The US is a bit like Lagos. Virtually every business has a levelled playing field to hustle and evolve, irrespective of individual origin.

This is not true. Roosevelt wanted to, on his own, but was looking fora reason to get the support and approval of the congress. Of course anyone who fights Britain, fights America directly.
