https://www.instagram.com/p/Cmwpz6OojL6/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link This is an indication that most divorce cases today are triggered by arrogance and ego to keep up with one's game, social worth or some sort of lifestyles at the expense of integrity to keep the vows made, in solemnity. They break up easily. The late Osinachi of blessed memory died in her marriage and people like this Fancy called her a fool. A young man signs up to join the army, but isn't ready to kill, get bruised or die. The joke is on him. Do I mean one must die in marriage? No. What I'm saying is the vows you exchanged on the altar, ''for better or worse, till death do...'' You think they were just for the Camera and paparazzi? So many women today so excited with weddings but can't keep up with the headaches of marriage, because they have never exercised integrity and discipline in basic things through their growing process. Love has got so many arms that keeps it walking. Integrity is one. Discipline is another. Patience is one. Diligence is another. Humility is one. Commitment is another. Zeal is one. Consistency is another. Jesus said whoever puts his hands in the plough and turns back isn't fit for Heaven. A man or woman who turns back on his promise or vow is never taken serious by anyone, not even God. Marriage is a commitment to defend a cause, insured by a promise. People who value social status and ego, over virtues will always walk out easily. That's how bad it has become. **** For the growing women here, your growing process is a time to build character and virtue. The society is designed in such a way that an average young lady will always get undue favors just because she is who she is. Don't cut corners with your feminine advantage. Most ladies buy positions with their beauty. Get recharge cards for free by command of their feminine grace. Get opportunities presented to them because they have the ideal curves. It's fine but guess what? Such ladies can't stand challenges, especially when it requires them to go through humble processes. They'll quit easily. You can't blame them. They've been using their beauty/sexuality rather than their hands/wisdom all along, to get what they w want. Your best bet in developing a thick skin to weather marriage storms as a young lady now is to go through due processes. Take the queue. Reject offers that could look like favors, that makes you cut corners or shorten learning processes. Take a walk and turn down offers to give you a lift. Get around some elderly women once in a while and try to get along in their company. Most ladies can't handle their mother in-laws because they fail in this respect. Work with your hands and live within your earning capacity. Don't meter your progress based on the favors you get. Do it on the things you've been able to learn and achieve with your hands. The men these days barely work on their character because they know you'll come for them when they have the money. The onus is on you this time. |

We can all see the sizeable representation in many works of life (e.g. sports, education, economy). It's not the qualities of a good person, or a good country. No other country does this except the West. They paint everyone bad that doesn't bow to them, but if you look at those they painted bad, they were the one that helped you the most.

mushroomFarm: Recently I saw this front page post about what it feels like to teach in the United Kingdom. . I recently travelled to Yakutsk, Russia, world's coldest city to study Medicine here at Ammosov North Eastern Federal University, Yakutsk, Russia, for a degree of 'Doctor of Medicine. M.D (yes they don't award MBBS here but MD.) . . As a part time job, I teach English here in Yakutsk and it is a job where demand for native speakers like Africans is very very high. Russians don't speak English but they continue to look for English teachers which makes it a good destination for English speaking Africans like us. . . Teaching here in Russia is completely different from what I read in that post about teaching in the United Kingdom and in this thread, I will tell you everything about it. . . Let me quickly note that, Russians are totally different from what we always read about them. I am a pro western person because my dad studied for his degrees in the USA. I grew up loving the West. I still love them. . But Russians are no monster. There is nothing like Racism here. These people love blacks toooo much! From Moscow to Krasnoyarsk to Yakutsk even while I was the only black man at the entire airports, the attention and love and help everyone offered was amazing!
Russians seem to have this welcoming attitude. It was hard for me to believe they were the same people I used to think, were 'hard' and 'unfriendly' lots of pictures, selfies, there were even these Russian guys that paid $500 for me to have 30 minutes of massage in a massage chair, they bought all sort of foods and even expensive alcohols for me...too bad, I don't take alcohol though. . . Having said these things, I plead with us not to turn this thread into a Russia vs USA thread. . . . So, after I obtained my Visa letter, I approached the Russian embassy, did all my authorization and legalization of documents including the ones I have to do at the ministries of education and foreign affairs. I got my Visa for 119k and everything was over within a week. . . My flight to Abuja was on overland air. It was my first flight. People castigate this airline alot but trust me, they have the best safety records in this country and they are extremely cheap. They have been operating for a long time too and the pilots are extremely experienced. And I love the sound of those props! . . My flight back to Ilorin after obtaining my Visa was also on Overland air. I enjoyed every bit of the experience. I booked my flight to Moscow one month ahead and paid only 268k. I will attach evidence if possible.
Let me also mention that I took off to Moscow from Lagos. My flight to Lagos was on Overland air again. I booked the flight the same morning I left Ilorin...because it was the at the peak of the dollar crisis. Till the very last day in Ilorin, I was still looking for Abokis to buy dollars from.
