Nigerian accent is the sexiest in the world - Foreign Lady
Before any tribalist comes up here to take undue credits for nothing, lemme say this. I've met several foreigners who really love the sound and feel of pigin English. The way mix makes them feel like they understand you one moment and then the next minute they're hearing something unusual. I've been told this a couple of times. Pigin affects our accent even after we go through school. It gives the natural Nigerian feel. Although we as Nigerians may easily detect tribal differences from the tones, a foreigner would find it less different or the same. If at all any tribe is to take the credit for this, then we'll give it to the ethnic groups that made up the former Bendel State. I learnt that's where pigin was born.
9jatriot: Nice. I like your honest response. Let me share with you how I also deal with my kid on this kind of matter. My kid's teachers are in support of PO, naturally, they have skewed the minds of the innocent kids to also like PO. I would have preferred if the teachers just stuck to the topic the way your wife does, but they are humans and they kind of have informal conversations with the kids, I believe it helps with the kid's confidence with having such discussions. So I do not intend to interfere even though the lining is different from my own political lining.
The closest I have come to antagonizing that opinion is probably ask, what Tinubu may have done to them. Right now, my kids do not even know who I support, forget all the noise some of us make on SM, if all ends here.
I was happy when the kid was asking the other day, this one everyone is condemning Russia against Ukraine, Ukraine must have done something that made Russia start attacking them. My response was "good question". I could have once again imposed my position on the child, but I have so far resisted the urge to indoctrinate.
Lol. My wife, I think, is of same giving as you on this. She always tell me to let kids be kids. There are certain issues that my kids have a mind of their own. Yeah. Something happend some time ago and my wife said to her daughter 'listen to daddy. He is always right.' I was shocked when her brother said, ' but dad is human'. I froze on the streering to look at my wife. It was later after that evening she told me, that she had failed to do something herself sometime ago. Something she always instruct them to do and was asked by her son how come she forgot. And she replied 'because I am human'.
You know, even though kids will always be kids, some come with minds way smarter than their ages. I treat them differently.
Zxcvbnmghtr: *THE LP/OBI DRAMA* Out of a total of 176,000 polling units, you provided only 46,000 polling agents. (This means you were not present, and have no evidence in 130,000 Polling Units nationwide, and you imagine that 46,000 is greater than and will upturn 130,000)
You listed a 50 man witnesses. You presented only 5 (with one week to go).
The 5 presented are: 1. An International Data Analyst 2. A Channels TV Staff 3. A Professor in Mathematics 4. An Arise Tv Staff 5. An AIT Staff
There is not a single person (amongst LP witnesses who is directly) connected to the election you are contesting its result.
All are busy body third party hearsay witnesses (none is an eye witness with primary source or evidence).
What do you think these witnesses will amount to?
People testifying as witnesses to an election (in which they were not present but) they participated in only on TV set are all you have and rely on.
Ok naaa.
Why re you making a fool of yoursel na? All LP needs is just to prove glaringly that INEC distorted actual results in favor of Tinubu. Okpari. Although some of una sef, even if them catch Tinubu live under CCtv camera as e dey steal fish for Hilda Baci pot, una go still defend am say na 'doctored' live video. That's the level of insanity we're facing here.
9jatriot: From the question you kid asked, I do not believe that this is how you told the story to your kids and I will tell you why.
From the story you gave, the teacher stopped recording at some point. That means the teacher not recording could have affected both Mensah and Marvis. Knowing how innocent kids are, he/she probably would have asked "Did he go to wie wie?" Because if the story was as innocent as you told it here, there is nothing about not writing on the notice board that seems to suggest that he was either in favor or Mensah or Marvis.
Of course the story you your kid told was skewed towards your own political lining, that was why he asked if he was friends with Mensah.
You seem right though. My kids are aware that the Nigerian system is corrupt. They see how police men on the road get 'beneficial' handshakes. They know its bribery. Their debates and quizzes cross my desk, and yeah I give them answers to questions. Their mum doesn't discuss politics with them at that level. She only thinks what they have to know is, their current president, states and capital, cultural heritage, obligations, arms of government and other basic stuff. These guys ask me questions I couldn't ask my parents. Truth is, if I shut them up, they'll get answers elsewhere. You're right about the skewed opinion. They mostly take what I give them, but as they grow, trust me their opinions do too.
