I don pass this stage bros. You can solve Nigerian problems I can even send you some algorithm manuals which you can read and use. I am only interested in working a big job and earning big money smiley
Lol. You've not gotten to that stage cos you weren't headed in that direction to begin with.
Whichever way, you still get the money you want. Of course getting a big job is fine. Who said anyone shouldn't?
I was only thinking out loud. Didn't mean any harm. Just go for what you want bro. Don't take this personal. Cheers

I like your thought process but this is Nigeria, money is a big problem. You want people to ditch money for passion when they unsure about their next meal or cash for rent ? sad
Nah. I didn't talk about ditching the money. I'm talking about the "drive". It could be money oriented or solution driven. Either way, you'll definitely get rich, but making a difference requires the latter.

Damn tech is so crazy. Even I get shocked of the kind of things I see everyday. Some survey was done on the salaries of Blockchain developers and the least salary came in at 650 USD a month and the highest came in at 30k USD a month.

I thought the 30k USD a month figure was just a lie until someone posted his total compensation in a data structures group I am a member of on Facebook. It came down to 33k USD a month and this person lives in Nigeria. Dropped out of futa after 2 years like has no degree and has been able to achieve this whereas someone with PhD Is teaching for 30k naira a month.

Life no balance o. God, tech is just one crazy field. Its why we should remain humble o cause no matter how big you think you are a ton of people are bigger.
That pay wouldn't fascinate you, if you are result oriented and given to solving problems around you for enhancement and easy living.
That differentiates consumers from producers.
Its high time Nigerian youths took up a course for who they are and what they require to effect a productive environment.., not running after naira bills at the expense of real value, for consumption. This is how our politicians think too. Ex governors wanna be senators for the money attached, not the values to be given.
This could be why we may never have a Silicon Valley in Nigeria, even if we may get to have the highest number of devs in the globe.
The reward that goes with result driven passion is wealth, not just "money". Wealth means your name can raise money for itself.
Come on guys, let's be different.., different from these political errors. Kill this Nigerian bug. It'll take us no where. Individually successful but collectively impoverished, cos everyone is consuming, none contributing.
I don't even know why I'm saying all of these.

Christianity Etc › Re: Deeper Life Lady Lists '20 Facts' About Godly Female Members Of Her Church by Karnice600: 8:19pm On May 26, 2022
flexyrule:
Reminds me of my tender age in Deeper Life Bible Ministry (1994 to 2003).. The best years I can remember....

Heaven was the goal.

Holiness was the watch word.

Evangelism and soul winning souls was our hobby.

Sanctification and the Baptism of the Holy Ghost - Very key!!!

Miss those days at the youth church, youth retreat, December and Easter retreats...

Search the scriptures, PA Kumuyi's sound Bible studies... And many more heavenly experiences.

My favourite hymn used to be:

1 Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus
Daily let me go;
Higher, higher in the school of wisdom,
More of grace to know.

Refrain:
Oh, deeper yet, I pray,
And higher ev'ry day,
And wiser, blessed Lord,
In Thy precious, holy word.

2 Deeper, deeper! blessed Holy Spirit,
Take me deeper still,
Till my life is wholly lost in Jesus,
And His perfect will. [Refrain]

3 Deeper, deeper! tho' it cost hard trials,
Deeper let me go!
Rooted in the holy love of Jesus,
Let me fruitful grow. [Refrain]

4 Deeper, higher, ev'ry day in Jesus,
Till all conflict past,
Finds me conqu’ror, and in His own image
Perfected at last. [Refrain]

Omoh. Deeper Life been sweet die!
Jesus only is our message,
Jesus all our theme shall be;
We will lift up Jesus ever,
Jesus only will we see.
Jesus only, Jesus ever,
Jesus all in all we sing,
Savior, Sanctifier, and Healer,
Glorious Lord and coming King.
2
Jesus only is our Savior,
All our guilt He bore away,
He, our righteousness forever,
All our strength from day to day.
3
Jesus is our Sanctifier,
Saving us from self and sin,
And with all His Spirit’s fulness,
Filling all our hearts within.
4
Jesus only is our Healer,
All our sicknesses He bare,
And His risen life and fulness,
All His members still may share.
5
Jesus only is our Power,
He the gift of Pentecost;
Jesus, breathe Thy pow’r upon us,
Fill us with the Holy Ghost.
6
And for Jesus we are waiting,
List’ning for the Advent Call;
But ’twill still be Jesus only,
Jesus ever, all in all.
Family › Re: My Wife Of Less Than Two Years Says It's Over Between Us by Karnice600:
InsideLife2022:
I have been an active member on this forum for the past eight years. I just created this account to bring this issue to limelight. Good evening gentlemen and ladies. I got married in late 2020. God being merciful, we are blessed with a baby of 5 months. My wife has been giving me attitudes of recent. I have tried to find out what the problem has been, she is not saying anything tangible. I am being confused and depressed. I have been begging her to come back to join me after delivery. She keeps traumazing me emotionally. She just told me our marriage is over. She couldn't say what the problem is.

