If you generously dash Peter Obi all of Tinubu's Rivers vote 200k Tinubu still leads Atiku with over 1.6m votes
Dash Peter Obi all of Tinubu's 572k Lagos vote plus 200k Rivers vote and let's assume Tinubu had zero votes in Rivers and Lagos.. Tinubu still leads with over 1m votes
North plays a major role in who governs Nigeria
.
Please just shut the fck up. The discrepancies in Rivers’ State result is enough to nullify the total outcome of the elections, if duely proven in court( which of course is glaring). What Peter OBI is challenging in court is not just a matter of numbers but of pedigree and trust in a supposedly democratic process. He doesn’t have to prove INEC rigged in all the States. Proving so with just one State, invalidates the overall outcome. Wonder how you guys stupidly support retrogression out of tribal and religious sentiments.
On May 13, 2023, the news of the death of veteran actor, Saint Obi, whose real name is Obinna Nwafor, swept across the entertainment landscape.
Since his demise, many have taken to social media to express their condolences to the family and share their feelings of grief. Despite the loss, Obi's legacy lives on in his art, where he poured his heart and soul into his creations.
The actor, who was a successful on-screen legend, made childhood for many of us notable by presenting eccentric performances whenever he had the chance.
Known as the action movie star of his era, he was born on November 16, 1965, in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Obi began his acting career in the late 1990s and quickly became a household name due to his exceptional talent and good looks.
Before his demise, he appeared in numerous Nollywood films, but here are five of the most notable films that made him a force to be remembered forever.
1. Candle Light (1998) Saint Obi's breakthrough role came in the film Candle Light, directed by Chico Ejiro. The film featured the actor star as one of the male leads alongside other talents but he shines through, earning him a spot in other movies. The film was a massive success and is still considered a classic in Nollywood.
2. State of Emergency (2000) Saint Obi appeared in the film State of Emergency, which Teco Benson directed. It is a Nigerian action movie about vengeful former soldiers who hold government ministers hostage for a set of demands. Obi's performance in the film earned him more acclaim and helped solidify his status as a leading actor in Nollywood.
3. Sakobi, the Serpent Girl (2001) The movie stars Obi and Susan Patrick, with direction by Zeb Ejiro. The plot revolves around a man named Francis, who is punished with a short lifespan of wealth after a plot to use his daughter as a ritual sacrifice fails. He also falls in love with a snake girl named Sakobi who turns his life upside down.
4. Wanted Alive (2001) In the 2001 movie directed by Chico Ejiro, Obi plays the leader of a criminal gang who's trying to get out of a life of crime. The film stars other action stars like Hanks Anuku, Jerry Amilo, Paul Obazele, Emeka Enyiocha, and Tuvi James. It is also one of the many films that made the audience fall in love with the Nigerian James Bond, Saint Obi.
5.Festival of Fire (2002) The on-screen legend also showcased his talent in this all-time classic directed by Chico Ejiro. The movie tells the story of a village that sacrificed human beings until the involvement of the church and Christianity.
First knew this guy on the Candlelight Soap where Charles Okafor and Kate Henshaw starred as well. TJ and Kenny. Having this nostalgic feeling right now. May his soul rest in peace.
xpressionx: Am sure of endorsement deals waiting for her at the end of the tunnel.
I spoke with my friend who is a sales executive in one of Nigeria's biggest consumer brands and he told me that they are considering a package for her.
BTW
I have been on nairaland since 2012,lost my first account, opened this in 2016,I have not been someone who is ethnically biased. But this election thought me otherwise.
Just see what those who accuse other tribes of tribalism and hate are doing to Former record holder that Hilda Baci is trying to break.
They went to insult her on her page.
Bro, an average Nigerian is a threat to civil order and development.
Is still better than staying with a murder, woman beater and a rapist all in the name of marriage.
Do you even have any idea of what these women went through in the hands of their monster husbands before they quit the marriage . Indeed it’s an End of an Error.
You men are really disgusting!!