9jatriot: Perhaps someone could provide an explanation regarding this matter. How do any of these factors prove that Obi won the election?
His argument seems to suggest that if the results were not uploaded to iREV, the entire election should be canceled in order for his line of reasoning to make sense. However, I am trying to understand the basis of his argument, which implies that everything went well until the uploading process, without any indication of altered results in those units. He is solely relying on the fact that the results did not upload to claim victory.
I have mentioned before that Obi, along with his lawyers and associates, is aware that he did not win, which is why he is not even attempting to demonstrate his victory and is solely focusing on the issue of iREV not functioning properly.
Nonetheless, INEC should provide a proper explanation as to why that aspect did not work.
Its one thing to be able to read. Its another to be able to comprehend. Now I know you have both abilities, but some destructive forces; prejudice and tribal sentiment, keeps pitting you against a basic truth.
The issue is transparency. That is why iRev was put in place. On how it worked well for others but one, is a ridiculous miracle.
My kids and I were all watching Mamoud live during the presidential elections. They kept asking why Dino was shouting and I explained to them that- Mensah and Mavis were contesting for the post of the head prefect in school. Two boxes with tags Mavis and Mensah were placed in view of everyone. Everyone were to form a queue to later drop a blue ball each into Mavis' box or a red ball each into Mensah's box, by choice. There also was a white board where a teacher updates figures for everyone to see how many people dropped balls for Mavis and Mensah. Then the teacher updating the scoreboard stopped and left while the voting continued. Students who loved Mavis because of her charm and kindness called on the head teacher to know why the figures on the board were no longer updated. They were ignored... My son immediately asked me if the head teacher is a friend to Mensah's father or if Mensah's father is very rich. I said yes and he smiled and said Mensah will likely win and probably win again if the event was repeated as long as the head teacher remains in charge of the process. Days later it turned out my boy was right. My baby girl was just frowning and shouting its not fair. Their mum always tell me to keep them off politics, but I can't.
****
I come back here and see full grown adults killing simple reasoning and looking stupid for tribal sentiments. Better free yourself.
This same man wey Fulani herdsmen murder him people upandan. Prosecution is all he gets after calling out for help. Na okpolo eyes dey show himself so, on top person seat wey them permit am to use for few weeks.
INEC does not have any special internet network...they use what is on ground. And beyond our cities, internet is bad, very bad.
(I've even tried it, if I am on a long journey as a passenger, after passing a certain limit, I cannot browse on my android).
BVAS was not going to work very well. Anyway, as time goes on....
Please just shut up! Listen to yourself when you talk. INEC used same server for those results. Glitches or downtimes would have affected all categories transmitted via that server. But here certain category uploaded successfully and certain did not. Glitches in network won't respect certain categories over the others. The glitches would have cross hampered the senatorial and reps result as well. But here is an intelligent selection, not a random one. ..and you come up here to emphasize stupidity, like writerNg, freeStuffNg, lhordspy, pansophist, seunmsg.

saweide: Pls something is really bothering my mind and I pray I will find good advice here.
I reside in Port-Harcourt about 1 and half years ago Iost my cousin. He died of heart attack. After his death, his wife has been getting closer to me, always calling me and visiting me and am still single. I have had failed relationships in the past. I have been so unlucky with the kind of ladies I met. They are always violent and disrespectful which I dislike so much.
But during my cousins lifetime, she was so good, cool and caring to my cousin and they never had any misunderstanding and they married for just 6 years here in Port Harcourt before he died and they never had a child due to infertility on the side of the cousin. But now everyone like friends and family knows me and scared if I should make advances to her if they won't be saying things against me or should I just forget and look for another lady to marry.
Pls i need ur serious advise. She has fallen in love with me already.
Does she still bear your late cousin's name or not. If she still bears the name, is it same as your family name? This isn't uncle Laban, Jacob and Rachael's era. This is the 21st century. That lady is still within your family circle. She's best fit for someone outside that circle. For the sake of sanity and chastity, I'll suggest you let her alone. Whether you don even begin dey nack her, well, Gawd airpus. But if na marriage, abeg no reason am. Always check the fruit that drops directly at your feet while standing under a tree. It could seem like a free fresh gift from above, when actually its a left over from the birds that betrays your dignity.
patrickmuf: It's terrible to see different high courts pronouncing conflicting judgments for the same case. One would think that once a court of the same jurisdiction deals with a case, another court of similar jurisdiction should not entertain the case but it is not the case here, a federal high court in Lagos will say A today and tomorrow another federal high court in Calabar will say B for the same case.