You must have figured out already that I love overland air. . . My flight to Moscow was to have a stop over in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. On the six hours flight to Ethiopia, Ethiopian air served us three course meals and each meal came with a bottle of wine! . They also served us a three course meal on the trip from Addis Ababa to Moscow, also with wine. From fish to chicken to snacks to rice... That airline is awesome!! I am quiet happy that we have something like that in Africa. . . Ethiopian air hostess are very nice and extremely beautiful. You would be amazed that they are Africans. I met these little kids travelling with their dad to the UK on the flight and they sure made my experience all fun. They never stopped asking questions... .
I was sad for Nigeria when we arrived Ethiopia. It was at night but the so many skyscrapers, the well lighted cities and the hundreds of Ethiopian air jumbo jets at the airport...that country is way ahead. . . The treatment Ethiopian air gave us at their waiting lounge in Addis Ababa was awesome . . On the flight from Ethiopia to Moscow, I was the only black guy on board. This was were my Russian language that I had started learning online before leaving Nigeria started to kick in. Ethiopian air hostess could not communicate with some Russians on board and I was able to do some little translations. . . I noticed our flight was not directly to Moscow. It was diverted through Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran and then to Moscow, perhaps to avoid the Ukraine war zone Cux from the inflight map, flying directly to Moscow will entail passing through the Ukrainian airspace. . . It was a smooth night flight. . . From Domodedovo airport in Moscow, I travelled by taxi to Vnukovo airport. It cost about 33k naira equivalent of the rubles. . Russia is extremely DEVELOPED! Many European cities can't compare to what I saw in Moscow. I used to think Russia is a country that is all focused on making war machines...it is not true. The infrastructures, the houses, the environment...it was like a dream!
From Vnukovo airport, I took another flight to Krasnoyarsk City. And at Krasnoyarsk, I was beginning to feel the extreme cold of Russia . . From Krasnoyarsk, I took another flight to Yakutsk. And it's a white city filled with thick snows. Average daily temperature at this time is minus 40 degrees Celsius and can sometimes deep to minus 60. . University representatives were already waiting for me at Yakutsk airport and they even came with a hot pot of coffee (remember I told you about Russians being extremely nice to foreigners) . . . Now to the pictures. But let me quickly add these points . . 1. Russia have a very serious drug law. If your plan is to snuggle drugs across the continent please don't come to Russia!! . 2. Police here are extremely nice. No one harassed me at the airport, no unnecessary checks. I was never asked to strip, they don't assault your dignity. But when passing through checking machines you have to remove thick clothings like sweaters and coats and gloves too. . 3. Interestingly, some common items like more than 100ml of aerosols or perfumes are not allowed to go with you into the plane (carry on bag) while some things you would think are normal are contrabands in Russia. I had two bottle of perfumes clearly labelled but before I go through each checks, I remove them and declare them to the officers in charge of the checks. They would look at it and asked me to out it into my tray and slide it into the checking machine. Whenever you are travelling abroad maybe not even Russia, if there is any item you are not sure of it's legibility to enter that country or plane, always remove it from your luggage and declare it to the officers before you are checked. This way, if the item is a contraband, they would be sure you are not trying to smuggle it in. . 4. I really wish Nigerian policing system can be like that of Russia. No road blocks, no harassment, they are glad to help. If a police officer finds you shivering outside they may invite you to have hot coffee and warm up in their car! . . 5. THERE IS NO WAR IN RUSSIA! . . . 6. CONTRARY TO POPULAR OPINIONS, RUSSIANS LOVE THE AMERICANS! Yes many Russians want to go to America. Sometimes they even assume all of us blacks are from America and they treat us with love and respect. . 7. Russians are probably the only white race in the world that do not hate black people. . . 8. I know foreigners are being watched but trust me, you are being watched in Nigeria more than in Russia. Contrary to popular opinion, president Vladimir Putin does not 'hunt down' his perceived enemies. People have freedom here but at least 90% of Russians I have met, love him. . . 9. President Vladimir Putin is very friendly to Africans. Russian immigration laws makes it easy for Africans to come study in Russia and when you are here, they don't harass nor bully you and they don't treat you like second class citizens. . . 10. And finally...language is a big barrier in Russia..but their police and immigrations are very friendly. . . . Now to the pictures. (I had to source some pictures from the internet) . The first pictures are Ilorin International airport. Abuja International airport and Lagos international airport. . . I saw shege at Lagos airport where I took off to Moscow. Bribes upon bribes. Nigeria is ruined honestly...everyone kept begging for money. Money that I obtained at an extremely high rate. . . I also had to deposit 400k naira with Ethiopian air before they could let me board Cux I had no return ticket. They refunded the money to me three days after successfully crossing into the Russian Federation. . . In Ethiopia and Russia, nothing like bribery. That is why it felt so weird when the officers are helping you with everything without asking for a Kobo and you can't help it but to keep thanking them. . Having said these things, I plead with us not to turn this thread into a Russia vs USA thread.