Tell your unmarried sisters and friends never to take the "for better or worse" vow, if they can't withstand life threatening pressures in marriage. Its not the men factor or women factor. Its a personality thing. Most ladies today drop their standards for money. The men ditch character building and do abominations for money. At the end you have a full grown man with terrible vices and much money, marrying a woman who's dropped her sense of virtue for the value of that money. Sadly that's the times we're in. If you try to groom a male child today to have ideal values, waywarders will call him a simp. Money is the only validation they know. The problem gets worse, cos money takes the shape of the character possessing it at any time. A rich robber is certainly a generational threat to a society's future, e.g Tinubu. Now most female folks today love short cuts and hate due processes. An average lady today prefers using 48 hours on her looks to get an advantage in 5 minutes, than 1 week of research and hardwork to fetch same results in 1 month. This may sound silly, but that's how we got here; entitlement mindsets. And even some hardworking ladies who earn from their sweat in a honest proper way, develop this competitive tendencies to offset or challenge the traditional men's role and stance. This feminist mindset. So sad.
EBMedia: Kidnappers Kill Woman As She Begs To Be Killed Instead Of Her Daughter-In-Law (Photo)
A Nigerian man, Grace John Zomo, has paid tribute to his aunt who was killed by kidnappers in Kaduna State, IGBERETV reports.
The woman alongside her only daughter and daughter-in-law were kidnapped by bandits in Sabon Iche community, Kargarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State on February 9, 2023.
Taking to Facebook on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 14, Mr. Zomo disclosed that his aunt sacrificed her life for her daughter-in-law's.
According to him, the kidnappers wanted to kill her daughter-in-law to show the family how serious they were with the ransom demand but the deceased pleaded to be killed instead of the daughter-in-law.
Any of the daughter in-laws who, after now, for any reason, opt for divorce from this family, automatically bear the weight of mama's blooded sacrifice.
ChizzyBuna: werey no go christ emBassy healing school werey no go holy mountain go pray and fast for days Him leave 9ja fake men of God, run go meet oyinbo the gods of science
werey don go uk hospital go collect better treatment come dey say "pastor oyedepo spoke to my life"

This looks like trans generational bitterness in the blood 🩸 line. You need help before it becomes suicidal.
JoeEeL: Time to at least promote the originality of being african and where u come from, u con go dey bear foreign name 'hilda'.
Some of these people and their lack of originality enh... unappealing!
How many white woman u don see dey bear 'Tayo', 'Idonrenyin' or 'Ezinne'?
Black people, make una just dey get sense and have some modicum of self-respect.
See how your arrogance helps you publicize your absolute foolishness without shame. Someone chooses to name his daughter for reasons best known to him. It could be from situations, passion, spiritual inclinations or many other reasons, and you’re here forming “I know my history” nonsense. Must you be slapped on the head with surgical tools before you’ll understand that names connote parental signatures and connections rather than the trash you posted up there? The Bible said God created everything and saw that it was good. But you guys sometimes make me wonder if Gawd created some people to be potentially stupid.
omoredia: The colonialist do not want Nigeria to stand on its feet.
U can never be collecting and become better than the giver. If aid could help anybody it would have helped africa since. We need to stop this beggar mentality to rise!
Teach me to fish and stop giving me fish to eat everyday
Go read history or go lick lollipop. You are not ripe for this discussion.
Na you come ripe abi?
I think you're being deceived by the fact that most of your post they hit NL FP, coupled with the fact say we get dumb mods here. So you pride yourself as knowledgeable. Its a delusion you will never love to break out from.
SeriouslySense: how did south Africa, drag itself into this. Don't they notice how India, plays both sides.
While they dish out Xenophobia to their fellow Africans, they want to get back at the West for being colonized. They think they know their history better than anyone else. SA with a Dutch- helped economy, feels equal to the task. A typical black man doesn't know what his problem is and that is his real problem.
TheDarkHorse: Ukraine is just unnecessarily stubborn... Simply go to your elder brother which is Russia and apologize. What's there feeling James Bond and risking the lives of Ukrainians due to egotistical and self-deluded attitudes...... kpọmkpi joor
GENES11S: You are probably not a science student. radiometric dating can easily estimate how long a Rock has being in existence.