I believe it is what Tinubu alluded to but see how people are attempting to spin his comment.
Don't defend Tinubu. We all know how to read and comprehend. How can a court's ruling become illegal? Does Tinubu now interpret the law?
“...It has become imperative to state here that the unnecessary illegal orders issued to truncate or abridge democracy will no longer be tolerated.”
Now here is it. Read between the lines.
How can Tinubu explain court orders that truncate democracy, when he's already flouting court orders by using DSS to witch hunt Emefiele?
What is Tinubu's meaning of democracy? Did he mean to say his ambitions? Because last I checked he employed the most undemocratic maneuvers to grab that position.
Tinubu is subtly telling Nigerians that he'll only obey court orders when it suits him. That also means he'll undermine the Judiciary's effort to fault the electoral process that ushered him into power.
Now this is Buhari reloaded. Una never see anything. Awon 'the government will favor my family' crew. Una go hear am.
Ahmed0336: These celebrities doing weird things just to trend.
He's not doing it to trend. It has occultic connotations, in sync with whatever he's into. These guys don't just do things for nothing. Sold out souls.
Nice2023: I don't think some men here would take this, there is a growing trend among Nigerian men of today.
And that trend is lazying around, leaving all serious domestic responsibilities for women to carry. Go to every streets in Nigeria now,u will see men,I mean married men doing virtually nothing and feeling good about their new found life, that is,not working and not earning any form of income and wouldn't like to learn any form of trade.
The agonising part is that, they now rely on what the woman or their wives rake in just to survive. Many women especially the married ones are now competing with young girls in having boyfriends all around just for the money to take care of one lazy bunch at home.
Men,rise up to the occasion and stop killing your wives with over work and help them to grow and make them better wives devoid of infidelity. It is ur actions that is pushing ur wives outside.
Stop wasting the little u have on betnaija shops and expect nothing back because u are simply wasting away.
Some of u here may not find this one easy but that is the truth.
The survival curve gets steeper with growing economic woes, my friend. You barely find a Nigerian man who's lazy. He's either working to earn via vices or via healthy sacrifices. That's why we talk about a working system, urging men to push for ideal leaders based on ideal values, but most will rather chose by tribal sentiments than anything else and end up losing their women to few cabals with money bags. Their women would then turn around to describe them as lazy. An average Nigerian man has no benefit from his government. Subsidy seemed to be one, but is gone. Just like children turn to parents, most women turn to their men. The men in turn, turn to who?
ogbiwa: A security guard killed this venomous viper in a bush around an area I visited, and held it by the neck while the snake was still moving and with the head still intact, to look for buyers. When I screamed at him he claimed it was a non venomous python and that someone was coming to buy it for 7k and the person needed the snake whole with the head still intact (likely for diabolical use). When I told him that a scratch from this snake's fangs would kill him if not treated quickly, he dropped the snake before I snapped it. The snake was even still moving on the floor! The risks people take.
o123456789: Cyber security is your best bet when it comes to choosing the best career path in technology.
When some people hear the word cyber security what comes into their mind is how to develop antivirus or firewall software and you must be a programmer before you can qualify for a job role in cyber security, but are these assumptions true? the answer is capital no. Cyber security is one of the easiest career to pursue in technology, you don't need a degree to work as a cyber security person, what you need is just the right skills, unlike other jobs in which without certificate you cannot work, no cyber security is not like that, infact despite no certificate is needed you cannot see a quack in cyber security that is working like in other sectors, it is self regulatory, your skills will speak for you, and you cannot be in cyber security and be poor.
ADVANTAGES OF CAREER IN CYBER SECURITY 1. Remote or physical job opportunities. 2. You can own your own business or be employed by organizations. 3. Start up your own business at a very small cost. 4. Earn big salaries. 5. Opportunity to work for multiple companies simultaneously. 6. Work with little or no knowledge of coding/programming. 7. You don't need a degree. Only your skill is needed. 8. You will be a respected hacker etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION Cyber security have so many branches but I will give job description about two branches I love and I have also worked in for a long time. The two branches are (i)Bug bounty hunting, (ii)Cyber threat intelligence.
