This government is doing everything a government should not. Why expend public funds on religious rituals? |
At least, I'm relieved you found no justification for such barbaric conduct. |
In response to atheism and to all other intellectual positions of skepticism and doubt, we Christians, by faith, boldly and confidently proclaim: GOD IS!" AmenGive the big guy a chance to speak for himself/herself ![]() |
Whether we liked it or not, it would have been a continual dictatorship by IBB. Still retains my tag of the worst election. Before then, when has a Southerner being elected? |
^^refreshing someone interesting has come along. As i said earlier, the right of every citizen to vote, includes the right to have the broadest options possible. IBB imposed two parties on Nigerians, wrote their manifesto, selected the candidates. Its faulty! In Nigeria, a free and fair election is the election whereby a Southerner is provided power. Simple! To me, that was the crappiest election ever! |
^^ . Its normal for you to find it difficult to persuade people with unsubstantiated beliefs. It like selling the idea of dragons or vampires or another religion. One has to be on the same frequency with them, reason it out, entertaining deep questions, Then, if you make sense; you win their hearts! |
its too obvious you have a lot to share. |
^^how do you read? upside down? What I was trying to say is Abiola is not a Mandela to sweat over, IBB felt it was within his powers to set up an election and it was also within his powers to annul it for whatever reason he had! Simple. Abiola was favored by being one of the two candidates, thats absurd! either i vote between IBB two choices, that is not election. |
brahim Babangida has the singular dishonor of presiding over the killing of the finest military officer Nigeria has ever produced. At one go he wasted General Mamman Vatsa and 16 senior military officers most exceptional fighter pilots. They were all from the middle belt and the south. In 1990, Babangida again murdered 41 officers and soldiers, some retired. The youngest was 21 years an Igbo Army Officer by the name of 2nd Lieutenant Nicholas Ude. All of them were still from the middle belt and Southern Nigeria.Weren't there coups? At least they were tried by competent military tribunals. In September 1992, Ibrahim Babangida still had the singular dishonor of murdering in one swoop 212 middle level military officers when he killed then in the Ejigbo Air force plane crash in Lagos. We are not mentioning the assassination of people like Dele Giwa or Vice Admiral Muftau Elegbede yet.Every plane crash must have been orchestrated by the government? If you have evidence to back that up, wouldn't mind if you share it with us. All the blood of the innocent killed in the June 12 election annulment riot plus that of Chief MKO Abiola and Alhaja Kudirat Abiola are all on Babangida's head.Fela had always distrusted Abiola. Abiola was just another crony of the military regime. |
How did your northern candidates get there? competence? . mumu. So whose duty to factor the workability of a new educational system before introducing it? If implementation was not factored in before its introduction , then tell me why it was introduced?
In Nigeria and on political issues, foools like the above poster, with their narrow minds; see matters thru the prism of who is a northerner and who is not. What does my ethnicity have to do with the failure of the education sector? Are federal schools better under Jonathan - NO! I still do not agree our leaders past had done anything useful. |
zubeyr:In the Iraqi-Iranian War, Iranian 30000 youths were pushed to the front without arms but cheap plastic keys, with which they were to open their cheap heaven with. Isn't that scandalous? The Shite and Sunnis are also divided on major doctrines of Islam, like the need for an intermediary with God. The Sunnis believe that with the awesomeness of god/allah, he is as close to you as your jugular vein. But the Shite, place religious leaders in an ethereal position. Worship of these figures are seen as idolatry by Sunnis. And wherever they find themselves, they endeavour to kill one another. |
Nigeria generally suffers from this illness of illiteracy, poverty and corruption. There are as much unemployment in the South as with the North. The North is simply comparatively worse than the South, which southern politican is not involved in corruption? It would be wanton exaggeration to insist the South is not in the same pot with the North. |
zubeyr:The main divisions of Islam (Sunnis and Shites) have not agreed on the actual doctrines passed down by Mohammed, then how can you is true and pure? |
