OP loose guard big time. You asked very salient questions in your earliest response. So no gen and OP would buy gen for the "dev"? Maybe even buy a new Macbook cos "dev" needs the latest one to be able to deliver the work.

This is essentially a freelance gig. You come to work with all your tools and bill the client for your time and any licenses required. No way I am providing a prospective freelancer data to join a meeting where we discuss my requirements. If you cannot join at your own cost, that already makes my screening easier
Okay. So what would you say about companies that give out laptops and accessories to employees. Some provide accommodation and lunch as perks.

Some artisans would charge you for transport to buy materials to fix your house. In Nigeria, some medical practitioners would ask you to buy syringe and gloves.

The devs that you are referring to would normally not take this kind of clients.

So, the clients have no other choice than to go with upcoming devs. No biggie here. Everyone was upcoming at one point.

I think it's just business gone wrong, it could happen to anyone or in another field.

Yeah, Brave browser seems to be dealing with YouTube ads fairly well at the moment. They (Brave) have been dodgy in the past so I'm personally wary of them. I agree that Google and big tech collect personal data. Which would you prefer, a known Big tech collecting your personal data, or an unknown rogue collecting that same data?
Honestly, the latter.

The devil you know is better than the angel you don't know. cheesy

Personally, I'd rather be betrayed by someone I don't trust.

Your grammar is indeed poor.

You need to learn how to be articulate.

You should consider cursing and insult nuclear weapon. Never take it to a fist fight.

They are not free. If you are watching using free links, you are paying with your data. Those sites are littered with ads and viruses that you don't see. That's how you pay the providers of the so-called free links.
I found Brave browser browser and it stops so many nonsense for me.

I can play YouTube music free with ads and also enjoy YouTube without ads.

Besides, big tech companies sell users data too. For instance, Google still collect your data in incognito mode.

To me, they are the same thing. It's just a matter of choosing your poison.

There are risks to doing business. Just consider this one of them.

The fact that you were willing to part with data money shows seriousness on your part.

The guy should have used that to level up.

It's his loss tho. He just lost a paying client.

It's like throwing money away on his own part.

They were saying it was the marketers the other day.

I never supported removal of subsidy and never will even if Jesus were the president of Nigeria.

Turns out that subsidy is good. Of course it's great if you really understand it and are not political. But it's the barren NNPC that are behind the rot in the system. I'm not even excusing the clueless FG and heartless marketers.

In another news, one country in south America is subsidizing SMEs by giving out free products.

Tensa is one of those guys that has de marketed himself for reasons I don't understand.

The guy is actually a fine boy by Nigeria or Africa standard.

I'm sure Gerrard59 is also not bad looking too. What I don't understand is how they would tag themselves ugly.

There's no difference between the two pay but I would advice you go to Port Harcourt.

It's expensive quite alright but there are more jobs there.

If you can endure and are strategic, within a year you could get a better job.

There was a time Liverpool senior team were playing FIFA Club World Cup and they also has a carabao Match. Club World Cup was more important so they fielded their U21 against Aston Villa's Senior Team.

People had hopes, just like this. They thought the U21 would perform magic just like this because Liverpool was in the form of their life that year.

Men and brethren, the match ended 5 - 0 in favor of Aston Villa. cheesy

Do whatever you want with that info.

Like I said, I don't argue much I just drop infor.

Distance is no barrier, you can as well fomat your CV and apply from wherever you are to UK tech jobs.

Moreover I said I just told u not only my experience but experience of others.. I gave one example of a Bangladesh with two years experience in home country and an Msc in same field from UK universities here..

I had rather learn carpentry, wood joinry, plumbing etc and still make far money than the so called IT job. secure good sponsorship than using 2 to 3 years to hunt for IT jobs
I'm not doubting your experience but I'd like you to answer my questions you've been avoiding.

IT jobs in UK is a tough industry and without demonstrable United Kingdom skills it's difficult to land one even those with official qualifications struggle to get.
Ok.

So, what is your tech stack?

Honestly, it seems to me you don't have the experience and knowledge to convince an employer to employ you.

In tech ehn, your certification means close to nothing. Please try to get some real tech knowledge and experience.

Also, Trump is coming, there will be too much jobs to get to everyone. Until then, just hang on.

I still believe that there's something missing. If I was in the UK I will get a very very good paying job with my skillset. If I wanted to even move to Europe I would have done so earlier this year. Something is missing somewhere. If you can't make it in the UK where they speak English and build a tech career then you really can't make it anywhere else to be honest.
Even in Nigeria, you'd still get a tech role and if anyone is strategic enough, they'd still get a well paying tech role as per Nigerian standard with enough patience.

Something is definitely missing.

I said no one interview in respect to data analysis, machine learning. I didn't doubt him because that was the first job I started applying but when I saw no response I turned to care and private security which pay my bill till today
I have no idea of complex IT skills maybe their story will be different.

When we are in Nigeria we create fancy stuff about abroad but on reality the game is different
Machine learning is still very new but people still get Data analysis/science jobs in Nigeria as bad as things are.

How many tech jobs did you applied to?
Have you ever had a tech job or gig while in Nigeria?
What is your tech stack?

Go on youtube an search for answers to interview questions like:

Tell me about yourself? etc.

Make sure you prepare, I would suggest you keep late night for it. Memorize the patterns, make it your own and deliver!

Like I said u might not understand what I wrote.

Do you know hundreds if not thousands of graduates that comes out of this foreign universities with MSC in data science, machine learning etc with years of experience?

I have a friend from Bangladesh we were discussing last month, he acquired Msc in machine learning. Having solid 2 years experience back home in same industry. No one interview. Currently he said his wife secured a care sponsorship so it's on the wife visa.

Once u lack UK experience in certain field then getting hired becomes issue.
Help me understand.

Not one interview?

Even as bad as nigeria is, if you apply to 30 tech jobs, I can guarantee 3 interviews minimum and UK has more tech jobs than Nigeria. They are there on Linkedin, Indeed and other job board.

So how is a person in UK not able to land one single interview?

I'm just curios o. I am not challenging what you said.