She has not been taking care of the baby. She was medically advised to stop breastfeeding our baby permanently. Is not that she breastfeeds our baby. My mother in-law and sisters in-law have been complaining about her lack of motherly treats.

They told me she doesn't even know how to take care of the baby. They cannot allow my child to be in her custody because she can't take care of the baby as a mother. She has fought her mother for asking her to leave her house to join her husband. Every member of her family has been asking her what the problem is. She keeps telling them to come and marry me that it's over between us.

I haven't told any of my family members or my friends of what is going on in my marriage. I am a kind of person that do not like involving a third party in my new marriage of lest than two years.

Her family has never supported her actions. Her mom and her siblings have been asking me to come take my wife and baby. But, my wife is not ready to join me. It has been a serious issues in her family house each time they push her to go meet her husband.

Her family has ask me to come with some soldiers or the police to come carry my baby and leave her since she claims she is no longer interested in any marriage. I have been trying my best to make sure my wife never lacked anything during her pregnancy and even after delivery.

My in-laws have been very supportive and good to me. I know they have never and will not support her for her wrong actions and behaviors. My challenge is, my baby is just 5 months and I don't want to take the baby to my parents because of the questions people around will be asking. I don't want to be seen as someone who is separated from his wife. I hate divorce with passion. My wife does not have any concrete reason why she decides to stay off our marriage.

Her family is fully in support of my next actions of going to take my baby. Now, the question is this; is it advisable to keep the baby with me while I employ a nanny to raise the baby with me?

Please and please I need mature and sensible advise.

Earning just north of 700k per month here, and I don't consider myself rich. Comfortable, maybe, but certainly not rich.

The truly rich are those buying #100 million presidential forms like pure water, and even to them, there's someone richer.
Rich is relative, bro.

You can't put Wizkid and C Ronaldo in the same sentence.
Just like you can't put Dangote and Musk in the same context.
With his monthly 500k, that guy can progress through stages of "rich", through strategic planning and investment with time.

I suppose you have no responsibilities?

You will live an average life, yes. But, you can not be called rich.
You can be called rich, but you're not. People don't define if you're rich. They only come to terms with the reality of an obvious result derived from strategic planning. Rich is your net worth; assets and funds, not expenses.
What I'm saying is someone earning that sum can liberate himself from poverty, to becoming rich, with adequate planning and investment. There should be skills to better or gather, business schemes to work on... Unless the only plan on ground na to feed mouths, pay house rents and bills. Fine. Of course that's also another way of living too.

So I was arguing with a friend who stays in the states and he keeps saying I am a rich guy.

Current salary is about 512k per month (take home), and has an annual increment of 15% of your take home. This is aside perks of perdiem anytime I travel outside work base (15k per night).

Anytime he wants me to have minor something done in NG on his bahalf, he expects me to use my money and whenever I ask, he tells me not to complain that I am rich (he knows what I earn), I don't have a problem doing those things for him.

I don't see myself rich and pls guys, what can someone earn in Nigeria to be termed rich. Your opinions will count alot as I still find it hard getting the usual daily stuffs we all use.
I am not married and do not have responsibilities. My mom is a retired govt worker and other siblings are all working.

Cc: seun mynd44 pls help us for more audience and opinions
That's roughly over a thousands dollars in a month.
Well, truth be told. On the Nigerian terrain, its a good pay. Your lifestyle and responsibilities determine your productivity in a net sum.
On the other hand, if you live in the US, that's about or slightly below the monthly earning of an average cleaner, paid on hourly basis. Garbage collectors earn higher.
Also if you're a programmer, then you're under paid.
But since Naija is all messed up, then you're someone's dream to be. Just make the best out of it. Its an offer many will die to grab on this terrain. More grease to your elbow.

I hate it when I see boys with short Nika above there knees and with slippers and to worsting it they carry big iphone.

If seems they spent all their money on the iphone. Some of them cannot even afford a bottle of beer.

They don't spend money on other things other than that iphone thing.