egift:to make everyone happy, the country should be divided into 360 states, with individual police force + federal police, national assembly, and bureaucracy. the country would make a lot of sense! Economy: Establish Creativity Funds (for funding creative ideas of Nigerian youths),Like the country has enough cash to burn! |
Twilight? Wetin do Inception or Shutter Island? |
Excommunicated, filed to go to hell. there was this emperor that knelt in the snow for about three days, pleading to the pope to relieve fom condemnation in hell. |
I do not understand why we are for prejudical towards polytheism? There could be more than a single ingredient to existence. Early man seeing the diversity and complexity of nature, felt it took more than one shoulder to carry the world. |
One point, I can emphasize with confidence, is Bonnke never saw the dead body, when it was brought. Not to speak of praying. The story itself is doubtful. |
Actually, alexleo manipulated the facts, the dead pastor was never prayed upon by Bonnke, the body was taken thru a back entrance of the Cathedral and placed in a room. It was believed that the presence of Bonnke in the same building with the body, was what caused the miracle. |
Primarily, the bone of contention is whether the zoning arrangement still exists. Atiku, Saraki and co are taking advantage of the chaos caused by Jonathan. |
Jonathan is just an assshoole, lacks vision, its luck, rather thancompetence he found himself in the presidency. the 6334 has failed for improper implementation. |
Could you imagine, that Jonathan is supporting the most infamous politican, gold obsessed Akala. |
5columnist:Though, i do not believe in zoning, the best time for Jonathan and his cronies to oppose it was from its inception and not now. Besides we are still in the primitive times, Niger Delta is burning the country. bones1:in a decent country, a disaster as the Abuja bombings, would culminate to the fall of a government. like in Japan, prime minister fails on his promises and six months after taking power, resigns. the incompetence Jonathan has shown in handling this crisis is enough to impeach him. Goddex:And you believe he bombed Abuja? You got that info from your dream? mend claims responsibility, jonathan says its not his ppl, ex militants say its not mend and Okah a high figure in mend is prosecuted for the bombings, and Jonathan has promised to destroy Okah. What a clear picture! Mbeki:don't you think that tribalistic? ![]() |
, in one word: Mystery. |
>>> still i assert you have no moral right to criticize a 'God' you don't believe in >>> pointing out His 'evil' actionsGuilty |
There is a political battle going on within PDP, on power-sharing. The party's policy of zone is to ensure every ethnic group benefits from power, since ethnicity is the sole power base of every nigerian politican. On such agreement did Jonathan jump on board, the system has once profited the West/South, and its the Northerners' turn. Now its against him and then wants to destroy everything altogether. i think that is too selfish. Jonathan is a crook! If nigerians do not like zoning, they should vote for another competent party. Ciroma, who was reacting on the October 1 bombings, said: “Now that the president has proven that he is incapable of leading the nation justly and fairly and that he is desperate enough to want to hang mass murder around the neck of unnamed Northerners to achieve his second term, we as citizens of this country have totally lost confidence in his leadership and hereby call on him to immediately resign. The idea of Jonathan backing a rebel group from his region and then pushing the blame on his political rivals, lacks all sense and too backward. The so-called investigation has not being thru, but Jonathan is pointing fingers. Repeatedly, Nigerians have been butchered and killed during “religious riots” in Northern Nigeria, the latest and most recurring being the Jos and Plateau State pogrom. Ciroma and his group were silent and did not ask President Yar’Adua, who was president during the peak of the crisis last year, to resign.I don't understand how that is justification for government negligence. The security services got the warning long before the explosion, that is called incompetence! Besides as a religious conflict, both the Christians and Muslims had their hands deep in blood. |
@ bastage, i think that is the root of all the trouble, beliefs and assumptions are mistaken for the truth. if one presumes there is a god, he must be aware, he diving into speculation. |
Creativity often strikes a chord with passing, you ve proved it doesn't. Do you know of any book on football tactics which could be helpful. |
