Despite maintaining that the Bible was not self-contradictory, so asked a couple questions and see if two different answers can be fashioned out of it!
Lets test the bible for contradictions:
Was the stone to the tomb, open or not?
How did judas die?
Is God's anger forever?
Does God rest?
its simple,
^^whats unintelligent about?
you need the absurd super intelligence of faith.
Its that contradictory? What intellectual effort is needed in taking up a superstition?

I think the incentive to live is in life itself, There is the reluctance to be extinguished. Besides compulsive suicidal traits would be discouraged.
besides there is no purpose to live, just like there is no purpose for the wide largely empty universe,

It was an illusory satisfaction, at the presumed presence of god in your life. god did communicate back, in my words and desires!
Actually, salvation is achieved by following the list; do not steal another man's wife, pay tithes,
then the doors(i wonder why human inventions are commonly used) of heavens would open up to you,

The first step towards stupidity, is ever accepting that faith, as reason is another means to acquiring knowledge. Anybody that does that is a fooool!

the irony of subscribing to atheism >>> u become a theist
Religion is central to God or Gods, atheism is centred on what?
Any organised opposition towards religion, is misinterpreted to be religion. The common trait among atheists is the use of reason, simple.
'confusions' & violence on the part of 'Christians' >> (i'm equally wary of the word for the reason u advocate) >>> do not consititute
'sufficient proof' that Christianity >>> and (taking it a step further) God is 'pure' nonsense
Did you see what you wrote? Can there be two truths on a subject - NO NO! If god exists, and his/her followers provide different definitions for him/her, then there is a PROBLEM.

@uyi
that was an irony.
this atheist considers himself smart simply on the basis of having NO opinion on either religions?
Actually they do have an opinion, - no god or gods. Its usually a battle between reason and faith
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Life A Dream ? by Kay17: 3:50pm On Sep 25, 2010
First wassup with those arrows, looks like retarded expression,

Reality is best perceived by our senses, it also depends on what you consider a dream.

The idea that the presence of suffering and failure, is indicative of a dream is fallacious.

For an agnostic's stand is untenable, by claiming it is impossible to ascertain the existence of God, is itself contradictory since his agreed, he cannot define god!

Christianity Etc › Re: Are Athiest The Most Intelligent People? ? by Kay17: 8:59pm On Sep 24, 2010
A key point of disagreement with deepsight, is the number he can give to the creative minds/forces of this universe. How were you able to ascertain that there is a single creator, Diving into speculation, there could be coexisting and cooperative factors/forces which are responsible for different spheres of existence. At least we agree that the complexity of the world is what warrants and accommodates a creator or creators.

Example, the spiritual world and material one governed by different laws and BEINGS,

Also don't you think you are biased towards a single god, by your environment? I mean that monotheism is in vogue, in our present world, so your mind is not on that frequency to readily accept plurality in origins.
Christianity Etc › Re: Are Athiest The Most Intelligent People? ? by Kay17: 6:45pm On Sep 24, 2010
Okay, I lay the question who is god?

The problem arises, the definition of god. remember you ve rejected that provided by religion.

Is it a being responsible for the creation of the universe?

Does he form a small part of his own world?

The features of omniscient, omnipotent, necessary?