People without the iphone even dress well, spend well and look rich richer. But the iphone is what those boys are using to cover up.
In as much as what one puts on as an adult, should be independent of other's opinions to a certain degree, just take your time to observe the swarms of attackers that came for you when you mentioned those. That's a pointer to where we're heading as a country. That combination is popular among yahoo boys, though other guys have adopted it as well. The IPhone thing is nothing though, its their choice.
I'm glad for my young cousin. He doesn't seem to be moved by all of those. He shocked me. when he told me his observation, that about 80% of Lagos dudes with this demeanor are dumb a**es. I just laff scarra.
Look, just live and let live...but when it comes to choosing your company, let sound judgement lead you.
Food › Re: Cooking Or Eating Out As A Single Person? Which Is More Cost Effective? by Karnice600: 7:12pm On May 25, 2022
ashewoboy:
I'm serious. I'm about to make a decision.
Talking in terms of expenses, home cooking is best. If you feel you need to switch between varieties randomly, cooking still gives the best. If you cook often, you'll know that buying wares in bulk is a life saver.
Back in school, I lived off campus in a rented apartment. I hated the idea of always going to the market. I could easily stroll to next store and get some few grains and snacks, but a girl checked in and changed all those.
She got a little bag of semo and flour on one of her visits. She'll make pancakes in the morning. We take semo at noon,( although I disliked semo and preferred fufu or eba) and take noodles or just snacks for dinner. I started thinking like a family man. I'll patronise one of my aunts friends who sold garri in bags, buy a quarter bag. I did same for beans and rice and I never went hungry for a day. All I had to do was refill my gas can and maybe buy some condiments, curry, spices, salt... Guys would always troop to my domain under hot sun, after lectures to come chaun, not that I had the money. It was just good planning from a girl with a good head and it changed my orientation on this completely.
So its more costly to eat out than "eat in". Why? Cos food vendors make sure they pay themselves for their efforts, for every dish you get. Lastly, you only have a bargaining power in the market, not in a restaurant.
Choice is yours nevertheless.
Nairaland General › Re: 14 Things That Cause Regret At Old Age! by Karnice600: 6:25pm On May 25, 2022
Akinpedia:
When younger we make various choice's without the future in mind. Sometimes those choices bite us in our mid-life. These are some of the things one might regret when they're older.

1. *Marrying the wrong person*

When you're young, check your motives for marrying. Don't marry to copy your peers, or for social standing or out of pressure.

Marry for love and companionship, marry the right person, marry your best friend. For if you marry the wrong person or for the wrong reasons, you will have to put up with that person the rest of your life.

Things might get worse between you two; then depression, physical abuse, affairs, pain, shame, court cases, bitterness will define your mid-life years all because you chose the wrong one.

Things will get worse when children are involved. Make the right choice of a spouse when you are young.

2. *The opportunities you did not seize*

When you are younger many doors will open, you will get many chances. Many young people let these opportunities go because of fear, laziness, or pride; yet well younger and with more energy is the best time to start a venture and a name for yourself.

Some think the opportunities are too big for them. Take advantage of them or one day when you're older you will want to go back and grab those missed chances.

3. *The bridges you burned*

When we are younger, we care little for relationships, what most think about is getting money and moving up the ladder of success at all cost.

Many use and trample on people to progress, they take relationships for granted, messing up bonds, sleeping with people for personal gain.

But these bad actions will catch up with you ahead. When you will realize how empty life is without love and friends. When you will have success but no one around you or no one to trust you.

4. *The child you aborted*

You are a young lady, you get pregnant and you are scared. You take the aborting option quickly thinking of that moment then. But when you are much older, you will look back and wish you kept that baby.

When you will be rich and successful you will wish that child you gave up on would be around to enjoy the fruits of your hard work. Being a single mother doesn't mean you can't make it in life or you can't find a man in future.

5. *The child you rejected*

Young man, you impregnated a woman, she told you she's pregnant with your child. You rejected her and the baby and ran. But years later when you're 50 something, you will wish you were responsible, you will wish you manned up and became a father to that child.

You will see that child excel and become an adult but will have no claim to that grown child who you rejected from the beginning. You will regret being a Dead Beat Dad by choice

6. *The marriage you destroyed*

So you get married to your good fiance; the first months in marriage were good but shortly after, with your money and charm, you started having affairs. You became unfaithful.

Your spouse begged you to stop, your children started hurting, your marriage was collapsing. One day when you are older, it will hit you how foolish you were to destroy the good marriage you had began to build for mere temporary thrills in affairs that did you no good. You will realize the damage you caused to your children and spouse.

