MTN is my main line which I used for Nimc registration, and I didn't register recently

Has anybody been able to dial *346# for retrieval of his/her NIN after registration?Because I submitted successfully and anytime I tried to retrieved using the above code, it kept telling me NIN doesn't exist I should visit nearest Nimc office.

Following recent directive by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) requiring customers to link their National Identity Number (NIN) to their mobile phone numbers, please beware of fraudsters who may try to take advantage of the situation to steal valuable personal information from you.

You may receive calls or messages from people claiming to be from NIMC or any of the telecommunications service providers (e.g. MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile etc). They may go as far as telling you that a NIN verification code has been sent to you and you should call out the code to them. Please ignore such calls or messages, as these sort of techniques can be used to carry out SIM swap and online payment related frauds with your identity.

To avoid falling victim, ensure you follow the official directions from your mobile phone service provider to link and verify your national identity.

If your service provider is unable to validate the NIN you submitted, they will instruct you to visit their offices for further verification.

Be cyber smart and protect yourself from fraud.

Hello Moderator,

Am a new car owner though been driving for a while.

Please what can I do to my car battery that runs down quickly. The alternator is fine as confirmed by my mechanic. Most times i remove one of the battery terminals after parking to prevent being run down overnight.
I await your valuable insights on this issue. The car is Honda Accord Eod ex.

U have to check ur alternator very well
It might be the culprit

Start the car disconnect one of the battery terminals
Power on ac, headlight and wiper watch and see if the engine goes off

In 1992,1993 u dont display that thing outside always kept inside locker with key cos its attracting thieves. I remembered my dad always locked it whenever we want to watch he would open the locker but refused to bring it out.

In 2000 it became surplus anybody could afford it.

Your car is okay. Just take her to the highway once in a while to blow out some carbon and thoroughly warm up that oil. Change your oil more frequently as this qualifies as severe driving conditions.

So let's say OP works Monday to Friday. 10 days right. It takes OP 10 days to cover 81 miles. That's 8 miles per day. 4m miles to and 4 miles from. OP covers 4 miles in 15 minutes. That's an average speed of 16 mile an hour. You see where I am going with this?
Average speed is the key here. OP hardly ever gets into 3rd gear let alone 4th gear where the engine is at its most fuel efficient. OP is often in second and first gear.

Nothing is wrong with your car OP. Your route and short distance is the issue which results in very low average speeds and hence the seemingly poor mpg.

Your car is fine.

You are 100 percent correct, I don't get to 3rd and 4th gear. Yes my speed is very low. I just want to know if it consumes fuel. I covered short distance

I used that picture to show how my dashboard look like cos have read on nairaland asking about what is inside and outside the speedometer. Either miles, mpg or km

No you fill the tank, drive for maybe a week and ask them to fill the tank again.

Check the mileage difference and how many litres they put in.

But before I buy fuel to my car I always wait for reserve light to show and when it does that, I will enter filling station I buy 5k fuel at 160 per litre. So I just want to use it to calculate the fuel consumption

I usually prefer doing full tank (when the dispenser clicks once) to full tank.

It's more accurate the reserve light can have a mind of its own.