but here.. Let me quickly note that, Russians are totally different from what we always read about them. I am a pro western person because my dad studied for his degrees in the USA. I grew up loving the West. I still love them.
you brought the US in, setting the pace for comparisons already. There's this tale about 5 blind men who went to confirm what an elephant looks like. They all used their sense of touch to feel what the elephant looked like at different points. Each touching different parts. They all left with fragmented images of broken truth and delusion. The OP looks like one of them. Compliments of the season folks. ***** And for the records I dislike talking about any of my experiences overseas, cos I know how the average Nigerian idolizes you for what you ain't worth, just because you crossed over. A sick mindset to have, to be honest. Nigeria is my home. It has a sick system. I have a responsibility to make it work. We all have. I and a few friends have decided to work from home during this period to fully participate in the upcoming elections, rather than work on site, that will require being in other continents, but Africa. Background
The Uganda government blocked Facebook after the social media giant deleted hundreds of accounts of National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters it suspected to be fake during the General Election last year.
The NRM is the ruling Party.
There have been several attempts to negotiate the unblocking of Facebook, but without tangible results. Facebook refused to comply with the government demands to restore deleted accounts.
Mr Meddy Kaggwa, the Ag Director of Industry and Content Development at the Government-owned Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) said the negotiations with Facebook need to be handled on a continental level.
“Many of us have recommended that we have to approach them (Facebook) as a continent. …When we speak to Facebook as Africa, Facebook will be keener to listen,” he said.
Mr Kaggwa said currently, they don’t know how much money Facebook makes from Uganda and the social media giant isn’t willing to reveal details.
“In fact, when you tell them to explain the aggregate revenue they earn from Uganda as a country, they will tell you it is negligible,” he said.
Many start-ups and online businesses have suffered since the ban.
Prior to its suspension by government about a year ago, Facebook was the most used social media platform in Uganda. Since then, many users have since quit or use Virtual Private Networks to access the platform. I guess we'll blame the West for this, abi? Myopic leaders. But wait the leaders come from the people, ryt? Then its a mindset problem. |

LesbianBoy: First I want to say congratulations to Argentina but....
Why was Messi given the best player of the tournament instead of Mbappe? Even if it was given to Messi I think it should have been shared with Mbappe! That is 2 best players of the tournament!
Someone said because Messi won the world cup.
Let me remind you all that in 2014 Germany won the world cup yet Messi who didn't win the cup still was given best player of the tournament that year.
This is the reason many people still prefer CR7 because he is not pampered like this. And all his achievements were done with so much hate from even people around. You tried as much as you could to hide your hatred for Messi, but it still shows. Messi is pampered? well last I checked he didn't beg for it. It's about the aura he exudes. Humility, acceptance and inclusiveness. Seeks the glory of the team. Ask Suarez and Neymar. Ronaldo is standoffish, confident, arrogant and a fine boy. Seeks for his self glory first on the pitch. That's what he exudes, he gets similar responses from people. Mbape has a similar CR7 flare that reeks of pride and self glory first. That's what he exudes. That's how people react to him. People know Messi's story. They see his weakness, his foolishness and humilty. They know football is the only thing he derived his essence from, and that is all he's got. They see how he accepts others and makes chances for others to score and take credits for good outcomes too. If you talk of true sportmanship, you know its Messi. So is he pampered? Yes he is. Are you angry as a result of that? Well its your cup of coffee. Did he beg for it. Hell no, he did not. People just see through him for who he is. They know him on and off the pitch. They love his personality. At the end of the day, no one owes you any explanation for showing him so much affection My advice is you just ask God for the grace to deal with this reality, not query it. |

Blakjewelry: Its not just about the chipmaking process but standardisation and patent right. Standardisation has to with international acceptable standards. Most of the chip make in China are mostly for the local market, like take for instance if you buy certain phone from China and you get to Nigeria you might not get 3g, or 4g but it works fine in China. China is a big market so there alot of manufacturers who focus on the local market. Secondly most US people have this unique nature for chasing their dreams until it is realise then it is lock and secure with a patent right, whoever wants to use it have to pay. Take musk and his tesla cars and spacex. Billions has been put into it yet it not every where yet. There guys spending millions and billions to make hydrogen fuel car work but you don't see that in any other place. People risk their time, effort and money for a course the result is what we are seeing. Us should try and relax because these policies might come to bite, plus some of these products are a result research work multiple companies around the world but since a single company is doing the funding, they have sole right. All of these would have been better left unsaid. Being quiet would've been more honourable. |
