 USD grin grin grin
Doings!

Congratulations man!

I'm curious tho. Why the need to be frugal?

With the way you are going, I see you having all those insane T & C like those blind guys.