7. *The God you disowned*

When you are much older you become wiser, God becomes more real as you see life in a more meaningful way. But don't wait to get older to start enjoying a relationship with God.

Know God when you are young, build your future with God. Don't be a young rebel who runs back to God when age catches up.

8. *The body you messed up*

You have only one body to live with all your life. The cigarettes, the alcohol you are abusing, the drugs you are taking, the unhealthy food you're consuming; all that will destroy you slowly.

When you are 50 and lifestyle diseases catch up with you, you will wish you took care of your body when younger, that you exercised more; but now the damage is done.

9. *The time you wasted*

The time you are wasting when younger in worry, wrong relationships, laziness, being a couch potato, giving excuses and pursuing meaningless things; you will never get it back.

10. *The dreams and talents you shelved*

Are you talented when young; are there things you love to do and you are good at them?

Nurture those talents, exploit them, don't give up even if you encounter set backs, don't give up on your dreams. If you give up, when you're older you will look at your peers who stuck to what they love and made it and think to yourself,

"That could have been me". Pursue a career, study a course you love. Don't waste years of your life in a field that doesn't fulfill you.

11 *The name you defamed*

When you are older, a legacy is very important, the value of your name is crucial. You will ask yourself what is your reputation,

what are you leaving behind?

Your legacy is a sum total of your actions since youthful days. We write our biography by how we live life everyday. When you look back your path and you see the mud you threw at your own name, the shame you attracted and the little value you have added to the world; you will regret.

12. *The wealth you threw away*

Are you riding on good money during your productive years?
Earning good money?

Don't throw away that money in clubs, reckless living and wasteful shopping. Invest with that money, widen your revenue stream, make that money work for you and keep it safe to take care of you in your older years. Leave an inheritance for your loved ones so that you will never say "I wish I knew better"

13. *The good love that got away*

Is there that great person in your life loving you good?

Don't push that person away, or else that person will walk out your life and you will never ever find someone that incredible and who connects with you all your life. It will torment you to grow older with thoughts of "What if I was still with that person?"

14 *The parents you despised*

When younger, it is easy to show contempt to your parents; what do your parent's know?

They are old-fashioned, shady and small -minded. But your parents are still your parents whether you agree with them or not, whatever their style.

Don't let your parent die or age separated from you, reconcile and make up. When you get older, you will realize why your parents wanted to be close to you. The older you get, the more you see the value.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have

Thanks for reading

AlexReports:
BREAKING: President Buhari Bags Global Integrity, Anti-Corruption Award Of Excellence

Information reaching ABUJAPRESS says that Buhari Bags Global Integrity, Anti-Corruption Award Of Excellence

President Muhammadu Buhari, has bagged the Global Integrity and Anti-Corruption Award of Excellence.

This is to recognize his lifetime outstanding commitment to the fight against corruption and selfless service with exceptional integrity.

Buhari has been honoured with the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Examiners of Nigeria (CIFCFEN) GLOBAL INTEGRITY AND ANTI CORRUPTION AWARD OF EXCELLENCE.

A statement signed by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President, Media & Publicity stated that the President was presented with the Award on Tuesday in Abuja by the Chairman Governing Council CIFCFEN Board of Trustees, Dr Iliyasu Gashinbaki.

The award is the highest honour of the Institute reserved for only African Heads of States with impeccable character and unimpeachable ideals.

The Nigerian leader is the first African leader to be bestowed with the award. Receiving the award, President Buhari thanked the Institute for the honour, saying:

”This recognition further imbues in me hope that we will as individuals and citizens of this country begin to live right and imbibe the ideals and ethos of the founding fathers of this great nation.”

The President pledged ”to look into and assent accordingly” a bill seeking the formal establishment of CIFCFEN, acknowledging that the Bill is presently before him.

Buhari Bags Global IntegrityBuhari Bags Global Integrity
He commended the Institute for working and effectively complementing the efforts of law enforcement agencies, including the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) and the Police.

He directed the anti-corruption agencies to continue partnering with the Institute for the benefit of the country.

Furthermore, the President directed the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning to work with the Institute in areas of providing technical assistance and capacity building to all revenue generating agencies and regulators in the public sector.

The President lauded the Board of Trustees for issuing the first independent review of graft fighting strategy of the country, adding that he is pleased to receive copies of the latest flagship publication, the Annual (2021) CIFCFEN Country Report, themed around the review of the Country’s National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2017-2021.