BUG BOUNTY HUNTING This is the area of cyber security in which you work from anywhere in the world, and your job is to find how a computer, website, database, CCTV, iot etc, can be hacked or manipulated for fraud and you are paid immediately or in a few days, in this job the more bugs/vulnerabilities you submit the more your pay, the least bug/vulnerability is priced at $200. Your employment is 100 percent guaranteed.
CYBER THREAT INTELLIGENCE In this area your job is to get intelligence on cyber criminals for the purpose of knowing there tools and attack methods. This is a very good career path, you can be an expert witness in a case, or you can be hired by an organization to investigate a cyber attack.
**Ayanbe Francis Uzezi is a cyber security expert.

Corridon: Even though uncle Charly is exaggerating things, but millions of Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religion, undoubtedly believed that Peter Obi is the savior Nigeria needs to reach the promised land, but sadly, Tinubu truncated our democracy by stealing the mandate Nigerians freely gave to Obi. But we Nigerians strongly believe it would be retrieved at the appropriate time.
Let's be realistic. When you say Nigerians believe in Peter Obi, you'll need to be specific and precise with adjectival or descriptive phrases like 'smart Nigerians', 'right thinking Nigerians, 'well meaning Nigerians', 'civilized Nigerians', 'sane Nigerians' ... Don't just generalize. Its unfair to box diamonds with limestones together in a single case. These APC rifrafs makes it sound like an insult to be called a Nigerian.
femisplash: The political astuteness of Tinubu's family is second to none. Seyi having a series of meetings with young elected lawmakers is quite remarkable, this family is really prepared for the tasks ahead. Rather than learn to play politics that transcends clannish mindset that has kept you in the wilderness since 1999. With the way Seyi is buijding bridges across party, religious and tribal lines, i won't be surprised if he clinches the Presidential seat before a southeastern does.
I wanted calling you an idiot but discovered its needless to state the obvious, after seeing the combination of the first 4 letters in your moniker.

Illiteracy now runs Nigeria, full scale. The moment you embrace APC, you brain virtually falls off and give up its usefulness to your stomach. That’s when you hear terms like ‘educated morons’. It’s not a tribally derived term. I’m afraid it’s a scientific one. Look at Keyamo as a specimen. Even his family know this wasn’t what his mother actually gave birth to. Veeery stupid set.
Nigerians in shock, as the the Ekiti-based chef, who is trying to break Chef Hilda Baci's unofficial Guinness World Record, for longest cooking by an individual, turned off her gas to pick beans.
Chef Dammy who cooked for over 20 hours, turned off her cooking gas to pick beans before going offline last night.
In the viral video shared on Saturday morning, social media users slammed the chef for turning her gas off to pick out beans that she wants to cook.
A tweep, Dami Dami, wrote in Pidgin English, “You wan break cooking record you dey off gas for 1hr to pick beans. Who no wise na hin fasting dey stress true true.”
Another tweep, Mr. Dapsyn, wrote, “Una no see another record break again than cooking ni? Anyways, Aunty Dami I hear say you off gas to cook pick beans.”
“Why did you buy all the beans” Adefemi questioned.
DAMI, however, wrote, “I heard Bacii never get certified yet If God wanna shame you people make Guinness acknowledge and certified this one before her coz I don’t know why people trying to downplay those guys efforts, picking beans ain’t part of the cooking process?”

Throwback: See the former powerful tyrant that caused immense hardship to Nigerians and refused to obey Supreme Court order on the illegitimacy of the cash reprinting until Buhari denied him.
He was caught trying to escape like a sewage rat.
Power is truly transient.
Talking like a fool.
See the former powerful tyrant that caused immense hardship to Nigerians and refused to obey Supreme Court order on the illegitimacy of the cash reprinting until …
Who is a known tyrant between Buhari and Emefiele? Who has a reputation for flouting court orders without regard for the rule of law? Anyone with a brain knew Emefiele was dancing to Buhari’s dictates. Only in Nigeria, is Justice defined as the punishment of the less influential for the crimes of the powerful. See as una just turn against am, because Tinubu j decide to use am as first case for witch hunting . It’s rather unfortunate for most of you APC dunces that your mindset happen to be your greatest curse.
