There was a stock I dabbled into in 2008. Dealt with my capital like shege - lost 90% at some point and sat there, so I forgot about it.

Two days ago, I received AGM notification and decided to check and saw it had double the 2008 price. I don't even know how to access it apart from reaching out to the Registrars

I plan to offload soon and get something else. I had since lost touch and interest in stocks......

I am looking for people who have experienced this, or have an idea on how to solve this issue.

My lexus RX330 2005 drives very fine. It doesn't throw up any error code as regards to it's drivability. Currently, the only error codes it is throwing up is 0430 and 0420 code "catalyst system inefficiency below threshold bank 1 and bank 2". I know it has to do with the China catalysts I installed in the bank 1 and 2 port as I don't have money for the original direct tokumbo ones. Mine was stolen.

Back to the subject, at every cold start up, mostly in the morning, when I put it in reverse, it moves fast and quickly as it should, but when I put it in drive, the car only revs as you pedal it but doesn't move, it will look as if it is in park or neutral. It doesn't move, it only revs and revs, then after about 8-10mins of the car idling and steaming (the car has become warm) then you pedal it, it will gradually and hesitantly start moving slowly and then pick up within some seconds and drive very fine all throughout the day. The gear selects very fine. This situation only happens when the car is cold (like 7-8hrs of parking). If it is warm, it doesn't happen. Me and my mechanic has inspected the selenoids in the gear body valve, inspected the gear shift sensor, the gear speed sensor, the 13 pins, all are okay. The right gear oil is what I use and it is gauged.

I have exhausted my research, me and my mechanic has run out of ideas, the mechanic is advising me to get a direct tokumbo japan 13pin gearbox and replace it, that the problem is from the gearbox drive fiber, that the gear is also old, since it is 2005; That if I don't change the gear, it will affect my engine. My engine is barely a month old (direct Japan tokumbo 3MZ). I just changed it after a failed oil pump destroyed the old one.

This gear box is very expensive, I can't afford it now and I don't want to jeopardise my 'new' japan tokumbo engine. Anyone have similar experience or have an idea of solving this problem?

Sorry for the long write up, I needed to detail this situation. Thanks for your expected input.

Your transmission issue is with hardened bonded pistons, particularly the forward clutch piston. Because of hardening (becoming like plastic) over the years, they can't hold the supplied hydraulic in place and therefore can't apply the clutches. After they warm up, they soften and expand to spec and start building pressure. The only repair way is to find a competent tech who can get good replacements and do a good job. Because good replacement parts are not readily available new, he must remove from a junk box and check for softness before replacing.

To ensure you don't have only two kilometers of drive after this repair, he must apply the cleanest work ethic he can muster during this repair. It's advised the transmission is washed thoroughly after detachment before It's opened. Pressure (car) wash is best, since he wont have a parts washer.Common sense should know to cover the shaft hole before washing. He must ensure that not even a grain of sand gets in. If not, you'll need another valvebody soon afterwards.

Follow these and your transmission will be back soon.

But rest assured though, that this issue gat nothing on your engine. If you can't find a competent tech, you can be managing it like that until you can replace it. Just make sure the pressure is up before driving, else you'll wear out the friction plates fast. All the best!

I have Toyota Corolla 2018 that rpm goes up like its firing itself, making that drastic raising sound. And the car jerks in this process, that gbim sound, all this happens in like 5s and were seldomly happening till it became frequent and now i cant drive the the car for 5m without it coming to an halt until i let it rest.

A gear came and said it’s a gear issue that it is the clutch/turtle(can’t remember) and he can fix it.

Question now is that can it be fixed or i should just get a new gearbox or just sell the car off?

Scan, manually shift with a capable scanner, watch live data. These will point you in the right direction. Looks like you've not lost any range though....

I understand the risk of losses perfectly. This is like buying a land. It may fly after 1 year, 10 years or even 20years but I choose to buy digital land. Why una always like to reduce a growing mind? Omo even if I loose every dollar, I'll be bold enough to tell my children I tried during the crypto burst. Unlike our parents that were clapping for their mates during the early Microsoft days .

You're really taking a bold step. Do a hell of DYOR and don't listen to what anybody says. I've chimed in here a few times and saw that many self-acclaimed gurus don't even know what they're doing. Just narrow down on a few solid tokens and throw in your might at the right time.

Whenever I drive, I get an MPG of 18 to 19MPG.
Three days ago, I gave my friend the car and I sat on the front passenger seat while he drove us. When we checked the MPG on the dashboard, I was surprised to see 27MPG. So I'm curious, I know it'd be the driving pattern. He is a better driver than I am. I have called on him to come to my place to teach me how he's driving.

I want to know how you drive to save fuel. I need to start saving fuel while I drive.

Start driving like you don't have brakes. You'll notice that you match or even surpass your friend's mpg.

Please I need help with my 08 Elantra. Its been parked for a long time but I intend fixing it now. While driving, it doesn't move into next gear when the gas pedal is stepped on. Rather engine only revs higher then it takes some time before gear eventually engages. Reverse works perfectly. It was scanned and the flowing codes came up:

P0700 - Transmission control system (MIL requested)
P0011 - "A" Camshaft position - Timing over advanced or system performance
P0501 - Vehicle speed sensor "A" range performance
P0625 - Generator Field/F Terminal circuit Low.
