thanks medjai. |
Seen an Hindu story of Afterlife, they believe heaven is like a a massive bureaucracy and mistakes inevitably occur. so one who was not appointed for death, could die but resurrect. So it varies with cultural settings and religion. |
As I correctly predicted, the thread is on the course to derailment. As to castigation of another's religion, its justified if you and that person are on the same planet, it concerns your welfare what beliefs spin in his world. If an person in his head, insists he should blow himself and some people. Though, I believe there is no god or gods; for the sake of convenience, assume his existence to point out the flaws for his/her nonexistence. To Christians the bible is an inerrant word of god, thus a perfect tool of conveying the almighty's instruction to his chosen creation. With the high expectation for perfection, the bible has being a constant source of disappointment. Blatant contradictions with scientific knowledge (check out Jacob's genetics), internal contradictions: some conflicting verses and a shock to our moralty. Assuming the christian god exists, a perfect god at that; his laws of course will be unchanging and the highest level of morality attainable. but this verse |
I am always fascinated whenever christians and muslims try to explain and infect you with their doctrines. As their god is ever intriguing, he/she is an almighty and yet has an equal rival making things tough for god. Hijacking his/her creations be it angels, man or animals, competing on an equal level for supremacy( is the devil a god too? christianity is rapidly turning into polytheism, angels, saints etc). I always remember thomas paine's imagination of a god. they are too many worlds apart! |
@ the Clown, if a portion of the bible is useless, why don't you tear it off since its considered extralegal |
Scarface! Scarface!!! |
One could conclude that Sin is artifical. |
We get it, islam does not make sense. Yet no religion does either, that is why its maintained by faith, not with your eyes, ears and head opened. Give it a rest! That reminds me, Jacob's idea of genetics is appalling. Joshua grasp of the universe is woeful. Animals talking, |
You said it all bro,Its unfortunate you are not in Saudi Arabia, in reasonable societies, everything is questioned including political and religious authorities. |
This has being an eternal argument. The principal source of this confusion is the holy book - the Bible. A number of writers with different aims and messages, compiled into a single volume is a recipe for disaster. The funny thing about tithes is that both parties provide scriptural references on two different positions! The idea of a supreme being who reduces himself to be catered for by his imperfect creations is absurd! I prefer thomas paine's God. Coz he's too awesome. Imagine a better god next time. |

^^Hell in the earth's core and heaven in the skies, then your god is tinnier than the universe. |
maybe drogba would prove to be the difference again. But i wish fabregas was playing, I have this feeling arsenal would take it. |
No help? |
^^its like that muslim belief that their god's ear is open at certain times. if you stuff more cash into god's pocket, the happier he would be with you. |
All human societies are faced with the issue of leadership, it has stirred up some of the biggest conflicts with generational impacts, the French revolution. That is where democracy comes in. The people, that is those not involved in actual governance and to whom the benefits accrue to; have the power to pick who how leaders will be. In Africa, this power is hijacked by the elite, the privileged few with the means to secure power; aided by poverty, illiteracy and to so extent religion. the first for democracy, is often a violent step of snatching back power. It is right taken, not one given. One cannot go to the voting centre and not expect rigging, someone has something on line, maybe his fortune. We fail to realize that the power to do and undo is the greater power. As in all developed democratic countries, the people often have this potential to violently guard their rights and that is what Africa is missing. I feel we have to cultivate these attitudes, before any thing can change for better. |
Bu still they do "rob" the Lord. Why is this so.Sometimes, i wonder if its a god at all. He/she seems so helpless. |
Hey, Mudley is back! good yu showed that in its true light. but seriously, that dud is jokin. maybe more prayers will do the trick ![]() |
What about us? ![]() |
Still scamming ppl! |
Just one word for ARSENal. GET A GOALKEEPER! Quit playing fine boys. |
Aren't you guys in the same wagon? following faith and see where you all are IN A CONFUSED STATE! |
^^yet you have not addressed certain issues; Are tithes compulsory? If so, what are the consequences of default? Does a born again need to rehearse? Sorry, if one is a Christian, what is the use of being born again.? |
What your idea on creativity, especially for midfielders in the mould of Xavi, Ozil, Does it pertain to pass accuracy? or vision, or off the ball movement, use of space, I'm in an argument if Arteta is creative as such? |
Sorry I cannot do that. Charity starts at home. Why should I worry about other people who do not give a dammn about my people? What kind of sense does that make?It bores down to tribalism. My people against your people, and yet we all have the same problems, |
Its bad for the whole country. it could mean a war, consequently conscription. Maybe divert all NYSC to the military. ![]() |
With a blindfold? Nice, |