Why you answer am?
He doesn't need to be a science student to have an idea. He has internet in his palms, probably via an expensive IPhone. Stupidity for nairalaland no be here.
onadana: No be only 4billion,just be giving numbers anyhow.Oloshi.
For your mind them be like INEC, wey give Tinubu numbers anyhow. How come you come believe say Na 24 hours make a day. Why you dey use clock check time? Oya go and look for the meaning of the word fossils and then come back and insult me. Some of una eh, e be like say the more una dey use smartphone the more una mumu dey grow.
tinsel: From the above, we can see that Obi and Atiku have no case in the tribunal. What they are doing is a mere waste of time and probably to continue giving their supporters hope especially the noisy Obidients.
So you're proud that your country, after how many years of democracy, can't carry out modern, transparent electoral procedures like other civilized countries, abi? To intentionally turn off the light of progress and development to your land because you want to rob the people in darkness. This your witchcraft tie gele o. Later some excellent fools will come up here to blame the West for for their national miseries.
Nigerian superstar Burna Boy made it to the frontlines of blogs again over his Met Gala experience.
A video captured the moment when an Arise TV reporter tried to interview him on the red carpet, but his attention was called from inside, and he could not spare a second for them
In the clip that has gone viral, Burna was seen with the British-Nigerian rapper Skepta as they both walked up the Met Gala red carpet and granted a couple of interviews until, when it got to the turn of the Arise TV crew, a white man and a lady walked up to them to request his attention inside.
However, the Arise TV reporter persisted by calling for his attention; Burna Boy replied and pleaded that he needed to go inside at that instant
For anyone who is interested in moving Nigeria forward, Arise TV is far more of greater benefits to a struggling system than Burna boy
victorVIC1: I have a male kid that is about 3 years old and I recently observed that a particular kid in the compound that is 2 months older than him always attempt to bully him at sight.
The few times this have happened in my presence, I restrained my son from retaliating cos the boy in question is autistic. Though my wife also informed me, there was a day my son fought back and the boy stopped his bullying attempt for a while afterwards.
This morning my son was about to leave for school. Immediately he came out of the apartment, the boy ran towards him and hit him. Once more, I stopped my son from hitting him back but this time his mum (my neighbour) experienced the scenario and only made a remark to the boy to stop looking for trouble. I felt she made the remark just to create an impression that she was concerned.
I've been feeling so uneasy about this since morning and this is obviously a bullying case and I'm subtly training my kid to tolerate it. Hence, I've concluded that the next time such will happen, I will ask my boy to fight back.
Just to have your opinion on this matter, is fighting back the best approach in this situation putting into consideration the health condition of the bully ?
If I were you I won't encourage my son to hit back. They are just kids. Don't feed his mind with the adults' pill. There are other ways to go around that.
Wawelexy: I can relate to that number 4, it can be very awkward, most especially in an office settings... Both of you will be careful on how you drop your next atomic bomb, trying to avoid the centre of the WC so as not to make sound? Worst part is if your stuff smells badly and it's only a tiny wall that parted the rest room and a office filled with female colleagues.... Lol..
Baba I remembered a long time ago, back in school as a fresher, we visited a friend's aunt who had very beautiful daughters. We spent two weeks there since school was on a break. The daughters were well cultured I never see. They were damn wealthy yet didn't have a house help. They cleaned the whole house by themselves, including the visitor's toilet and room. We were only allowed to water the garden or clean up the cars, about 4 and nothing else. We weren't allowed to do internal chores. I used the toilet on one occasion and struggled with flushing. Everything flush remain one black long shyte wey balance like eifel tower. I flushed and waited. Flushed again, still no success. They only had a shower there. No bathtub, no pail. Baba na so I use my left hand push the demon inside, down the toilet chamber. I gave it one more flush and my predicament was over. I couldn't imagine leaving that stuff for any of those fine girls to come and see. Shame for kill me.