”This is the first independent review of graft fighting strategy and I commend the Institute for this initiative.”

Justifying the importance of forensics and fraud examination in the fight against corruption, President Buhari said:

”The need for forensic experts arises in educating, preventing, detecting and prosecuting fraudsters, while fraud examination helps mitigate vices like embezzlement, money laundering, misuse and mismanagement of public resources.

”Many Nigerians, who are serious about eliminating corruption in our country, will welcome this review of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy midwifed by the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-Corruption in 2017 and supported by our International friends.

”This has been our flagship effort in fighting corruption and we did this by distilling all previous strategies geared towards fighting corruption into a single strategy, while this review comes with recommendations that will be carefully reviewed by the Office of the Attorney General and adopted in our 2nd National Anti-Corruption Strategy that will be unveiled shortly.

”This effort by the Institute to undertake the review of the national anti-corruption strategy is highly commendable and it has shown the usefulness of partnerships with professional bodies and my administration will continue to partner with the Institute and as well as other private institutions, the academia and other stakeholders in the fight to stop sleaze and mitigate corruption.

You call that a win-win? That's crazy.
Finland shares border with Russia like Ukraine does, such instance that Putin refers to the Russian backyard and have threatened the Fins beforehand that joining NATO will be disastrous for them, shortly into the invasion of Ukraine... Now his tone has softened, his stance shifted and you call it a win win situation. Ukraine hadn't even signed up with NATO yet, before Putin pushed in to subdue Kiev. Now all that plan has changed, yielding a more resilient Ukraine, an isolated Russia, a more united NATO, an increased German military budget with two additions to NATO- one being a direct Russian neighbour, who defied Putin's threat to his face, and you call these a win-win situation.
I don't know why you Putin guys keep holding unto a sinking ship with strong sentiments, beclouding your perception of an obvious reality.

Kasaliola:
Good evening house... please I need your help.. if there is any marriage counselor or therapist. This could be lengthy and lot of typo... Please forgive me.. I open a new account for this.

I Am a father of two.. have been dating my wife since 2009, before we got married in 2014. But before the we got married we have been a love birds whereby everybody loves the way we cuddled ourself..

Its started in 2011 before I rented my first apartment, my parents didn't want me to marry her and her parents too, especially her big brother and sisters.. though it caused a lot of commotion then. But thank God they allowed cuz we forcefully told them we are meant for each other, I even speak bad words to my mother then, saying If I don't marry her in ur present I will marry her in her absent, those words hurt so dearly so she has to leave me and go ahead with my plans. And same thing with my wife family.

In 2012 I rented my own apartment and started living me.. I can't forget the very first day I raise my hands on her, I felt ashame of my self.. I don't care what she does or say then.. but I regretted doing so, I cried at the middle of the road cuz I don't know what came over me.

The only problem I have with her is that she swings mood. Always moody everytime and my parents noticed this when they come around and when she went to thier place..
This made me beat her plus the ways she disrespected me.. after doing this shameful thing, I will now come back to my senses and started begging her. I even beat her this Sunday.. all I want is someone to talk to on how I can stop this beating.. how I can tolerate her lifestyle... Am so mad and ashamed of my self.. if help me...

Thank you
A woman beater married a mood sweenga. Cool. Now it looks like you love someone you don't understand? But its all good.
Your temperament is your weakness. Her frequent mood swings is one of her weaknesses too. Its one of her puzzles that her soulmate should be able to fix but unfortunately, you cant even tame your spirit to begin with; easily given off to your emotions.
Ask God to help you work on yourself first, then we can continue from there. You are the problem here.
You should be able to get into her head in such a way that even if she shuts out the whole world, she can still cry on your shoulder and pour out her heart. The worst thing you'll do is take a silly action that'll make her lock up and stay withdrawn from you; which I think you've probably done already.
Just work on yourself first.

Around that time, she started dating a leading professional ballet dancer and director by the name of Igor Zelensky.

Embarrassingly for Putin, the 52-year-old potential son-in-law shares his surname with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, his bitter rival since Russia launched its "special military operation" in Ukraine back in February.

The fact that Katerina and dancer Zelensky were dating was revealed after an investigation by Russian independent news outlet IStories and Germany’s Der Spiegel.

It has also been revealed that the pair share a two-year-old daughter.

The Ukraine invasion and subsequent western sanctions against Russian nationals have actually stopped Katerina from visiting her partner in Munich.

It appears they were living together in Germany until this year, as the iStories report states: "For two years, from 2017 to 2019, the little girl's mother had to fly this route — from Moscow to Munich and back — many dozens of times.

She lived in Russia, and her daughter's father lived in Germany, where he directed the Bavarian State Ballet. His name is Igor Zelensky."

The investigation found flight documents relating to "Katerina Tikhonova, Zelensky, a child, nannies, [and] security guards". Tikhonova was found to have flown to Munich more than 50 times in two years.

The report continued: "By the end of 2019, Katerina Tikhonova apparently got tired of constantly flying to Munich, and she decided to move in with her partner.

"At least, this is indicated by one of the letters in the archive of the guard of Putin's daughter Alexei Skripchak."

Zelensky is not believed to be related to the namesake Ukrainian President.

The Russian with Georgian roots quit the Bavarian State Ballet last month, reportedly because he refused to condemn his girlfriend's dad's invasion of Ukraine.

Just like Volodymyr goes for Vladimir in Russian. This is a subtle message to Putin that he's out to hurt himself badly.

Causing pains to your kinsmen in your locality to prove a point to the presidency is idiocy. Fighting for a good cause in the most stupid way. Now you've taken a turn against a just move from a firebrand to spread the Gospel. These guys are not wise at all. This is the fastest route to complete failure and frustration.

I will reply you. First Russia never boasted of taking Ukraine in 2 weeks. Even US needed more than 1 year to take over the whole of Iraq. So conquering a capital in 2 weeks is a ridiculous western propaganda. Even Nigeria cannot be conquered in 2 weeks.

2. That was one vessel out of many. In war, things like this are expected. If they were not hit, Russia will not work to improve its naval defense.

3. Which of the important Generals? My guy, Russian generals plenty. That country has been focused on war since 2nd world war. This war is like a training ground.

4. The Nordic countries have always been tilted to the West. They have a choice of joining NATO, it simply will label them as unfriendly to Russia.

5. The embassies are opening because Kiev is not going to be attacked. At first, everyone thought Putin was mad and will take Kiev but now, Kiev will only be demilitarized.

For your own good, clear yourself abit from Western propaganda.
Beautiful nonsense.

You all thinking this is a loss to Russia indeed.
First of all, Kiev was never the target. The Special Military Operation was for denazification, deweaponization and the liberation of the Luhansk people's republic and Donestsk People's Republic.
The reason why countries are putting their embassies back in Kiev is simply because they have realized that taking Kiev is not the priority. The reason for the attacks near Kiev in the first place was to put pressure on the Ukrainian forces from all angles. Then tactically withdraw back to the Donbass.
The world has to accept that Ukraine will not control the Donbass any more.
Delusion overload. So pathetic

Romance › Re: My Girlfriend Keeps Posting Her Ex Pictures On Her Whatsapp Status by Karnice600: 11:43am On May 19, 2022
Alaigbopress:
Please Elders in the house I need a serious advice because I don't want to make mistake.

I met this girl about four months ago, I approached her and after some weeks we started dating. She told me that she broke up with ex boy friend last December because her parents were not in support of the marriage. She told me that she has nothing to do with the said boyfriend.

But recently I noticed that she still share the pictures of the ex boy friend on her Whatsapp status and even still use his pictures as her phone wall paper. I confronted her about that and she said it does not mean anything. Since we started dating she has not for one posted my pictures on her Whatsapp status but has posted that of her ex up to o three times.

The one that got me sad and made me threaten to dump her is that she posted a WhatsApp Status requesting that anyone who mention her Boy Friend's name will get a credit card rewards and most of her friends were mentioning her Ex's name and she was cool to post the screenshots of where they mentioned her ex's name. Know it that some of my friends are also her friend and they saw the status and they have been asking me if the girl is actually dating me or someone else.

Please Elders in the House what should I do. Should I quit this relationship or should I confront her and hear her out?. Please Mod move it to front page I beg You.
Why call elders in the house if you're not ready for marriage?
Well, here in Africa, we elders don't encourage extensive boyfriend-girlfriend involvements if you don't have the intention of meeting her parents. So elders can't give you an advice on that...
Now here's the advice as a big brother. That girl is still a Player. If you get emotionally attached, you'll get burnt. So if u want her for pleasure, get it fast and be her next ex. She could probably know your value afterwards and start posting your pictures, who cares.
If you want her for something serious, you just have to detach and walk away. Respect your mum's sweat to grow you into a full young man. If any woman can't give you that respect in return, then see her as an empty space, non existent...
Just move on to better things
